After waiting for a Guardian to come take the next shift, I go to my room as usual. Hoping that they didn't suspect that I had a plan in my claw, just waiting for the right moment to spring it into action. I get to my room and start packing a backpack with food, water, a first aid kit, and my Notebook with a pin and some coloring pencils. I then throw the bag as hard as I can at the portal room, hoping it goes inside so no one would see it. A different guardian comes in, "Hay what are you doing!?" He says as I jump and yell, "HOLY GUARDIAN!", "you scared the living Galalxa out of me!", " well, your dragon sense seems to be not working...come here," he says as I walk over a bit he puts his hand on my head and checks to see if I am sick, which I had warmed up my body temperature before he came in. I have hidden a lot of new powers I have gotten over the years, and dragon sense is not one of them. "you are hot! Here, lay down. You can have the week off if you like," he says, taking his hands off my head. "oh..thank you, I was feeling a bit unwell." I say trying to sound proper so my chances of getting more time to do my plan. "Do you think you need more time to recover?." He asks, "Well, I think two weeks would be adequate." I fake cough to get him to leave. "yes, yes. Well, I will let you rest." he leaves the room, and I lay down for a bit untell he fully leaves. Looking out my window after a few minutes, I grab a rope out of my chest, tie it off, and start heading for the portal room. I try my best not to get caught, going behind the guard post so the other Guardian doesn't see me. A local looks at me but keeps walking making me think about my choice. The look in that local's eyes was like a cold shiver down my spine. I just stood there and thought, what am I doing, is this the right thing? What if they need me like an invasion happens or a Guardian passes away? gaaaa, this is so hard. Why am I just standing here? Come on, Airasee, you can do this. You have dreamed of going outside your world for so long that you can't stop now. However, I will miss my warm bed...the good meals I got every morning and night, and the warm glow of the Guardians. No, I have to do this. I have to know what's out there! I dash for the portal room, grab my bag, and fly into a random portal. To be Continued...
