Chapter 21- Fruit Tart

There was a knock on my door

  I was tired and sleepy

  “Who is it”?

“Hi it’s been a while, have you gotten better?

  A familiar face, Lucy

“How did you even get my address”?

“Oh you didn’t know I was your neighbor? I live right beside you”.

Her face was rather happy looking

She was trying to cheer me up

“Since when was that the case”?

“It has always been the case, whatever let’s go somewhere, I wanna treat you to something”.

She grabbed my hand and dragged me into the city

  It was crowded

The city of Tokyo is the most densely populated city in the world

We were in Shinjuku, a part of Tokyo

There were tons of people walking in the streets

It was like watching a flock of pigeons migrating to a different side of the Earth

Cars flooded the city, shining their lights against every corner

On the extremely large buildings were ads that displayed all kinds of products

  She held my hand

  It’s warm and feels nice

“Neila, there’s this café I really like, let’s go there”.

Even within the vibrant city, Lucy dragged me into a small corner of the city

A small café where barely anyone goes to

  Nostalgia

There was a lawn in the front with small chairs and tables

A small building where you could order food from

  “We’re here”.

  “There’s barely anyone here”.

“This is an underrated café, just taste the food here and you’ll fall in love with it”.

We sat down on on of the tables

It was decorated with a small flower pot

“What can I get for you two today”?

“We would like to have a fruit tart”.

Lucy looked right into my eyes

I almost forgot she looked like a demon

For once she looked like a happy girl

  “Here’s your fruit tart”.

She tried to feed me with her spoon

  “Open wide”.

It tasted fine, maybe too sweet for my tastes

But for some reason it filled me with so much dopamine

  “It tastes really good”.

”Neila, I invited you after all, I’ll pay for it myself”.

She tried her best to cheer me up

We explored many different parts of Tokyo

She held my hand, it was warm and soft

”Hey Neila, we’re already here anyways why don’t we just explore the rest of Shinjuku”.

She dragged me into a crowded shopping mall and we sat down at an ice cream shop

”I’ve never tried it, let’s both taste it together, I would like to have a vanilla ice cream sundae please”.

As the waiter put it down as Lucy spoonfed me the ice cream like I was a child

”You know I’m older than you right”?

”Yea of course I know that”.

  She kept spoon feeding me

I took out my wallet and paid for it myself

People started going back home as it became darker

As the sun fell, we had then parted ways

  “Thank you for this date”.

  Date?

Was this really a date, was I really that dense

“No, thanks for trying to cheer me up”.

Nagumo woke up a couple days later

  His eyes were dead

Nagumo and Elsa had only been together for 2 days but they connected so much like they were meant to be together yet she was stripped away from him
