  Now, on to my story stuffs. TL;DR at the bottom.

  So, I know my last update was a little confusing to understand, which makes sense. I made it while in a bit of a panic and it was out of a need to distance myself and reset my mental, if you know what I mean.

  I have since reset, resettled, and centered my schedule much better. Below are the final updates for both my stories. I will be posting this exact same update on both Phoenix and Magus so that any of you wonderful readers can be sure to get the same update.

  RISE OF THE PHOENIX

  Phoenix is still on indefinite hiatus until I can get the rewrite going. I have started, but it is slow going and I cannot confidently give y'all an ETA to release. I haven't forgotten it and I don't plan on dropping it, it's just gonna take awhile.

  My main deal with Phoenix is that it's the first story I've written since I was in highschool (No, we will not talk about my cringe stories from 2013) and as such I ended up having issues arise from not having a solid foundation for the story. I feel like it can be so much better both in terms of character personality and story points.

  A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

  In case y'all were wondering, I will likely not remove or edit any of the update chapters I posted on Phoenix. I rather think they are a good way for me to look back and see how far I've come...New chapters will be on a new story anyway.

  MAGUS MORTIS

  Magus is currently still being written. It began to suffer from much of the same issues as Phoenix, but I managed to catch myself before getting too far and, as such, I don't have a need to rewrite what is already there.

  I have gotten a few more chapters done for Magus since I've decided to primarily focus on continuing this, rather than primarily focus on Phoenix, more on that later.

  I have been really trying to give the characters in Magus more personality than I managed to do in Phoenix. This particularly has proven more difficult than I initially thought, but in a good way since it pushes me to be better and to describe things in ways that I wouldn't have thought to do before.

  But there is light! I have three chapters ready to go and will start releasing them once a week, so long as they are ready. When I run out of ready chapters, I will release them as I finish them.

  The reason I've decided to focus on continuing Magus rather than rewriting Phoenix has a couple reasons.

  First and foremost is that I don't want to start releasing the new Phoenix chapters until I have a decent backlog (~10 chapters) which leads me into my second point.

  I enjoy the community involvement I get from releasing chapters. Not only is it extremely enjoyable to be able to interact with y'all in regards to something I've created, but it helps me keep on the pulse of how I'm doing. If I just write in a vacuum without releasing then I fear that I'll burn myself out and I'll start building some bad habits without realizing.

  TL;DR:

  Phoenix is still on hiatus but being worked on slowly.

  Magus is actively being written and chapters will come out as they become ready. No set schedule.
