Crystal Of tame
Chapter 23 Part 1
A group of small feline monsters with yellow fur and black lighting marks on their bodies hissed as they were trapped in a metal cage.
“So these are the Elecats,” a man dressed in a brown tunic with a green scarf that covered the lower part of his face said, as he closed the metal cage.
“Ele….CAT!” one of the trapped Elecat growled, shooting electric waves from its fur.
“That's so cute,” a woman said taunting the yellow feline monster, she was dressed in the same tunic as the man but with a light green scar covering the lower part of her face.
“But the cage is made of special material to stop electric class attacks so that won’t do you any good.”
She grinned as she reached out to touch one of the yellow fur feline monsters, and was met with a volt of electricity that knocked her down on her feet.
“Be careful you grunt,” a man dressed in a dark purple vest with brown pants and a brown scar that laid on his shoulders said, as he came into view of them. He had brown hair that was slicked back and a chin patch that sat in the middle of his jaw.
“Sorry Bandit chief Abadan sir,” the woman said as she got up from the floor, feeling embarrassed and wiping the dirt from her tunic.
“The cage may neutralize electric attacks but it doesn’t stop them completely, if you get too close you’ll still get attacked, this is a strong electric class monster after all,” Abadan said, reaching for his pocket and taking out a white and blue device with a dark crystal in the middle.
“Come out Vermat!”
A dark light shot out of the device and transformed itself into a black rat monster with white spikes around its neck and two fangs protruding from its mouth with two red beady eyes that seemed to glow as the moonlight hit them.
“Vermat use dark wave,” Abadan said, and Vermat's eyes began to emit a red light which made the group of Elecats that were in the cage stumble down in a trance-like state as they fell asleep.
“Sir,” one of the bandit grunts that was with Abadan said, as the trees in the distance began to shake violently.
“So you finally decide to come out and play,” Abadon said, smirking in excitement for his prize was soon to come.
“Put the rest of the monsters inside the carriage and you four come with me, we have a monster to tame for the bandit king.”
“Yes sir.”

“ How does it look, partner?” Lex said as he turned to Mirabit. He was wearing his Leaf Green jacket that Arthur gave him, making him an official member of the Leaf Blade guild. The jacket was dark green with the leaf blade emblem stitched on the right side of the jacket, along with brown shorts with large pockets on each side and his leather bag hanging across his shoulder.

Mirabit looked at Lex and nodded, jumping straight into Lex’s leather bag.
“And with this, we're officially licensed tamers,” he said, as he put on his tamer bracelet.
The bronze color bracelet shined like gold as the light that was coming from the only window in the room hit it. A bracelet only licensed tamer were allowed to wear, signaling their passing of the official taming licensed test that was conducted by the taming association.
“Shall we partner,” Lex said, petting the soft fur of Mirabit’s head.
“ Mirabit,” Mirabit said smiling at his tamer.
Lex left the small room that was his room within the Leaf Blade Guild and was greeted by Arthur at the door.
“It looks good on you,” Arthur said smiling at Lex. He looked almost like a carbon copy of Anita, which made him reminisce about the old days of the guild when it was called the Rock Shield Guild. But he was confident that Lex and Violet along with the rest of the Leaf Blade guild members were going to revive the guild back to its former glory, he was sure of it.
“Thanks,” Lex said smiling awkwardly, as he scratched the back of his head.
“Come, I’ll show you around the guild building.”
“Guild building?” Lex thought about Arthur’s words, to Lex, the Leaf Blade guild looked more like a house than a building compared to the Tamer Association building. But nonetheless, it had a certain warmness to it that reminded him of home. He couldn’t quite describe it, perhaps it had to do that this was home to three guild members who were in the same guild as his mother, but whatever it was, he felt oddly at home here.
“Let’s start here, this is the tamer hallway that’s filled with other tamer rooms, tamers which you’ll meet soon enough,” Arthur said, as he walked toward the staircase with Lex right behind, passing other rooms.
“This is the living room and to the side is the office of Rose which you met, she’s the guild leader, and to the right is Emily’s office the vice leader, and I’m the third in charge so I guess you can say I’m a leader as well.”
Lex looked back at the offices as he followed Arthur, remembering Rose and Emily, especially Emily who seemed to be good friends with his mother, and wondered if she had stories about his mother just like his aunt did back at Woodfield Village.
“Next is the kitchen,” Arthur said,
Mirabit sniffed the air anticipating the many great dishes that were filling the air of the room.
"Behave," Lex said smiling at Mirabit as he petted his soft fur.
As Lex and Mirabit entered the kitchen, they were greeted by a strong heat emanating from it.
The kitchen was made of stone with open ovens around it that seemed to burn with such intensity, that to Lex, it looked like the flames would pop out of the ovens at any second.
“This is our head chef and the best chef in all of Stonetopolis. Mr. Blaz.”
“Hello there young tamer,” Mr. Blaz said, his voice resonating like a deep mountain in the kitchen. He was a heavy-set man with a dark grey apron that was wrapped around his waist and a red tank top with a fire logo on it, his copper skin seemed to shine as the heat from the kitchen embraced the room.
“Don’t worry they won’t burn you.”
Mr. Blaz winked at Lex, noticing the young tamer’s apprehension to the open flames.
“Is nice to meet you,” Lex said, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
“And this is my partner Mirabit.”
“Mirabit,” Mirabit said, nodding at Mr. Blaz as well.
“The pleasure is all mine,” Mr. Blaz said,
“and this is my partner Berferno, the one responsible for keeping the flames quite safe.”
“Berferno,” Berferno said, bowing before them.
The big bear reminded Lex of Maidanda in a way. It had red fur that seemed to be shaped in the form of flames wrapped around its waist, arms, and shoulders and a burning flame on its forehead. It looked quite formidable to Lex.
“Nice to meet you Berferno!” Lex said, in awe at the monster Berferno, it was the first time he was next to a fire-class monster.
“These two make the best food in all of the guilds, trust me,” Arthur said winking at them.
“HAHAHAH !” Mr. Baz let out a hearty laugh.
“You praise us too much but I’m glad you enjoy our cooking.”
“Only because is true, what’s for dinner today, care to show us a quick glimpse?” Arthur said, trying to get a sneak peek into one of the many dark pots that were in the burning ovens.
“Is a secret but trust me I’m sure you’ll love it.”
“Don’t we always, "Arthur said, smiling
“Why don't we leave Mr. Blaz to finish cooking and I’ll show you the most fun area in the guild beside the kitchen.”
Lex thought about Arthur's words and wondered where or what this place was.
“It was nice to meet you, Mr.Blaz,” Lex said before leaving the kitchen.
"Likewise young Lex," Mr. Blaz said.
Lex looked back as he left and was amazed by Mr. Blaz's control of his monster partner’s flames, it almost looked as if Mr. Blaz was the one controlling the flames themselves, making him remember what happened at Woodfield Forest, as he looked at his birthmark on his hand, the monster like shape looking back at him.
