Asura’s Graveyard Run

“Oh right, old man Xiu, do you know where I can find some humanoid monsters good for leveling up?” Asura Phantom had a passive that gave him a 50% damage bonus when killing humans. Not taking advantage of that busted ability would practically be a crime.

“Hmph, I knew you’d ask.” Tianxiu gave him that smug, punch-worthy look of his. “Do the dead count as people?”

“Uh... barely,” Feng Xiao muttered. “Wait, old man, don’t tell me you want me to go kill zombies.” He wrinkled his nose and gave Tianxiu a disgusted look.

“Zombies? Please. Do those even count as people? I’m talking about the Reaper’s Graveyard—a pce only we Asura can enter!”

  “Reaper’s Graveyard? Sounds kinda spooky.”

“If you’re scared, don’t go.” Tianxiu scoffed. “Back in the day, I trained there for three years straight and not once did I feel afraid.”

“Pfft, did I say I was scared? But why can only Asura enter?” Feng Xiao asked, frowning.

“The graveyard is shrouded in the aura of death. Any normal person who steps inside will have their life force gradually drained until they die. But we Asura are completely immune to death energy.”

“They say the Reaper’s Graveyard has seven levels, each guarded by all kinds of sentries and death-beasts. But they’re nothing more than spirit forms created from the aura of death. There’s a legend that the deepest level seals away a sleeping Death God. No idea if it’s true, but back in my prime, I only barely made it to the fifth level. If I could’ve gone deeper, I really would've liked to see what a Death God looks like.” Tianxiu’s face showed a rare trace of regret.

“Alright, I’m going. I need to power up ASAP. Later, old man!” With enough intel gathered, Feng Xiao dashed off like the wind.

Tianxiu stood there, wordless, forcing himself to suppress the urge to explode.

  Three minutes ter...

Feng Xiao came running back, drenched in sweat and looking completely worn out. “Uh... how do I get to the Reaper’s Graveyard again?”

“Damn it! I knew this would happen! How do you expect to become a great Asura charging out like an idiot like that?! And what the hell did I give you a map for?!” Tianxiu yelled, unching into a tirade. Feng Xiao just nodded obediently, mentally tuning him out like background noise.

One hour ter, Feng Xiao finally arrived at the Reaper’s Graveyard.

It wasn’t far from the western outskirts of Dragon Emperor City. With his movement skills stacked and running full tilt, it only took him about an hour. By then, his stat penalty had worn off. Donning the Asura Phantom and Snow Spirit Cloak, Feng Xiao looked at his now-impressive stats and couldn’t help but feel a surge of confidence—though, hiriously, he was still wearing newbie top and bottom gear.

At first, the heavy death aura of the graveyard made him feel sick to his stomach. But after a while, the discomfort faded, and he activated Heaven’s Eye to scan his surroundings.

Reaper’s Graveyard:Fifty thousand years ago, the Demon Lord attempted to ensve the Death God, only to meet fierce resistance. Enraged, yet unable to destroy such a powerful being, he instead sealed the Death God deep underground. Ever since, the nd above has been steeped in death energy, becoming the Reaper’s Graveyard. Though sealed, the Death God continues to emit a powerful death aura, turning the area into a forbidden zone for humans and beasts alike.

Demon Lord… Feng Xiao’s heart skipped a beat. It was that name again—the Demon Lord.

He shook off the thought and muttered under his breath, “Xuanyuan Sword! Water Bloom! Wind Spirit!”

The Xuanyuan Sword appeared in his hand in a fsh of light, as blue and green auras wrapped around him. Feng Xiao smirked, pleased with his status window:

Name: Feng HunCss: Asura WarlockGuild: NoneLevel: 14Fame: 1350Gold: 2670

  Resistances:Fire: 30%Water: 40%Wind: 60%Lightning: 30%Earth: 30%Light: 10%Dark: 10%

His stats were ridiculously high—especially his HP. At level 14, his health rivaled that of heavily-armored tank pyers in their forties. Feng Xiao couldn’t help but marvel at how insanely overpowered these divine artifacts were.

With confidence surging through him, Feng Xiao pushed open the massive gates of the Death God's Graveyard.

“Ding! Congratutions, pyer Wind Soul, for discovering the hidden map ‘Death God's Graveyard’. Experience +1000, Reputation +20.”

As the system prompt rang out, the first floor of the Death God’s Graveyard slowly came into view.

It looked more like a massive cemetery than a dungeon. The ground was dotted with countless mounds of earth—some rge, some small—and occasional fences that stood eerily in formation. Groups of white-cd guards, each wielding a bde, wandered aimlessly like restless spirits. The entire area radiated with cold stillness and eerie silence.

The creaking sound of the door opening immediately drew the attention of the wandering soldiers. These cannon fodder mobs had been drifting around here for tens of thousands of years, practically bored out of their minds. Now, finally spotting an intruder, they cheered with glee and charged at Feng Xiao with bdes raised high.

White-Cd Guard – Level 18, HP: 680Formed from years of accumuted death energy released by the Death God, these are spirit-type entities tasked with guarding the Death God’s Graveyard.

Trait – Undead Physique: Possesses partial immunity to death-element attacks.

Skill – “Watch the Bde”: A focused ssh with a chance to deal double damage.

Heaven’s Eye instantly reported everything about these mobs. “Level 18 right from the first floor… and isn’t this way too many of them?” Feng Xiao hadn’t even finished his thought before a storm of attacks rained down on him.

  Miss, miss, -40, miss, -35, miss…

Thanks to the outrageous agility bonus from the Snow Spirit Cloak, Feng Xiao’s head was fshing miss like a slot machine. Even the rare hits barely scratched him, their damage ughably low—easily outpaced by the automatic recovery from Shura's Rebirth. Rolling his eyes at the mindless swarm, Feng Xiao gave them the middle finger and sshed forward with Frost Break Ssh.

Swish—crack! As the Xuanyuan Sword swept through the air, a burst of white frost bloomed around all enemies within 4 meters. The moment the bde passed, the frozen petals shattered simultaneously, triggering a cascade of brilliant, devastating damage numbers:

  -1612, -1601, -3194, -1583…

“Yup, one-shot kills! These grunts definitely have under 100 defense.”

The white-cd soldiers, who’d only just gotten excited, dropped like flies within seconds, showering the ground with copper coins and potions. But as quickly as one wave fell, another rushed in—only to colpse moments ter in another frozen explosion of damage.

Feng Xiao was like a tiger tearing through a flock of chickens, sweeping through the entire first floor of the dungeon. A lone mob got a basic attack; a group got a face full of ice. The air was filled with the sound of shattering frost and items clinking to the floor. The white-cd guards were thinning out fast—their respawn rate couldn’t keep up with Feng Xiao’s pace of annihition.

“This is way too easy…” Feng Xiao muttered, unimpressed. After over ten minutes of nonstop killing, both his HP and MP were still at max. Shura's Rebirth easily outpaced any damage he took and all his mana usage.

Among monsters of simir level, these white-cd guards were clearly high-attack, low-HP types, dishing out around 200 damage. But against Feng Xiao’s tanky build and defense from his high Vitality, their attacks felt like tickles.

Combined with the Shura css’s high offensive bonus, Shura Illusion’s 50% bonus damage to human-type enemies, powerful skills, and extra elemental damage, these mobs were nothing but tofu people—fragile and helpless.

Another wave of guards respawned and came rushing at him, only to be swallowed by another Frost Break Ssh. They evaporated into EXP the moment they charged. Feng Xiao carved through the horde, slowly making his way deeper into the graveyard, now actively looking for the entrance to the second floor.

But the entire first floor looked the same—endless mounds and fences. After thirty minutes of mowing down mobs, he still hadn’t seen anything that looked remotely like an exit.

After walking another hundred meters or so, he spotted three white silhouettes up ahead. Without hesitation, he cast Wind Wheel Ssh.

The Xuanyuan Sword spun into a whirlwind, tearing forward with a sharp howling gust. The path behind it kicked up clouds of dust, and compared to Whirlwind Ssh, this new skill was noticeably faster and carried a spiraling green wind bde around the sword.

  -1202, -1196.

The three figures flinched from the impact, then charged straight at him.

“They’re still standing?” Feng Xiao blinked in surprise.
