"A beginner Adamantite level!?" "And she is supposed to be a slave!?" "I know, right? Isn't he supposed to be her servant!?" A lot of comments like that rapidly fire behind us while the guild lady tries to check all of the stats again, just coming to the same conclusion over and over, destroying card after card.
"Well, the readings don't let me mark you anything below Adamantite, so well done!" The guild lady congratulates me as she hands me over another adventurer card with all my recorded stats, finally allowing me to see how strong.... eh!? What the fuck!? Why are my stats so bad!?

Sure, I guess I have an incredibly high potential, but my power is an E!? I thought for sure I would be at least an A or something based on their reactions. I wonder if it's even me that the analysis rock scanned or if it scanned the curse that the goddess put on me.
If the analysis rock scanned the power of the curse and it granted me an Adamantite level because of how powerful the anti-magical barrier is, then it's good for me in a way. At least now I know it's a powerful barrier, so strong it flung me into the highest adventurer rank possible; damn, and that's just a curse from a goddess!
Damn! How strong is that goddess!? I don't even think she spends that much energy on my curse, and yet it's so powerful it's considered the strongest an adventurer will ever be, and she does it without even thinking about it or feeling weak!? Oh, man! Going against the goddess might not be a smart move if she is that uber-strong.
If this is the power she is willing to throw away for free without even feeling it, I wonder how much damage and destruction she could do if she got furious. I don't think she would have to snap her fingers to erase this world or do whatever she wants, which makes it so much scarier.
Now, I have to keep entertaining her before she erases me like the little particle of dust I am to her. As to what Martigan is doing, he is still in shock, just pulling me outside the guild while everyone looks at him like he is a piece of trash, which I might as well be.
"Hey there! You want to join our team!?" "Don't join them! Join us! We will carry your stuff and rub your feet at the end of the day!" Just as expected of a town filled with a bunch of beginner adventurers, a bunch of group leaders, and other people soon just corner Martigan in the middle of the walk outside so they can start harassing me.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"Leave her alone! She is on my team already!" Martigan tries his damn best to keep the people from harassing me and waste even more of his time by tugging on the collar until someone just cuts it off. "Please, join us! We are still missing a Damage dealer in our party!" "No! JOIN US! We can get you some good armor right now!"
"What the hell!?" Martigan says as the cut collar quickly digs into my neck and starts choking me to death. "Oh fuck!" Half of the people don't even notice I am choking to death and just keep throwing offers around as I desperately try to get my fingers between the collar and my skin, but the thing just keeps digging into me, slowly cutting into my skin.
"UGGGH! G-GRA-GRA-DE! FIR-ST!" My body quickly starts to steam again, finally pushing people back a little bit as I try to use the limited time of First Grade to try and break the choker necklace, and thankfully, it works. Oh man, I talk about a dumb way to go out, uh? Not even because of something I did!
Wait a second, without the collar, Martigan has zero control over me; wait a second, I just broke the collar, and I have lots of people who want me on their team! Who the hell says this was a mistake!? This is the best thing that could've happened! I have shot to get rid of Martigan!
"No! DON'T YOU DARE!" Martigan looks at me, and I look at him with a massive grin as I start seeing how there are a couple of other Aquamarine people in the guild as well, just like him. I could destroy him or even kill him if I were really evil, but I suppose getting away from him would do. I start hearing people's offers while Martigan tries to get to me.
"Come here, you little shit!" Martigan finally makes his way to me, violently grabbing my arm, which I take perfect advantage of by suddenly directing everyone's attention to him. "Taking advantage of me because I took a nap is such a low move, trying to blackmail a star like me; how dare you?"
Martigan looks at me for a few seconds and then at everyone near me, finally letting go of my arm. Almost everyone suddenly turns on the poor guy and begins pushin' him back away from me as his head almost pops a vein out, probably regretting his course of action, which I didn't expect to be so good for me. I mean, I thought I would start as a Green-level adventurer, too!
"You sick bastard! You tried to enslave her by taking advantage of them being asleep!?" "You coward!" "Get out of here, you honorless prick!" In the end, poor Martigan just accepts his fate and runs out of the guild, avoiding fights with basically the entire place.
Well then! It looks like I finally have some freedom! Once again, I have nobody on my neck telling me what to do or how to act! Now, with the support of the adventurer guild, I even have more resources than I could ever dream of to get away from the Empire! This is perfect! It's almost a little too perfect!
OH SHIT! Now I wonder what the goddess is going to do to jinx this one as she always does....
