The sun rises.
The title of the stream changes once more.
Day 3
…
On the official Pokemon League Forum site. Anonymous posters come together to share interests in a wide variety of different topics.
Normally, instead of being about the next championships, or that one creepy guy who keeps posting his life sized Gardevior plush, instead it's about a strange phenomenon on PokeTwitch.
Joshua Abrams.
First discovered by gym leader and internet personality IonoZone, it quickly began garnering attention due to its strangeness and its horrifying content.
Then the officials started noticing it, the official Pokemon League noticed the rge amount of attention on this odd channel. At its discovery, an investigation was started regarding the location and identity of Joshua Abrams.
Joshua Abrams, seemingly early 20's. Between 5'10 and 6’0 tall, bck hair and yellow eyes.
No records have been found tied to his name, but his accent is reminiscent of Unovan, so the UCPD has looked into records of any schools or businesses to see if there was any trace of the man.
They found nothing.
His possible location has even less leads.
The Pokecenter and the presence of “Jophiel” his Garian Ponyta hinted at the idea of an abandoned town somewhere in Gar, but the Garian officials reported nowhere in their region do they have any areas shown in the livestream.
As more details, and more strange creatures appeared, confusion and fear began to grow exponentially in the audience.
Monsters.
Not Pokemon.
Actual monsters.
The horror industry and culture for residents of the Pokemon world is extremely underdeveloped, where the absolute top ranking horror content is almost childlike (white sheet ghosts, big teeth, loud noises, etc).
So when exposed to the horrors of the livestream, to say they were traumatized would be an understatement.
PokeTwitch had been asked to take it down by the parents of children who were watching, but despite numerous attempts the best they could do was suspend chat functions for a few hours, and even that stopped working after the first time.
Iono herself, despite the clear contrast between her content and Joshua's, holds her stance on her support and concern for the mysterious man.
Despite the harrowing things shown on stream, it's viewerbase continued to grow. The “taboo” of it became something the residents of the Pokemon world had never experienced before. It was odd, raw, and exciting.
This coupled with Joshua’s personality, his praiseworthy mental resilience and rather refreshing attitude (ignoring the chat), he's begun to not only garner an audience- but a fanbase.
Reaction videos, fanart, and even a small amount of cospy. 2 days after the start of the livestream and he's accidentally gathered all of this.
Jophiel has become a bit of an icon, fanart depicting her as a regal queen and a raging warmonger. The image of her with her shovel was striking. A typically passive and calm Pokemon being rather violent became somewhat of a meme online.
Speaking of memes, Joshua's running joke about a horse's color defining their personality became so well known that the majority of people watching the stream py along with it.
With the inclusion of a new character, Gabriel, the strange but adorable hazmat pony of unknown origin, the lingo of the chat began to develop.
White Horse and Pink Horse became just as well known as their names. While Joshua just has the shared title of “the poor guy”.
The stream is rather grim, but in contrast the chat is rather pyful and casual. Some of them are trying to keep the mood up to help Joshua, while others just py along.
Joshua, who doesn't know about the horde of fanart being made about him, and only knows that he's somewhat well known in the Pokemon world, is spared of the knowledge of his growing fanbase.
The Aether Foundation gave no comment.
The Champion gave no comment.
…
Joshua wouldn't call himself a morning person.
He always struggled with getting up early, a hate stemming even from as far back as middle school.
But he woke up surprisingly easily today.
Sure, the crafted bed is really comfortable, but he's one of those people that takes a while until they get comfortable enough sleeping on something other than their own bed.
He found himself unable to go back to sleep, retively early today.
Pokenav time check.
5:02AM
Yup, early as shit.
[VIEWERS: 1,088]
Must be early for those guys too.
There's still a few nightowls though who really shouldn't be up right now.
[Yooooo he's awake]
[Morning Josh]
[Good morning!]
[(-.-)Zzz????]
[(((??;) hoh he's awake!]
[(゜ー゜)(。_。) does he know the stream is still on when he's asleep?]
Yes, he knew that since the first day.
Unfortunately, it spares little in terms of privacy. Hopefully he doesn't have to shit in front of the entire Pokemon world.
Heh, actually, that'd be pretty funny.
White and Pink Horse are still asleep. Jophiel is sleeping near his head, curled up slightly and stealing some of his pillow with her fatass snout (okay that's not true her snout is fine). Maybe she's keeping her horn close to his head? That seems like something she would do.
Gabriel is gone, so it's-
Wait what?
Joshua sits up and looks at the now unworn yellow hazmat suit lying at the foot of his bed.
Looking around the cobblestone bunker, he sees a distinct ck of pink.
Where's Gabriel?
His heart skips a beat as he quickly checks the entrance in fear she left, but then he's left in confusion as both the entrance and the airvent are untouched.
[Where Ponk?]
[Porse left?]
[???]
“Gabriel?” He whispers into the air.
Is she under the bed?
Being careful not to wake the sleeping mare, he slowly shifts to the side and leans over the bed.
He looks under the bed. Some childish part of him reminds him of the monsters that allegedly live here, it's concerning how he didn't immediately dismiss it.
Nothing.
Then he hears a hissing. A slight, long hiss like the swirling of air through a narrow passage.
He looks up, it's coming from the suit.
Something inside it glows, he can't see what, but through the gss dome headpiece he can see a strangely familiar purple light shine dimly inside.
Then the suit moves.
A thick, purple gas swirls in the headpiece, it shines like it's been covered in glitter, but the shines are almost ethereal like small bursts of fire.
The “bag” like tail segment fills out, along with the fnk and back half of the suit. The gas fills out the suit equally, like it's simply being worn by someone.
Then the head forms, the fluid-gas swirls on itself and its color changes, the form changes, shapes become more defined, solid-looking.
A familiar pink face greets him, giving a big yawn as Gabriel stretches her hooves.
Her eyes open, meeting his as her usual high-energy friendly smile spreads on her face.
“Good Morning Mr. Joshua!”
“What the fuck”
