Chapter 188- God Of Beginnings

  [My head, it hurts]

Neila’s damaged brain began to rapidly heal, as if it were never even damaged before.

Electricity crackled form his fingertips as sparks ran through Neila’s body.

Time began to slow down but not completely stop, Jaclyn’s movements became the same speed as Neila himself.

A translucent barrier that slows everything to move at the same speed except light.

Jaclyn’s eyes widened as fire crackled from Neila’s fingers, the sky began to be filled with smoke as Neila began to rapidly sweat from the heat.

The particles within the air rapidly sped up, forming fire from the combustion of air completely coating his hands like a glove, time was repeatedly rewinded upon his hands in five second intervals, he felt his hands peeling off yet he gritted his teeth and lived through the pain.

Neila dashed towards her, his flaming fists getting ever closer towards her face.

Jaclyn barely dodged, her cheek was slightly scorched from the heat.

  “Are you kidding me”?

The flames collected at Neila’s fingertip, staring directly into Jaclyn as it shot out like a missile, shooting a hole through her head.

Jaclyn’s eyes rolled into the back of her head as she dropped to the floor, the dimension around them began to crack.

The sky began to fade as bright lights began to fill Neila’s eyes, his vision started to blur immediately.

Yuki’s eyes began to bleed as she was barely holding on, transferring all of Neila’s Khaos energy into Hestia’s ultimate.

  “It hurts”.

  “You okay”?

Asami came up from behind her, her wooden summons coming up in front of Yuki placing their hands on Yuki and healing her injuries as green light glowed from their fingertips.

Athena stared at the fight in front of her.

“He might not be the smartest but he sure is creative on how he uses Kronos’s powers”.

  Yuki raised an eyebrow.

“How does stopping time make you create flames”?

“It’s not necessarily that he’s stopping time, Kronos doesn’t have that ability, he’s slowing down time to a point where everything seems still. By slowing down time around the selected object, he can effectively speed it up”.

Yuki squinted her eyes in disbelief

“Mom, that doesn’t answer my question”.

“He’s increasing the speed of collisions rapidly, increasing friction and combusting the oxygen in the air, using the thin layer of fat on his hand as a combustible material”.

The flames extinguished on Neila’s hands, his fingers were charred from the heat, sweat poured down from his head. Neila’s fingers began to twitch.

“Jaclyn just stay down”. Neila stared at the collapsed woman in front of him.

  “Time, turn back for me”.

His arms immediately healed back as he started to waddle towards Jaclyn.

Jaclyn immediately stood up, even with a hole in her head, she spat out blood as the hole in her head regenerated.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

“What is that, a barrier that slows down my movements”?

She wiped away the blood on her chin.

“As long as I don’t get in the range of the barrier then you won’t be able to see me”.

Jaclyn immediately jumped backwards, pulling back the string of her golden bow.

“Come on Neila, I know you can try harder”.

He stared at the golden arrow in front of him as his eyes rolled into the back of his head, his knees collapsed and dropped to the floor from the fatigue.

“Neila! Wakey wakey, or I’m drawing on your face”.

Neila barely managed to open his eyes, lights flickered as he managed to make up the image of two little green beads.

Yuki’s eyes began was standing before him staring at Neila’s face with a soft look.

“You really did overwork yourself pretty hard didn’t you”?

Neila’s body felt like it was going to fall apart, his voice was raspy like something was stuck in his throat.

Golden rays of light shone from between his fingers.

  “Yuki, is it morning already”?

  “Time for school”.

Neila’s eyes turned into slits piercing into Yuki’s stare.

“Going to school in this environment? And what makes you so sure that school even exists from all of the destruction”?

“Hmm”. Yuki held her chin as she stared up at the ceiling. “I mean, we can hope, isn’t that what we’ve been doing all this time? School’s the only real place I can run away from the Gods. I wonder how Iris is doing anyways”.

Her footsteps echoed as Athena calmly entered the room with sunglasses and a tropical coat on her with a glass of fruit punch in her hand.

“Oh you’re awake now”. She tried to drink from the colorful pipe but she missed, the pipe swinging away from her face.

“We found out something by the way, Erebus has a pattern on where he moves. He’s moving to wherever Khaos’s energy is strongest, it’s like he can detect it somehow”.

Neila adjusted his blank white shirt. “I feel him, I feel Erebus’s aura, it’s like a magnet pulling me towards him”.

“Now isn’t that interesting”? Athena commented.

“Khaos’s fragments want to be whole again, I guess that’s their way of doing so, how accurate is your pinpoint of Erebus”?

Neila responded with a confident stare.

“Pretty accurately, Erebus’s Khaos energy is pretty dense, I can make out the current vicinity where’s he’s inside”.

“How come he can’t detect you”?

Yuki stood up and took up her bag.

“Probably me, I’ve been transporting his energy to Hestia’s dimension after all”.

“Yuki, you’re going to school”? Athena commented. “In this environment? And what makes you so sure that school even exists from all of the destruction”?

  Yuki facepalmed.

  “You’re like a spitting image”.

  “What”?

  “Nothing mom”.

  Athena calmly waved to Neila

“Get ready Neila, in a few days we’ll have another operation to raid a God infested city”.

The school looked completely fine, the walls were pearly white and the gates were rusted a little bit. The windows slightly cracked, but the environment around was a complete mess, completely shattered and gone.

  “What’d I tell you”?

Yuki kicked the steel doors open with both hands in the pockets of her school skirt.

“This skirt is way too short for me, you can almost see my ass, it’s like the designers were pedophiles”.

  “I-I could not care less”.

“Come on Neila, you’re hurting my fweelings”.

Neila adjusted his jacket as he walked through the school door, the smell of dog shit filled his nose from the smell of shoes.

“I don’t want to even come here”.

“Hello Neila, I haven’t seen you in quite a pinch”.

Neila’s eyes slightly widened at the change in atmosphere.

His hands slightly shook from the pressure the man behind him exuded.

The man standing behind him was something else, he had no body temperature, no sign of breathing and no sound coming from him at all.

It was as if he didn’t exist and that single fact terrified Neila to his core, that level of control was something only Shinji could do.

[And there was someone like him within the school?]

“Seems like Kronos left your body, isn’t that a shame”?

Neila immediately turned around and jumped backwards, putting his back to a wall.

  Yuki bursted through the door.

  Neila immediately yelled out.

  “Move”!!

  “What”.

Yuki calmly stared at him with a blank expression.

The man placed his hand on Neila’s shoulder and calmly stared into him.

“Calm down, I won’t do anything to you, I wish to stop Erebus as well, he wishes to change the very universe itself, I can’t just let him change whatever he wishes”.

  “Who are you”.

Neila grit his teeth as he immediately jumped between Yuki and the man.

“What the hell are you doing Neila”.

The man with the black hair spoke in a soft voice.

  “I’m Kuro”.

“Yuki, he’s not human, I feel it, every inch of me is screaming that he’s dangerous”.

“He’s just a student, what are you on Neila”?

Yuki saw him, sweat poured down his arms as his eyes visibly widened, shaking visibly.

“Who are is this guy? I’ve never even seen you this scared even with Gods”.

  “This guy’s something else”.

Kuro’s dark eyes glowed a bright baby blue under the bright school light.

“You’re overreacting a little bit don’t you think so, Neila”?

“I have no clue on how you know my name, you clearly aren’t human so are you a primordial”?

Neila’s voice was shaking, his entire body asked him to run as fast as possible but he stood there right in front of him.

“I’m what you humans call, Phanes, the God of Beginnings”.

His eyes glowed a godly blue.

Yuki began to slowly shake her head.

“I-I’ve never heard of you at all, are you supposed to be someone important”?

“U-uh, I-I, hmm”. The God had thirteen different expressions on his face, each expressing another feeling of surprise. “I’m appalled that you would even say that”.

“Damn that’s crazy, are you an unknown God”?

The God stumbled backwards at her words as sweat poured down his head.

“I-I, I am a Primordial, w-what do you mean by that”!?

“I have no clue who you are”.

Neila grabbed Yuki’s shoulder as he dragged her away from him.

“Come on let’s go, I’m not sure that he’s going to take that well”.

The God collapsed to the floor, sweat pouring down.

“Y-You should be glad, I’m the only reason your precious school isn’t completely obliterated”. His fingers dug into the scalp of his head.

“You should be glad that I’m still here, protecting your precious lives as humans”!

The God stared up, hoping for their faces but they disappeared, staring into the crowd of students standing above him with their phones pointed towards him.

“Look at this loser, there’s something wrong in his head”.

“How much you wanna bet he’s on crack”?

The God’s eyes widened as he stared at the crowd of students standing above him.

“I-I do not deserve this kind of treatment”!
