Ch 2

Lashan was sitting behind a desk in the library, surrounded by various books, deeply engrossed in reading.

Karen stood in front of Lashan, smiling and thinking, "Since he found out about my curse, he's been buried in books, doing nothing else. He wants to cure my curse quickly and get rid of me."

Lashan, looking annoyed, glanced up at Karen with his red, frightening eyes and said, "Why are you standing there?"

Karen, feeling uneasy, replied, "Well, I've been here for a week and I'm bored. I came here to see what you're doing."

Lashan said, "You can read the books here; I'll allow you to use them."

Karen's expression turned slightly sour, and he said, "Thanks, but I can't."

Lashan asked, "Why? Don't worry, you won't be cursed."

Karen, feeling uncomfortable, averted his gaze and said, "Well, because I... I can't read them."

Lashan, irritated, sighed and said, "What was your previous master thinking, not even teaching you to read? I just can't understand people."

Karen looked at Lashan in surprise and asked, "What is reading?"

Lashan placed a blank notebook and a pen in front of Karen and said, "Take these and do whatever you want with them, just don't dirty the floors and walls of the house."

Karen looked at the notebook and then at Lashan with curiosity and surprise.

Lashan, irritated, exclaimed, "Don't tell me you don't even know how to draw!"

Karen, surprised, asked, "Drawing? What is that?"

Lashan, growing more annoyed, smirked and thought, "Damn it, I haven't had any blood in days, and seeing this boy makes me angry, and I can't control myself!"

Karen looked at Lashan in surprise and asked, "Is something wrong?"

Suddenly, Lashan stood up and approached Karen with speed.

Karen, shocked and surprised, said, "Did I do something wrong?!"

Suddenly, Lashan grabbed Karen's hand and, with a faint smirk, said, "No, you did nothing wrong; in fact, you're very beautiful and delicious!"

Suddenly, a servant entered the library with a neutral expression and said, "Master, the young lady you requested has arrived and is waiting for you in the forest."

Lashan replied, "Very well, Litho, I'll be ready soon and go to her."

  The servant bowed and left.

Karen took a deep breath and thought, "I was lucky that the servant arrived in time!"

Lashan released Karen, looked at him with a smirk, and said, "You got lucky this time; next time, I won't be so merciful!"

Then, Lashan walked past Karen and left the library to prepare to go to the forest.

Karen turned back, looked at the door, and said, "I have to be more careful. If I'm not cautious, I might become the next victim."

Karen sat curiously behind the railings, looking down at the main door from above. Lashan entered the house with a young woman with brown hair and green eyes. Smiling, Lashan took the young woman's hand and led her to the living room.

The young woman sat across from Lashan in the living room, smiling at him.

Lashan gave a gentle smile and said, "Young lady, I heard you volunteered to come here yourself. Do you have any particular reason for this?"

The young woman smiled and said, "Well, I've heard a lot of rumors about you; people in town talk about a scary monster in the forest who likes young women, and they say that the townsfolk offer a woman as a sacrifice to the monster in exchange for a large sum of money every month."

The young woman crossed her legs and said with a smile, "I decided to win the heart of this monster and tame him, but I didn't know you were a handsome and beautiful man. I'm really surprised."

Lashan smirked and said, "Do all monsters have to be ugly and scary?"

The young woman looked at Lashan with curiosity and said, "What do you mean?"

Lashan stood up and slowly approached the young woman. Suddenly, with blood-red eyes, he looked at the young woman and smirked, saying, "What about the heart of a vampire? Don't you want to win it?"

The young woman was shocked and smiled, saying, "A vampire?"

Lashan continued, "Just one more thing, young lady, I'd love to know the name of a beautiful victim like you."

Karen was passing through the hallway when he heard a loud scream.

Karen smiled in fear and said, "I'd better not interfere at all."

Lashan, placing his hands on the wall to prevent the young woman from escaping, smirked and said, "You hit me really hard; the mark from your slap still hurts!"

The young woman, frightened, looked at Lashan's reddened cheek.

Lashan touched the young woman's lips with his thumb and smirked gently, saying, "You know, Cythia, I accept you as my wife and will marry you. I like fierce and bold women like you; the fiercer and more you struggle, the more I fall in love with you!"

Karen, curious and scared, was walking through the hallway, getting closer to the living room.

Suddenly, the young woman shouted angrily, "How dare you treat me like this?! Don't touch me, filthy monster!"

Karen ran quickly towards the living room, opened the door, and saw the body of the young woman lying on the ground with her neck drenched in blood.

Lashan, standing in front of the window, said, "That woman came here under the pretext of loving me to get close to me and kill me, but she failed and ended up killing herself with pieces of a broken vase."

Lashan turned, looked at Karen, and said sadly, "I tried my best to show her my love and make her fall in love with me so that I could marry her, but she looked at me with hatred and committed suicide."

Karen looked at Lashan's clean clothes and said in surprise, "You're a bloodthirsty vampire, so why didn't you drink her blood?"

Lashan replied, "It's true that I'm a vampire, but the other half of me is a wizard; I can survive without drinking blood."

Karen looked at Lashan in astonishment and said, "You're a wizard?"

Lashan said, "I'm a hybrid wizard-vampire. Although I'm a hybrid, I'm a complete vampire. If you don't keep your distance from me and get too close, I won't be able to control myself and will hurt you."

Karen was shocked and said in surprise, "A wizard-vampire?"

Lashan approached Karen and stood in front of him. Suddenly, with blood-red eyes, he looked at Karen and smirked, saying, "Stupid boy, why didn't you take my warning seriously and come here? It's your fault for not listening to me!"

Suddenly, Lashan grabbed Karen's hand and bit it gently.

Karen's face contorted in pain and burning sensation, and he tightly closed his eyes, then looked at Lashan who was drinking his blood.

Suddenly, Lashan came to his senses and released Karen's hand. Then, looking at Karen with sorrow, he said, "I'm really sorry, I couldn't control myself and hurt you without realizing it!"

Karen said, "It's okay, I told you I'd do anything you want; so I have to keep my promise for you to let me stay here."

Lashan took Karen's injured hand and placed his other hand on the bite mark.

Karen was shocked and said in surprise, "What are you doing?!"

Lashan healed Karen's hand and smiled, saying, "It was my mistake, Karen, never do such a thing for me again. You shouldn't do everything I ask and hurt yourself because of me. I allow you to stay here and live with me as long as you want."

Karen was shocked and said in surprise, "Can I really?"

Lashan smiled and said, "Of course, but I have my conditions."

Karen said excitedly and happily, "I'll do anything you want!"

Lashan sighed and said, "I didn't mean everything."

Karen smiled and said happily, "Just give me orders, I'll do it without any excuses!"

Lashan got annoyed and said, "My order is, you're free to do whatever you like."

Karen said, "But I don't know what to do."

Lashan, irritated, held his forehead and thought, "This won't work, this boy really behaves like a servant; I need to work on him and teach him many things!"

The servant entered Lashan's office and said, "Master, I have buried the young woman's body. If you wish, I can request another woman to be brought for you."

Lashan, looking out the window, turned to the servant and said with a smile, "No, Litho, there's no need for that."

  The servant said, "Yes, master."

  The servant bowed and left.

Lashan smiled and said, "I've made my decision, Karen; I'll take you under my care and treat you like my own child."

Lashan smirked and said proudly, "I'll teach you the right way to live!"
