I’ve been completely MIA these past few weeks because Jamaica (aka where I live) decided to throw hands with a whole hurricane. Yep. WiFi? Gone. Electricity? Gone. My will to fight for my life every day? Hanging on by one frayed thread and a box of matches.

  Anyway, the storm (Hurricane Melissa, you rude queen) hit hard, and the whole country’s been recovering. I just got back access to the internet after three weeks of living like it’s 1825, and as much as I wanted to post updates—there was literally nothing I could do.
