Chapter 18

I looked at Cecelia in her school uniform. Unlike ours, hers was a lighter one; a white shirt with a rge blue colr adorned with some white lines. At the end of the colr - between where the two sides met in the middle - was a white twin-double red ribbon. Her sleeves were short, and at the end they had the same blue cuffs with the same white lines. Her pleated skirt was white with blue lines just before the hem. It definitely gave off a more youthful, pure look rather than the elegant, professional look our uniform seemed to give off.

"Are you ready?" I asked, seeing her put her shoes on.

"Ye—yes, Alicia." Cecelia uttered, looking at me, "I'm ready."

"Alright then." I checked my bag on my shoulder - good. Looking back at the hallway with the stairs going up, I mentally made sure I had everything. "Let's get going Cecelia."

"Unn." With a nod from her, I opened the front door for Cecelia. With both of us out, we both headed to my school together.

"Teseia Cecelia." The front office personnel uttered, before giving her a neck strap with a simple tag with her name, "Welcome to Thersia District Central Commerce Highschool, enjoy your visit here."

"T—thank you..." Cecelia uttered before looking at me.

I simply smiled, "Thank you for helping me and my sister." I responded, "Come on, let's get going Cecelia."

"Unn!" She quickly moved next to me before following me to my morning homeroom css.

Luckily for me, making school visits for middle school students was very easy; especially if they had connections to the school. Just the pretense of her 'seeing the normal school life' with me was enough justification; so today Cecelia could be a student of this school.

Walking through school with Cecelia, it seemed her presence spotlighted us, with both of us receiving more attention than normal from the other students. The attention on me due to my scores was slowly fading out, but with both of us walking through the hallways together, the first-year hallways had students looking at us with curious eyes. Despite me coming early, the attention of the few students here was solely on us two.

Soon enough we arrived at my homeroom css. I entered with Cecelia behind me. "Good morning Instructor Noe."

"Good morning Teseia—," Noe began to greet me, but upon seeing Cecelia behind me paused for a second, "Welcome to our school Miss Teseia." Noe quickly changed her tone to a welcoming, positive yet professional manner upon seeing Cecelia next to me.

"Go—good morning instructor..." Cecelia greeted Noe beside me.

I slowly took Cecelia alongside me to the front of the css to speak with Noe, "Apologies, but my sister Cecelia is here on a school visit. She'll be with me for my csses, so is it okay if she stays for this css?" I politely asked Noe - it was a given that Cecelia probably could stay, but I still asked to be polite.

Noe simply looked at Cecelia who was next to me... "Of course - thank you for asking Teseia." Noe replied before pulling me aside, "I can assume she is your younger sister?" I nod to Noe's words, "Certainly, it is surprising. Though you are still in school, even if it is the st days before our summer break, stay focused on your csses." Noe said before walking me back to Cecelia at the front podium, "But of course - I know you're a good student, so you both have fun today."

I smile, "Of course." I courteously bow, "Thank you Instructor Noe." Thanking her, I return to Cecelia, "Let's go Cecelia."

"Unn." Cecelia nods, following me to my seat. We didn't have concrete seat arrangements, so I let Cecelia sit next to me on my left - sitting one seat and table right from my seat.

I pushed my table next to hers and took out my study material. "You can study with me. If you have any questions, you can ask me Cecelia." I took out my first-year study materials and put them between us to go through.

"Um..." Cecelia then proceeded to ask me quite a few questions - which was expected. She was, after all, a middle school student looking through high school level learning material. Regardless, I took the time to carefully go through everything in an understandable, yet in-depth manner for Cecelia. Luckily, Cecelia was quick to understand what I taught - after a bit she understood what was on the textbook and with a little help, managed to solve a few problems.

We studied together like this, waiting until homeroom began. As students started coming in, they noticed both me and Cecelia, and soon enough we had quite a few gazes falling on us. I paid little attention to their gazes, simply studying with Cecelia—,

"Good morning Alicia—," Kristiea greeted me; I turn my head to look at Kristiea who went silent— "And good morning Cecelia."

  "Good morning Kristiea."

"Go—good morning... Fe—Kristiea..." Cecelia greeted her back, then shrank back into her seat upon looking around and seeing my cssmates look at her. I simply smiled - my cssmates didn't really say much, but it wasn't hard to know what was on their minds seeing them look at me and Cecelia.

Kristiea didn't make much of a scene either, she sat down next to me and scooted her table next to me. "This is a first. What made you want to bring Cecelia today, Alicia?"

"Simply a by chance coincidence." I replied, "Her school is on break, so I figured it would be nice to let her come with me and see how school life is over here. Besides—," I turn to look at Cecelia, "I'm pnning to help her attend this school." More than anyone else, Cecelia looked the most surprised hearing my procmation.

"..." Kristiea slightly stood, looking at Cecelia, "Welcome to our school Cecelia, don't worry, I'll be here with you alongside your sister. So, let's enjoy school together." Hearing Kristiea, Cecelia eased up, letting out a precious smile.

"Thank you—Kristiea." Cecelia's smile... darn—that smile is dangerous... Thank goodness it was only me who could really see the smile on her.

... I didn't even want to imagine how her smile radiating pure innocence and joy could move someone - thank goodness she was nothing more than a troubled, innocent yet timid and reserved girl...

Csses passed, and lunch came to. Me and Kristiea took Cecelia to the cafeteria and showed her around, though with our packed lunches, I suggested that we eat at the Legal and Law Club. It was to show Cecelia what a club looked like - albeit a pretty quiet club. Cecelia simply agreed to my suggestion, and with that the three of us went over to the Legal and Law Club to eat lunch.

I opened the door, "Wow, we're the first ones here." Looking around after Kristiea's words, it looked like we were the only ones here.

"Honestly I'm surprised about that as well." Usually Kaeu would be here normally - though I was sure he and Leicia would arrive sooner or ter. "Though, welcome to the Legal and Law Club Cecelia, the club president and the vice president aren't here yet, but this is the club—..." I then realized my odd retionship with this club... "Well—I'm not a member, but I enjoy the closed-off, personal, quiet space this club has."

"Unn..." With my introduction, we all sat down together at the club's round table before eating lunch.

Little did I know, Cecelia was more well received than I thought. My morning css instructors took to her quite well, and she also caught on quickly to css material. My cssmates were also quite open to her, especially Yederis - a scene I already knew was going to happen... I had to intervene a little due to her 'pushiness', but I knew Yederis didn't mean any ill-intent. Aside from Yederis, everyone was quite open to Cecelia—though honestly it was more directed towards us both rather than Cecelia or I in particur.

As we ate, the door opened and in came Kaeu with Leicia. "Welcome to the Legal and Law Club." I greeted the two walking in.

"Hello Tese—, Alicia, Cecelia." Kaeu began to greet me normally, but upon seeing Cecelia, he switched to greeting us by our names.

"You have a younger sister Teseia?" Though more than anything else, Leicia was the one surprised; though there was a hidden light in her eye seeing both me and Cecelia.

"Ah—sorry for the suddenness, but yes. My younger sister is—well," I turn to look at Cecelia, "I'll let her introduce herself."

Cecelia looked at me nervously... Well—I did put her in the spotlight now - but that was the pn. There was still a long way to go, but I wanted her to be more confident in herself and less... Well, there isn't anything wrong with being shy, but she could still interact with others despite being shy or reserved. More than anything else, I wanted to give her solid support from others, and to begin she would need to take the first step herself.

"... um—I'm... Teseia Cecelia—it is nice to meet you again, Ignation, and..." Cecelia looked at Leicia, unsure of what to say.

"I'm Qualtia Leicia—but you can call me Leicia!" Leicia said, boldly - before receiving my gre and noticing me, "... or—well, whatever you feel comfortable calling me. Though—would it be alright if I called you Cecelia, and," Looking at me, "you Alicia?"

"Um—ah..." Cecelia was at a loss again.

I stepped in, "For identity's sake, yes." I replied, "Though this is only for today and for when we're together."

"Ah, of course, 'Alicia'." Leicia said positively, "Ah, but, welcome to Thersia District Central Commerce Highschool, Cecelia."

  Cecelia smiled, "T—thank you... Leicia..."

The entire room froze - her killer smile simply froze the room with its pure innocence.

"Ahem—please don't mind us, but you are welcome to stay here Cecelia." Kaeu was the first to speak, as both he and Leicia took to their seats at the round table.

"Unn—thank you Ignation." Once again her smile radiated out - yet this time, everyone was ready as they simply returned the smile.

With everyone here, we ate together before simply being. Leicia, holding her own restraint, simply just watched me and Cecelia with wonder - holding back her urge to draw us.

"And, also, welcome to my club Cecelia, and welcome to Thersia District Central Commerce Highschool." As Kaeu said this, Cecelia's radiant smile turned brighter - honestly...

... I am thankful she was pure and innocent without ill-intent. That radiant smile alone could control the school...

Despite Cecelia being here, nothing changed in the club. She integrated smoothly, and we simply kept our club's pace and atmosphere as was - though I was gd that Cecelia was happy... That was the least I could ask for - her happiness.

"What made you decide on visiting our school, Cecelia?" Kaeu asked.

... Thinking about it, I wondered that as well... It was one thing for me to want her to come, it was another for her to actually want to. Yesterday, she seemed really on board with going with me when I asked if she wanted to visit my school after I reassured her she was welcome to come.

"I—um, I want to go to the same school my sister goes to..." I smiled, as I had a hunch it was that reason, "And... I—I want to be with her friends..."

... once again, everyone looked at her innocent pure smile in silence...

"Well—ahem, you are more than welcome to join us whenever you'd like, Cecelia." Kaeu said, "We'll be here for when you enroll here."

"Th—thank you, Kaeu!" Once again she beamed her killer smile.

I turn to Kristiea, "I don't look like that when I smile, do I?"

"No." Kristiea shook her head, "Though it's something simir; just not this pure and radiant." Well, at least I didn't look like... look this open. I didn't have any problems with Cecelia looking like this, but I didn't want people to see my expressions so clearly like this.

At the very least, I myself couldn't accept looking like that...

We had to return the visitor tag to the front office, so with permission I left afternoon homeroom early to escort Cecelia to the office. After we dropped off Cecelia's visitor tag, we left school together.

"How was visiting my school, Cecelia?" I asked as we walked to the train station.

"I liked it." She replied, clearly in a good mood. "Um—..." I simply let out a quiet smile, letting her know I would accept whatever she said, "... thank you for letting me go to your school today..."

"Of course - and you're welcome. It was something I decided to do with you being on break, and honestly..." Seeing her smile and seeing her make the occasional happy-skip, "Just knowing you enjoyed yourself here is the most I could ask for." Hearing my words, she let out her radiant smile. Honestly - what a kid she is; seeing such a smile I can't help but smile alongside her as well.

"... thank you, Alicia..." Seeing that smile with her quiet, sincere words - that was all I could ask for, as Cecelia's older sister.
