"You think you have all the answers, don't you, Seph?" Loki drawled, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You e here, chastise Thor and the All-Father himself, and now you wish to lecture me?"
Seph smiled slightly. "It isn't about lecturing, Loki. It's about seeing things clearly—something I think you, of all people, have the capacity for. You're keenly aware of the fws in Asgard's ways, the secrets that bind it together. A… here you are, skulking around your father's throne room, never quite stepping into the light."
Loki's expression flickered, his jaw tensing as he crossed his arms tighter. "I suppose yoing to tell me you know the 'truth of my heart'?" he scoffed. "Save me the lecture, Seph. I've no desire to be reminded of my pce—or ck thereof—in this family."
Seph regarded him with a steady gaze, unphased by Loki's bitterness. "No, Loki, I'm not here to remind you of your 'pce.' I'm here to tell you about your potential—something you've been denied, and something even you don't fully see. But you'll o let go of your rese long enough to listen."
Loki's eyes narrowed, skepticism hardening his face. "Go on, then. Enlighten me."
Seph took a step closer, l his voice slightly. "You've always felt different, haven't you? As though you didn't quite belong, no matter how much you excelled or how deeply you craved respect. Odi secrets from you, things you deserved to know—and because of it, you grew up feeling like a shadow in your own home."
A fsh of pain crossed Loki's face, but he hid it quickly behind a mask of indifference. "If you're referring to my ins," he sneered, "I'm well aware of Odin's deception. He kept the truth from me, and now he expects my loyalty in spite of it. A Frost Giant… posing as Asgard's pri's ughable."
Seph's gaze softened. "But why ugh at it, Loki? That truth is a part of you—ohat you've tried to hide because you feared it made you unworthy. But your Jotun blood doesn't weaken you. It makes you unique. Powerful. Something far greater than a mere prince of Asgard."
Loki hesitated, his mask crag for a moment as Seph's words resonated with a part of him he often tried to ignore.
"You're different, yes," Seph tinued, his voice growing more i. "And that difference gives you the ce te two worlds. The Frost Giants have been seen as enemies of Asgard for turies, but that hatred doesn't have to endure. Not if you're willing to cim your heritage. To accept that you're more than Asgard's ed son."
Loki's expressiohoughtful, though guarded. "And what exactly would you have me do? Return to Jotunheim as some sort of… emissary?"
"Not just an emissary," Seph said, his gaze peing. "A king. Odin's pn was for you to i your lineage and recim Jotunheim's throne. He hoped that, by doing so, you could rule as a true leader and bring peace between your people and Asgard."
A flicker of doubt and yearning appeared in Loki's eyes as he processed this. "King of Jotunheim…" he murmured, almost to himself. "A, I was never given the choice. I was lied to. Raised to see Asgard as home and Jotunheim as the enemy."
Seph nodded slowly, aowledging the injustice. "That's the tragedy of Odin's way. He thought he roteg you, shaping you to fulfill his vision. But that doesn't have to be the end of your story, Loki. You have the power to embrace all of who you are—not as Odin's puppet, but as a leader who uwo realms."
Loki looked away, his jaw tight, a whirlwind of emotions evident on his face. "And if I fail? What if they see me as nothing but a traitor, or worse—a fn prince who thinks himself their king?"
"Then you stand," Seph said simply. "You face the s, you face the doubt, and you prove them wrong. You have the intelligehe ing, the vision to rule. But you must first learn to trust in yourself, Loki. Not the illusions you've woven to hide your pain."
Loki's gaze slowly returo Seph, and for once, his mask fell away, repced by a raw vulnerability. "And Thor?" he asked quietly. "He would see it as a betrayal."
"No," Seph replied, shaking his head. "If you two learn to see beyond your rivalries, beyond the lies that have kept you divided, you could create a sting peace between Jotunheim and Asgard. Thor is set to be Asgard's king, but you are meant for a kingdom of your own. Together, you two could bring true bao the Nine Realms."
Loki absorbed this, his expression softening as he sidered the possibility.
"Peace…" he murmured as if tasting the word for the first time. "A, it feels impossible."
"Only because you've never been given the ce," Seph said gently. "But if you want it, Loki, then fight for it. Not with trickery or illusions, but with the true strength you've hidden for so long. You've spent your life crafting shadows and half-truths. Imagine what you could build with hoy and purpose."
For a long moment, Loki stood silent, staring at the floor, his mind rag as the weight of Seph's words settled over him. Slowly, he looked up, his expressionless guarded and more open than Seph had ever seen.
"I… don't know if I trust him. Or myself," Loki admitted softly. "But perhaps… I could try."
Seph smiled faintly, pg a reassuring hand on Loki's shoulder. "That's all that's o start. You've always bee for something great, Loki. But that greatness will e not from being someone you're not, but from embrag who you truly are."
Loki gave a slight nod, a spark of hope mingling with his usual skepticism. With a final goward his parents and the throne room, he turned, disappearing silently into the shadows once more—though this time, with a new sense of purpose and possibility guiding his path.
As Seph watched him go, a feeling of quiet satisfa filled him. Perhaps, in time, the gods of Asgard and Jotunheim would e to see each other not as enemies, but as allies. And perhaps, one day, the peace Loki and Thor could bring would be a legacy to rival even the greatest of Odin's ambitions.
