The system flared as the screen shared information with Jazmel. He noticed he wasn’t the only one to get the quest. But he couldn’t see any other’s screens. So he simply closed his and they made their way across the drawbridge and towards the city.
The guards were titans of men, big and muscular. Both wore plate armour and leather to cover their entire frames. They both reminded Jazmel of Gelth in size and width, but they clearly were titans. As Jazmel led his party and Baek across the drawbridge. The blocked his path, large great axes crossed.
“State your business and reason for coming to titania.” One of them stated.
“Are none allowed in the city?” Jazmel asked, curious and calm.
“All who come to the city for the first time must declare the reason for their visit.” the other one explained and Jazmel nodded.
“I have come to gain the audience of the lightning lord.” The guards shuffled at the mention of their king, Jazmel noticed that. Maybe the title was something only known to his closest.
“Few learn that name, even fewer gain the audience of the king.” One of the guard responded and Jazmel shrugged.
“How do I go about meeting the king?” he asked.
“Only the winner of the competition is allowed to meet the king.”
“Which competition?” Jazmel asked.
“The rise of the titan, a tournament, whoever wins gains the favour of the king and a chance to ask for one wish.” The guard said.
“I am here to enter the competition then.” Jazmel said with a smile, one of the guards smirked and beckoned at Jazmel.
“You are too small to fight titans, go and grow some hair in your special places before you come back!” he sneered at Jazmel and before he could respond, Baek stepped forward.
“My young master has answered all your questions and presented his honest request before you. Before we fall into a place of ill dispute. Allow us entry, or I will be forced to force through.” Baek said, voice closed and composed. But he wasn’t hiding his aura, his mastery of his Mana showed he was master tier.

“Yes, of course.” The guards stopped barring the way and backed off. Clearly strength and power were the advantage here.
They entered the city and to Jazmel’s abject surprise it was a clean and very hospitable. Humans, people, and titans lived well in the city. The streets were clean, the shops, stores and houses were well built. It made Jazmel really curious about the king.
“Alright lets split up. You guys find us somewhere to stay, we will go and find out to join the competition.” Jazmel explained and the others nodded, but before they could part, Katie stopped them.
“Well wait a moment, are you the only one competing? Shouldn’t we all try our luck?” she said, a small smile forming on her lips.
“Well, do you all want to compete?” Jazmel asked and the others seemed to be motivated.
“Oh you want to challenge me? Or each other.” Jazmel realised and Bannerman flashed a smile whereas Tera Nema simply folded her arms.
“Well I have a quest to gain the favour of the king. But I mean we can all join it and try to get to the final. Baek what do you think.” He asked his ever-present mentor.
“Let’s make it interesting. I will give the winner of you all, whoever goes the furthest. I will gift you a master tier item of your choosing from my own items.” Baek offered, his face straight but his eyes dancing with thrill.
“Sign us all up!” Katie said and Jazmel nodded, suddenly itching to spar with his friends. In truth they rarely sparred, as they were always helping the weaker members of the faction. But now was a good chance to face one another.
After they agreed on that, they split up. Katie, Bannerman, and Tera Nema going to find an inn for them to all stay at. While Jazmel, Sadé and Baek headed into the city to find the tourney. Baek motioned to the city centre where a great structure had been erected.
“It’s a colosseum!” Jazmel shouted and the others looked at him. He had read about it in the history of earth, something he had learned in school and now he was likely to have the chance of fighting in one.
They walked through the city, passing many people who were clearly on their way to the tourney; some were fans and surely for the audience. But others were here to test their skills.
Jazmel and Baek walked at the forefront, while Sadé followed behind. Jazmel was consciously aware of her, but when he looked back he could see her sightseeing, enjoying the city and when she caught his glance she simply smiled at him.
They reached the entrance, and an aide beckoned for them to go to the right, where the contenders would be.
“Do you want to partake?” Jazmel turned and asked Sadé, and she scrutinised him with an interesting look.
“Why do you not think I will be able to go far?” she asked, he shook his head furiously. But she started laughing at him and he scowled.
“I am putting everyone in, I hope whoever gets any of you, surrenders. I feel sorry for them already.” He said and she laughed before patting him gently on the back.
The aide who was serving talismans out, beckoned Jazmel forward.
“would you like to join the tournament of the titan?” she asked and Jazmel nodded.
“How does it work though? Is it till death or injury?” he asked, and the aide nodded, understanding his question.
“the Colosseum is warded once you have been entered as a contender. It will allow you to fight as a normal. But the condition is your health points will be swapped with colosseum points. So when they hit zero you will be removed from the stage and can no longer compete in this tourney. You cannot die in real life while a contender. But you can only die once as a contender, after that you will be removed.” She explained and Jazmel smiled, it was a good chance to let loose.
“So how many can I sign up and what is the reward?” he asked, curious.
“As many as you want, but the tourney is costs ten white gold coins per entry. The reward varies, the colosseum acts as a server for the system you see, so it will offer something from what the system provides it. all I can say, is do your best and go as far as you can.” She explained. Jazmel smiled and signed their names the woman accepted his white gold coins and smiled as she stamped the page with a big stamp knoll.

“the others have found an inn.” Sadé said and Jazmel saw the paper swan in her hand. She smiled sweetly at him, he put his arm around her shoulders and kissed her head. he handed her, her talisman and she let her ring move it for safe keeping.
