Chapter 3

Damien couldn't breath. Not because Levi was laying on his chest, but rather because what just happened was unexpected. Levi had said only moments before. Although Damien had uncontrollably taken the first step towards this outcome back in the waiting room, he hadn't thought Levi himself would be so forward.

They sat in silence for a moment. A moment that turned into minutes. Minutes that turned into what felt like hours. Neither of them stirring to disturb the other.

Damien's thoughts fluttered. It did seem to glow a bit more than before, even without the sun, which was now peaking through the corner of the window that was left open from the night before. He wasn't able to finish his thought.

Levi stirred as the sun reached his closed eyes, which slowly fluttered open. "O-Oh..." He started trying to get up from laying on Damien.

Damien, felt a rush of cold hit his chest, almost missing Levi's warmth as he laid there. He didn't mind Levi laying on him either. His hand reached up and pushed against Levi's back, not letting him move any further upwards. "I don't mind." Damien said with a blush.

Levi understood and rested his head back down on Damien's chest. His hand moving Damien's to interlock their fingers. Damien's free hand brushed Levi's hair softly. It was just as fluffy and smooth as it had looked.

"I wish we could stay like this..." Levi began, his words catching in his throat. "forever, and free." His words muttered, Damien still being able to understand them.

Damien started, but couldn't find the words to agree with him.

Levi, feeling Damien's hand brush through his hair, their fingers interlocked with the opposite hand, breathed heavily. A tear falling down his cheek and on to Damien's shirt, soaking through.

Damien felt it and held him tightly in his arm, keeping their hands locked. "We'll make it through this..." Damien whispered into his ear. "together."

They stayed like this for a while longer. The sun, warming them, approving them.

It was loud and out of nowhere. Levi hadn't expected anyone to come. At least, not this early in the morning. He rushed to stand up, fixing his hair and his clothes.

Damien sat upright, understanding what could happen if they were caught, even just together.

Levi hesitantly opened the door, just enough to see who was standing outside without giving the visitor much of a look inside. He sighed a breath of relief when he saw his mother. A blond haired woman just a little shorter than Levi himself. He let his mother into the apartment and she took a quick look around.

Spotting Damien, she couldn't help but squeal. "He's so handsome!" Damien blushed slightly, turning his head to cover it in the sunlight.

"Mother!" Levi scowled. "You didn't have to say that. He's a bit... shy."

The comment from Levi made Damien blush more, the sunlight no longer able to hide it.

"Damien," Levi said with a sigh, "This is my mother, Amelia. Mom this is..." Levi paused to let Damien introduce himself.

"I-I'm De... Damien." He stuttered. "L-Levi's assigned werewolf..."

"Oh don't worry Damien, our entire family hates the system." Levi's mother said with a calming, motherly tone that Damien hadn't heard since he was separated from his own mother. Even with this reassurance, Damien still didn't feel any less intimidated.

"He doesn't fully understand, mom. He just got out from mess." Levi was referring to the institution where he and Levi first met.

"O-Oh... my bad." Levi's mother backed up a little, to give some room for Damien. "I-I'll go to the kitchen to make some breakfast. Want anything specific?"

"I don't mind." Damien whispered to Levi.

  "Anything's good, thanks mom!"

"Of course. Anything for my baby!" The oven started up with a couple clicks of the igniter.

"I'm sorry Damien..." Levi started, taking a step closer to him.

"You didn't know she was coming..." Damien whispered. "Just a little awkward."

Levi leaned over to see if his mother could see them. Confirming she couldn't, Levi moved Damien's legs together and sat down on his knees, one of his hands moving up to do what he had done to him only yesterday. Their eyes locked.

Levi's hands went over Damien's shoulders as Damien's hands moved to hold on to Levi's sides, almost instinctively. They got closer, their breaths hot and laced with a deep, intense scent of love coming off from them.

Levi made the first move, their faces nearly crashing together. Neither of them had kissed before. They didn't know what they were doing. Not entirely at least.

Passion rushed over Damien as he followed suit and deepened the kiss, pulling Levi's hips close to his. For one, fleeting moment, time stopped around them. Their warm lips embracing the others.

Everything was going so quickly. Their eyes met once more. Damien's turned to a sea of crashing waves, weathering beached rocks and golden sands. Levis, green eyes seemed to flow like a field of tall grass in the wind. Two opposites, attracted to one another.

Two unrelenting forces, one thoughtful and calm, the other, impulsive and overbearing. Each connecting perfectly, like two pieces of a puzzle that were never supposed to fit together.

As quick as the moment had begun, it ended. Damien's hand, reached up and moved some of Levi's hair from in front of his face, his other hand, still resting at his side.

Levi's blush not leaving his face for a single second as they shared the moment together. "You're so handsome Damien~." He said in a hushed whisper.

"Only for you." Damien said back.

Levi's mother walked from around the corner, freezing at the sight. Not saying a word, and not wanting to interrupt, turned silently around and moved back to the kitchen.

Neither of them noticed her movements as their eyes were locked on to each other. Their love only growing deeper with each passing second.

Soon the smell of eggs and bacon filled the room distracting both of them momentarily, but just enough to break their endless cycle.

"Something smells good. We should go check." Damien purred quietly.

Levi nodded, moving off of Damien's lap. Taking a quick glace back, Levi walked towards the kitchen, Damien following close behind.

When they walked into the kitchen, Levi noticed how his mother had set the plates. The eggs were all set to the right side of the plate with the bacon and a biscuit each on the left. All meticulously laid out exactly the same as the next.

She pushed two of them towards Levi and Damien as they approached. "Eat up! You two need your energy." She gave a sly wink towards Levi.

His face went flush red, Damien oblivious to what she meant or implied. Levi slowly took his plate and moved towards the table, glancing back at his mother with a slight scowl, to which she shrugged with a smile.

Levi knew she wouldn't tell anyone, but the fact she at all. But Levi also did understand, they were just sitting on the couch. Nowhere really hidden per-say.

They all ate in silence, Damien's obliviousness was endearing, in a way. Almost cute. Almost.

Damien was the first to finish his plate of food. "That was delicious!" His smile was relaxed and sincere.

"Why, thank you dear." Levi's mother returned the smile.

That short exchange made Levi start to choke on his food for a moment, causing him to cough a couple times. Both Damien and his mother looked at him as he cleared his throat. "I-I'm fine. Sorry."

It had only been ten minutes after they had finished eating when she left the house. The house, now eerily quiet and seemingly much larger.

Damien walked over to Levi, looking at his expression as he sighed. "You okay?" Damien whispered. "You seem like you're a little exhausted?"

"No." Levi said to the second statement before restating it, "Yes, I'm okay... No, I'm not exhausted."

Damien picked Levi up with a hug and walked him back over to the couch.

"Are you that eager to continue where we left off?" Levi said jokingly.

"Only if you want to." Damien teased as he sat Levi down, sitting next to him with a big arm stretch. "It really just seemed like the best place to sit for a while."

Levi, taking that offer, sat back in Damien's lap, his knees buried into the couch next to Damien's hips. "You know, I've never seen your werewolf form."

"I was told by the-" Damien started.

"Who cares what say" Levi interjected.

"Y-you might want to close your eyes..." Damien whispered.

Levi nodded as he did, hugging Damien, putting his face into his shoulder.

Damien relaxed a bit before forcing his transformation to occur. His body grew a little bigger and bigger, his clothing stretching easily with it.

Levi felt this transformation and jittered a little with a snicker as he moved with the size growth of Damien's entire body.

Soon it stopped, Levi slowly opening his eyes, moving his head back to look at Damien now.

He was a lot more wolf-like now. His head now had a snout that protruded from where his face and nose was originally. Levi's hands moved up to Damien's cheek and rubbed it. The fur that covered his face was soft, almost silky. It was black fur.

Levi chuckled as he smothered his face into Damien's fur-covered neck, startling Damien. Even started, though, Damien didn't move away from Levi.

"You're even cuter in this form." Levi's muffled voice vibrated through Damien's neck, making him growl, not in anger or annoyance. More like something you'd hear from a needy, attention seeking domesticated dog.

Levi's hot breath made Damien's fur stand on end. He was told to never use this form unless directed to do so in a life or death situation, yet, he wanted Levi to stay like this forever. Damien's hands held Levi's waist, pulling their bodies closer.

Damien was about six foot six in this form. Significantly taller than Levi.

"What's your preferred form?" Damien's question startled Levi.

Unsure of how to answer, he used the question back at Damien. "What's preferred form?"

  "I'm comfortable in either."

"Then, only use your human form outside in public, and whenever we are alone, use whatever form you feel like using."

Levi's face was still smothered in Damien's neck fur, sending waves of a sort of pleasure and joy through him, unlike he's ever felt before. His only wish now was for time to stop around them and let them stay this way. Forever.
