Chapter 18: Disaster

The Abyssal Shadon crashed back to the ground with ah-shaking impact, its colossal form trembling with the aftermath of its fall, the forest fell into an eerie silehe once-mighty creature had beeed, its dark energy dissipating as it unsummoned and vanished from the realm of the living.

Risebelle turo her sisters, a rare smile grag her features. “Well done, both of you. We make a formidable team.”

Roselle grinned, her previous frustration now repced with pride. “I guess I’m not so bad in a fight after all!”

The mage who had summohe Abyssal Shadon pouhe forest floor with his ched fists.

“I-I ’t believe it... H-How could this happen?” he muttered in disbelief, his eyes wide with despair. He pouhe ground again.“Do you have any idea how many years it took me to learn that summon? How many sacrifices I made to master its dark power? It was supposed to be the ultimate on, the key to crushing my enemies, and it was defeated…defeated by... by three little girls! And they were created by Dr. Kintovar! How could this happen? This is a disgrace! A shame upon my name!”

The three sisters approached the defeated mage, who trembled in fear at their presence. His once-fident demeanor had crumbled, repced by a deep sense of dread.

Risebelle spoke calmly. “Summoning magic is pretty fasating. It’s a shame that you couldn’t show us it’s full potential. While we’d like to see what else you do, we’re on a tight schedule, so lets this up and have your death already, you filthy human.”

The mage’s eyes widened in terror as he realized the sisters’ iions. Risebelle tinued, her tone cold and final. “Thank you for the lesson.”

Before the mage could utter a word in protest, Risebelle delivered a swift, fatal shot with her on, ending his life.

Roselle attempted to give her sister a high-five, Risebelle g her, a look of fusio in her eyes.

“What the hell are you doing, Roselle?” she asked, not aced to such gestures of celebration.

Roselle looked at Risebelle with a nervous grin, “W-Well, I’ve seen it in movies and stuff. People high-five when they achieve something together, right?”

Risebelle stared at Roselle for a moment. She then shook her head slightly and responded, “Well, I suppose you’re right about that, Roselle. But let’s save the celebrations for after we’ve pleted our missioill have work to do.”

Roselle turned her attention to Runebelle and asked “Runebelle, aren’t you at least a little happy about what we just did?”

She nodded in respoo Roselle’s question, her lips curving into a faint smile.

“I am, Roselle,” she admitted softly. “It’s just... I’m not used to showing it.”

Roselle ences her sister. “e on, Runebelle, give it a try! Like this!” She raised her hand and gave ahusiastic high-five gesture.

Runebelle raised her hand, albeit more tentatively, and gave a weak but genuine high-five iurn.

Risebelle observed her sisters’ exge with a subtle shake of her head.

“I suppose we all need our ways of dealing with this,” Risebelle thought

As Roselle’s enthusiasm filled the air, a sudden and ued turn of events unfolded. Without warning, Roselle’s eyes fluttered, and she swayed unsteadily before colpsing to the forest floor. Her normally vibrant and eic demeanor had been repced by a sudden loss of sciousness.

Risebelle and Runebelle reacted swiftly, rushing to their fallen sister’s side. Panic surged within them as they tried to assess the situation. Risebelle k beside Roselle, her heart rag as she checked for vital signs.

“Roselle, hey, wake up!” Risebelle excimed. She gently shook her sister, but there was no response.

Runebelle, her face etched with worry, examined Roselle’s dition. “It’s not a physical injury.... her life force was like this after the fight too..”

The System message appeared before them:

  Status: Roselle

  Lifeforce: 75%

Risebelle and Runebelle exged ed gnces as they tried to prehend Roselle’s sudden loss of sciousness. The System message only added to their fusion.

“What’s happening to her, Runebelle? This doesn’t make sense. Her lifeforce is at 75%. She should be perfectly fine!”

Runebelle replied, “I’m not sure, Risebelle. It’s as if something is affeg her from within. We o figure this out quickly and find a way to help her…”

Risebelle nodded in agreement, her mind rag for a solution. “Let’s get her somewhere safe and try to assess the situation. Maybe there’s something we missed during the battle.”

With great care, Risebelle and Runebelle lifted their unscious sister and began to carry her to a more secure location within the mystical forest.

As Risebelle carried her unscious sister alongside Runebelle, a growing sense enawed at her. She couldn’t shake the realization that the group of mages they had entered earlier was still gathered in the er, attempting to summon ae Mage.

‘If that Elite Mage is summoned here,’ Risebelle thought with a deep sense of , ‘we won’t stand a ce, especially with Roselle in this dition. We o get her to safety, and fast.’

Her thoughts raced as she sidered their options. ‘We ’t let them plete that ritual, but I ’t leave Runebelle aloh Roselle. We need a pn, and we now.’

Risebelle couldn’t e up with a pn on her own. The situation was dire, and they needed a solution quickly. She turo Runebelle and spoke with haste.

“Runebelle, we’re in a difficult spot. I ’t leave Roselle aloh you, but we also ’t let those mages plete their summoning ritual. We need help, and we fast. Do you have any ideas gestions on how to hahis?”

“I’m not sure, Risebelle,” Runebelle replied, “But maybe we find a hidden spot to y Roselle down and then front those mages together? If we disrupt their ritual or drive them away, it might buy us enough time to figure out what’s wrong with her.”

Risebelle nodded in agreement. “That might be our best option for now. Let’s find a secure spot for Roselle, and then we’ll face those mages. We have to protect her and stop them from summoning that Elite Mage.”

Risebelle carefully found a secure spot within the mystical forest, a cealed area where they could y Roselle down. She ehat the surroundings were hidden from view, using her keen instincts to choose a location that provided cover and prote.

To be cautious, Risebelle decided to set down slippery energy around Roselle.

After Risebelle finished setting up the slippery energy, Runebelle spoke a . “What if Roselle wakes up and actally slips down?”

“Don’t worry, Runebelle. If Roselle wakes up before we return, we’ll hear her loud yelp for sure. The slippery energy is just ara precaution to keep anyone else from approag unnoticed.”

With Roselle now secured in a hidden spot, the two sisters turheir attention to the impending threat. The group of mages attempting to summon ae Mage still posed a signifit danger, and they o front this situation head-on.

Risebelle and Runebelle stealthily re-approached the area with the group of mages. Risebelle readied her on on silencer mode. With a series of precise and silent shots, she aimed to catch the mages off guard and disrupt their ritual.

However, as the first sh out, a shimmering barrier materialized around the mages, defleg the ining shots. The sisters watched in surprise as the barrier absorbed the attacks without faltering.

One of the mages within the protected circle spoke up. “Did you really think we would be so unprepared, amateurs?”

Ane, a man with a ridiculously big hat, chimed in, “Oh, look at the little toy gun. Did you get that from a ival? Maybe you should try the ring toss ime.”

A thin mage with a nose so long it almost touched his ughed obnoxiously. “Is that supposed to be a on? I’ve seeer firepower in a kids’ magic show!”

“Damn it!” Risebelle cursed under her breath.

The same mage held a cruel smile on his face .“It’s too te anyways. The ritual has been pleted.”

Risebelle’s eyes widened in horror as she felt the chilling presence of powerful magic begin to permeate the area. She whispered, “Oh no...”

A bone-chilling ess filled the air, and the mystical forest seemed to shudder in respohe sisters exged fearful gnces as the magic of the Elite Mage made itself known.

As the chilling presence of the Elite Mage’s magig in the air, the sisters’ attention was drawn to an ued sight. Before them stood a well-crafted ice chair, its frosty blue and silver surface shimmering in the eerie light of the magical forest.

Risebelle and Runebelle exged puzzled gnces, clearly taken aback by the unusual appearance of the ice chair. It was not what they had anticipated from the Elite Mage’s magic.

However, their fusion was short-lived as a figure emerged from behind the icy throne. Aliana, the ancer, appeared before them with an air of aloof elegance. Her pale blue hair cascaded around her shoulders, and her frosty blue and silver robes glistened in the cold.

Aliana regarded the sisters with an enigmatic smile, her crimson eyes gleaming with an otherworldly iy. She spoke with a tohat betrayed her icy demeanor, “Well, what have we here? Intruders on our domain?”

  The sisters were momentarily speechless.

“I am Aliana, the ancer, and I also hold the title of Swod.”

The sisters’ eyes briefly flickered toward the sheathed sword at Aliana’s side.

Aliana tinued with an enigmatic smile, her words dripping with a subtle disdain. “Ah, you must be the creations of Dr. Kintovar, the foolishly foolish fool,” she remarked, but with a smile that remained perfectly in pce.

Risebelle remained ral but her eyes still decided to challehe human who made their way to them. She spoke in a calm and measured tone, her eyes l slightly “Well, Aliana, they say that ‘foolish’ is just ‘wise’ with a few extra letters.”

“And as for your dear Dr. Kintovar, I must say, her choi creating child-sized dolls is truly a testament to her, shall we say, ‘unique’ sense of aesthetics,” Aliana remarked, her smile widening ever so slightly “But that’s what we expect from Dr. Kintovar, the ‘brilliant’ mind behind you child-sized warriors. It’s almost as if she couldn’t be bothered to create adults,”

Risebelle couldn’t help but feel a twinge of annoya Aliana’s insults, but she maintained her posure. She looked up at Aliana and said, “Well, Aliana, it seems you’re a master of both id insults. But you keep that smile when you’re fag two creations of a ‘foolishly foolish fool’?”

Aliana’s smile remained in pce, but there was a flicker of curiosity in her eyes as she regarded Risebelle. “Ah, it seems you have a bit of wit after all,” Aliana remarked, “but words alone won’t save you from the chill of my magic.”

Aliana turned her attention to the group of mages who had summoned her, her smile now transformed into a more serious expression.

“You there,” she addressed the mages, “remove the Maractor from the barrier and relocate it immediately. This area is no longer safe. If you value your lives, you will heed my warning and act swiftly.”

The mages exged nervous gnces. With trembling hands, they began the process of dismantling the protective barrier and prepared to move the Maractor to a safer location.

Aliana slowly uhed her sword, Risebelle couldn’t help but be intrigued by the title she had mentioned - the “Swod.” It was a title that carried weight.

‘Is the title “Swod” just for show, or does Aliana truly possess exceptional swordsmanship?’ Risebelle wondered. ‘bining mastery of the sword with formidable ice magic would make her a formidable adversary. I ’t uimate her..’
