“No way, are you kidding me? Nakamura took over Shinji’s body? What do you mean Neila is dead”?
A single bead of sweat dropped down Yuki’s face.
“Hold on mom, explain everything slowly to me”.
Athena sighed as she twiddled her fingers wondering on what she could do.
“The moment Nakamura got his body, he immediately challenged Erebus, at least we don’t have to deal with both of them at once”.
Yuki wiped the sweat off her forehead.
“We have the gods on our side don’t we”?
Athena held her chin.
“I-I’m not sure that they would even follow our instructions”.
Tears slowly dripped down her cheek.
“Neila isn’t dead is he? Khaos is inside him, he’ll come back, won’t he”?
“And for that, he needs an absurd amount of Khaos’s energy to do that”.
Yuki clenched her fist, as her teeth gritted.
“Don’t you care that he died”?
“You think I don’t? But we can’t afford to do this right now, you know how much destruction the two of them could cause”?
Athena stared down at the concrete floor.
“But this could be advantageous for us”.
Athena took out her phone as she began to call an unknown number.
“Asami, call the prime ministers of Japan and ask him to evacuate everyone in the country! Assemble small teams that we can rotate in our out to fight against either Nakamura or Erebus if one of them wins”.
Yuki stood up as she wandered around the room, opening the door as she walked up towards Neila’s corpse.
Her cheeks began to fluster as she grabbed his cold hand, trying her best to hold onto her tears.
“I-I don’t know what to say to you, Neila”.
Her thumb pressed onto his wrist, trying to feel his heartbeat but it was null, there wasn’t the slightest move from his body.
Neila’s eyes were wide open, staring at the buzzing lights.
Yuki softly put her hand on his eyelids as she closed his eyes and smiled softly.
The bright light above her began to buzz.

“I hate this, Neila, I don’t know what to do without you now, Nakamura, he took auntie and you from me”.
Yuki twiddled her thumbs as she stared at Neila’s corpse, a hole straight through his chest, crimson red blood dried out and his mouth gaping wide open.
Athena walked behind Yuki as she placed a hand on her shoulder.
“Yuki, you okay”?
“Yeah mom, I’m fine”.
Yuki kept staring blankly at his body.
“Human life is so fleeting, how many has it been that he has died now? Usually Kronos would revive him but he’s not inside Neila anymore”.
Athena sat beside Yuki as she put her arm around her.
Yuki’s tears began to pour down her cheeks as she laid her head on Athena’s shoulders.
Neila’s cold hands crackled with a black electricity.
Yuki’s eyes widened at the sound and sight of the electricity.
“W-what? The hell”?
Athena slowly began to smile at the sight.
“He’s, he’s still alive”.
Nakamura sat in a pool of filled to the brim with wine and women surrounding him like flies.
Ananke walked up behind him, with a fairly posh maid dress and her ginger hair pulled up into a ponytail.
“Nakamura, are you sure you can beat Erebus? We won’t be able to help you, we don’t want to get dragged into your battle”.
Dionysus, the god of wine dipped his fingers into the pool, filling it with even more wine.
His blonde hair shining in the sunlight.’
“If you die, don’t blame us, we will only get in your way when you two fight”.
Nakamura put one of his arms around a girl as she crawled up to him.
“I can handle Erebus by myself, this will be easy”.
Poseidon sat in a corner on a beautifully decorated white chair, he crossed his legs and took a sip of his tea as his eyes stared into Nakamura.
“How about Kronos? How will you deal with him after you fight against Erebus”?
Nakamura looked back, swirling his glass of wine as he grinned softly.
“Him? I met him before, when I was in a weaker body but he’s nothing, I can deal with him after I kill Erebus, I have to deal with the more difficult ones first”.
“How awfully foolish of you, that will surely lead to your downfall”.
Ananke leaned against the desk next to Poseidon as her eyes glowed a bright blue.
“Your fate is clouded with misfortune”.
Nakamura raised an eyebrow as he smiled.
“Your fate readings must be wrong, because I am above even fate itself, a rival to Khaos”.
“Whatever you say”.
Ananke slightly bowed her head as she backed off and leaned against the white pillars.
“Your choices will lead to whatever future you desire, I’d rather not get into any more trouble than I already am in”.
Poseidon nodded.
“There is a difference between confidence and arrogance, even I believe my limits. Chronos easily beat the strongest of us, Zeus yet Erebus is far stronger, him I cannot even hope to beat”.
Dionysus waved his legs back and forth as he looked at Nakamura with an emotionless expression.
“We are Gods, just like humans we are living organisms that can’t die but it doesn’t mean we won’t be in a world of pain”.
Nakamura slowly sipped on his glass of wine.
“Do whatever you guys want to, you all have already proven your use, you know what? Why don’t you all deal with the rest of Athena’s puppets”.
Ananke stretched her arms, cracking her knuckles.
“Kronos and my oldest brother Phanes will especially be a pain in the ass”.
Poseidon drank away all his tea as the cup in his hand shattered as it hit the floor.
“I will throw shit all over your grave afterwards, when you die from his hands”.
Nakamura stood up from the pool of wine, dark purple wine dripping from every single part of his body.
“Be glad I haven’t killed you for disrespecting me yet”.
With one step of his foot, the earth beneath him shook.
“A man who gains more power and falls to his own greed, there have been more stories than I can count”.
Ananke whispered under her breath.
“What”?
Nakamura’s neck twisted, looking at Ananke.
“Nothing, I was just talking to myself”.
Ananke slipped through the cracks in the door as she waved goodbye.
She walked along the red carpet as the sun shone through the windows.
“His hubris, his arrogance, it amuses me”.
“Oops”.
She softly pushed a flowered vase from a nearby table as it shattered and hit the floor, turning into small and sharp segments.
Ananke’s finger began to bleed from the sharp vase piece.
“Those who choose to prevent their fate go on the path to encounter it, those who are foolish enough to ignore fate encounter worse”.
She licked the blood off her finger.
Poseidon came behind her, he looked up from beneath his eyebrows.
“Ananke, what are you planning to do”?
“I’m not going to do anything”.
She crossed his arms.
“At least nothing too drastic”.
She began to fade in the red curtain in the background, as she completely disappeared.
Athena sat down by herself in front of a chalkboard as she began to write intensively, her mind wandering as her feet tapped on the ground.
“I wonder”.
Her finger pressed against her cheek.
The door immediately bursted open as Ananke began to walk towards Athena, with a swipe of her hands, her maid dress turned into a suit with black pants.
“Hey Athena”.
Athena calmly looked back at her, her eyes unflinching.
“Ananke, why are you here? Didn’t you help Nakamura steal Shinji’s body”.
“That was the only future that had a preferable outcome, I’m here now to provide my services to you”.
Ananke stared daggers into Athena.
“But you knew that already didn’t you”?
