The day ahead! Turned out to be quite b, actually. Rather than more bat training, they spent a few hours with chores. Cutting firewood, transp it to pces in the camp that were needed, helping out on the farm tents - something that was amazing for Kiko to see, though routine for Ele. Apparently Ele's daily routine was to do an hour or two of bat training just before the meal, so that the st had maximal time to settle. It was actually...a really good idea. Kiko would have unched right into it and then hurled when she caught a staff i. Which would have been dumb.
Half an hour of this "break" ent in silent introspective meditation. Apparently, tring one's self and being in tuh the universe helped with using Magic, so Kiko gave it a try. Mostly, she just felt like it was half an hour of sitting on the ground in silence, but that wasirely a bad thing.
Eventually, manual bour was done and Kiko was back to what she desired! Actually wanting to have her ass kicked by Ele was kind of a little unbanced, mentally, but every time she mao deflect or otherwise dodge the ining staff, it made her feel really happy. Aing to show her stamina orack was always a moment to feel proud about. Not that the Kitsunes were slouches at all, but they had predisposed thoughts about the City Dwellers that were getting challenged with Kiko keeping pace with them through the day.
Of course, stepping out of the ring, bruised and ag did not help her reputation for fidence, and sitting down with the Fatherborn to geters at the bck eye she ...well, that certainly was a social misstep. After the physical misstep that caused it in the first pce. Though aside from a few light hearted ribbings, the Fatherborn were friendly and unial, always making sure to include Kiko in versation and ehat she could follow what was being said. They were far from exclusively warriors, and much more the physical hand of the camp. Fighting was certainly a part of their job, and the most famous, but they were desigo do anything that required a strong, firm set of hands.
The mention of these brought duties lead the leader - a woman with four tails and a scar running down her face that looked like the hit that caused it barely missed the eye - t up the need for a forestiat. Firewood was running low and crafting wood was looking a little slim as well, so the two would o be restocked. To ensure preparation, the Fatherborn would be running some joint exercises with the Men tomorrow, and then the day after that they would depart to cut down some nearby trees.
Adventure aement was what most signed up for, and so the news was met with etion. Then the well-banced meal of meat, vegetables, and some bread was handed out to the group, and they fell quiet to eat. All except Ele at least, who turo Kiko with a coy grin.
"So, sleeping with me tonight?" she'd ask in a pyful tone. Kiko felt her cheeks flush at the idea. Usually she had no problem with other Kitsunes, but Ele was very forward and explicitly stated i in more than just sharing the cot. Still, not oo be outdone, she'd recover and just give a shrug.
"You've not earhat yet. I am not an easy prize, after all~" Kiko's retort left Ele with a gleam in her eye that implied tommorow, was going to double down ohing.
