hiya fellas !

  been a little busy with work and stuff recently, and the experience of posting a consistent web serial on top of that has been getting to me a little. i think it'd be best, both for the health of me, and the health of meat as a project, if i took a step back indefinitely. i made a similar post on patreon, so ill tell you what i told them here;

  A little sad to have to do this, but I think I've been smelling the blood in the water for a little while now.

  Meat will be going on an indefinite hiatus, now that chapter 3.28 has been finished - the chapter was meant to be a mid-point to springboard off and continue the current arc, but recently I've been finding the mental effort to keep writing this story steadily increasing, and I think it's worth it to drop this project for the sake of my continued writing.

  Meat has been an extremely informative experience, especially in terms of learning how to write a web serial specifically, and the support I've gotten on it throughout the run has been so encouraging to see. I think it's best to stop the series on a high note, rather than try and drag it out, and see the quality of writing suffer because of that.

  There'll be more information on future projects and such once 3.28 actually goes public, but for now I've got a project on the backburner that I had a lot of fun writing, as well as some WIPs and oneshots I can throw up here (that I've been meaning to do anyway to be honest).

  I also wanna say thank you, again, to you four patrons who decided to chip in this early in a hobbyist writer's career. You're all great, and I'd understand anyone who wanted to back out now that the story they came here for isn't going to be completed anytime soon.

  Still, if you're down for a bit of a hard pivot in tone, maybe there's something you'll like.

  and thats about it really. you might not see much from me for a couple months while i try to get back into the swing of writing things, and a lot of the patreon is just gonna be scattered writings and wips, but if any of that's your jam?? you could??? sub anyway????

  i have a couple of half-finished fan projects, some ideas for oneshots, and a much less ambitious original story that won't be posted for some time -- and when it is, it'll likely be entirely prewritten. so. not really any concrete plans, but like.

  i will be back. eventually??

  thank you all for reading meat. it's been a bit of a strange experience, and a very difficult one at times, but the likes and comments i get make it all very rewarding.
