"It's okay, man. We know you didn't mean it." Zack said.

  Matthew didn't say anything. His gaze fell upon some deer in the tall grass.

  What are THEY doing here?

  "Uh Shadow, why are there animals here? This spot has been keeping them away for a long time, what's changed?"

  Shadow stopped and so did everyone else. "The phenomenon seems to have disappeared."

  "How can it just disappear?" Matthew wondered.

  "I don't know..." Shadow replied. Strange, Matthew thought.

  "Let's continue on, shall we?" Shadow then said. Suddenly, their blond haired friend left them and disappeared into the tall grass.

  The boys looked around for him.

  "Where did he go?" Matthew wondered.

  Suddenly, Max screamed as Shadow jumped out of the grass and landed on top of him. The blond laughed, and so did Zack and Matthew.

  "You should've seen the look on your face, Max!" Matthew cried.

  Max looked at Shadow in disbelief, then eventually laughed as well.

  Now Shadow, with hands on his hips, announced to the group. "Come on, let's see who gets scared the most!" He took off again, disappearing into the grass.

  Max, Zack and Matthew exchanged glances before splitting apart.
