It was time!
Was someone going home?
The condition was that if no one votes for someone, they were to leave…So, was there a chance that no one was going home?
Matilda didn’t know what she wanted! Mentally, for her, she sorta wished every golden heir had a vote, but then physically, because of work, she also wished that a few left…So, she felt nasty and nice…It wasn’t a good fvor!
With all the papers handed in and put into a homemade box, made especially for this purpose, Matilda sighed and put up tallies to each person that was voted on, leaving the parchments out afterwards…Just in case they wanted to check her work.
Double checking, so that she wasn’t the one to make mistakes, Matilda continued, but it didn’t take long considering that there were only seven emperors there…There would have been eight if Indigo Haven still existed.
For a quick moment Matilda stopped and had a thought…Perhaps she could get that going again…Get another haven going…Or maybe…Maybe that could be where her home could be…If she put up the anti-beast barrier, some houses…
“Matilda?”
Focus!
After the st lot of voting, putting the tally’s up next to the names, Matilda then put down the parchment and turned to the emperors…It was time to state if anyone was leaving…And who they might be!
Three golden heirs had already left, which, surprisingly enough, were all Nate’s children. That was the red haven heir, Green haven heir and the dusk haven heir. That meant about eight left? Right?
Matilda really should keep tabs with them better!
There were fifteen golden heirs, or true golden heirs, of age at the time that she wrote her letters, and two did not come. Three have left and so that leaves ten left…Wow, that was actually still quite a lot!
Out of that, Matilda said, “There is a few that are eliminated.”
There were also votes for someone that wasn’t even on the list!
Looking at the blue haven emperor, Matilda narrowed her eyes at him, and he smiled, almost like he admitted that it was him!
Crazy old man!
It really did remind her of Earth days though…She had thought that a lot of her memories had disappeared now but funnily enough she now remembered that there was indeed a movie that voted for ‘none of the above’…And well, there was another real figure that she knew who actually voted for some looney toon, or something so obviously not on the list.
Whatever, it’s been long enough now, and she had to get this ‘race’ on the way!
The emperors were clearly already looking at the board and already knew most of what was going on, so Matilda stopped talking, considering she didn’t know how to state, in a nice way, that a few people were out of the ‘race’.
Making an obvious sigh, Matilda instead did what many did on Earth and made another wall and put on there who was eliminated in golden writing…
They can just see it for themselves…
Four did not have any votes whatsoever and so, without saying, they all knew what would happen with those four.
Matilda sighed and watched as all the golden heirs walked towards them, towards the wall and towards their future.
The six that were staying actually still included that of Nate, as well as the clown blue golden heir. Austin was another, along with the yellow haven golden heir.
After some commotion, including that of looking at the votes to ‘make sure’ that everything was true, the four finally accepted their fate. One was an elder heir, perhaps one of Keith’s or Christian’s children, who hadn’t really made too much of a change to anything, and he didn’t fight the outcome. The two that did fight it suddenly stopped and looked at Matilda, “What’s this! Why is ‘Matthew’ on there!? He’s not even supposed to be on the list! This is…I demand we do this again!”
Looking at Matthew, then the blue haven emperor, Matilda sighed, “Your name did not get a vote, that is all. You are welcome to stay the rest of the day and wait until morning to leave, I will come to see you before dinner to gift to you what was promised in the letter.”
With a sigh, Matilda left, leaving whatever was to happen without her.
As far as she could tell, there were compints, surprises, questions and even a bit of angry ranting that was going to happen and well, Matilda didn’t really want to be there for that.
Today was the first day that she was going to give the second gift that she had stated in the letter. The three golden heirs that left earlier had left without it and well, she hadn’t really realized beforehand. But…She also came to a thought that this was business and well they left before they were ‘finished’…And so perhaps they weren’t entitled to the second part of the gift. Otherwise, Matilda didn’t know what else to do but leave it. She was not only busy with other things and forgot, but wasn’t sure if she should give it to them in the first pce, so nothing happened, and they are still without it!
Now, she thought it was only good business methods to follow through the ‘contract’, as it was indeed a legitimate thing that she was doing. It wouldn’t look good if golden haven didn’t follow their first type of ‘contract’!
Luckily, the beast skins were pretty much already ready to go, she just had to perhaps wrap them up or something.
Or should she just leave it and just give it to them as is?
It didn’t take long for Matilda to come up with some fancy golden wrapping paper and some material to do a bow. Wrapping them up reminded her of Christmas! She sorta missed those types of days on earth where she could have chocote for breakfast and wrap up pressies!
Having no separate day here and there, dedicated to particur things, sorta made this pnet a bit boring! Actually, the pnet really was boring in a general type of way, including the weather!
Mother nature back on earth was deadly, with all the floods and tornadoes and hurricanes…Here they had one big storm that sorta slowly made its way around and around, going off in random pces. It was almost like the storm picked up its ‘charm’ from all and that’s how it continued! It was sort of a mystery actually! It even reminded her of another pnet not far from earth with its own constant storm…
‘The storm is what a golden emperor did so to help weather stay mostly fine everywhere else.’
Ah, that’s right…
Matilda even forgot the spiritual essence talked to her! It had been a while, but it couldn’t be helped, she was busy after all and what she was busy with was something that would hopefully help the spiritual essence so…What was there to say!?
So, it’s the weather wrapped up in like…A gift then?
It was a thought that only came to be because of what she was doing…
Finishing off the fourth wrapped gift, Matilda smiled. She always like wrapping…What was it about trying to get it done so well that it was almost looked like it was done from the professionals at the shops!?
Since it had been a while her first gift wasn’t done very well, but she had gotten better by the time she got to her fourth one!
After four trips, to see the golden heirs that were eliminated, Matilda finally returned…To be surprised…
What could surprise someone who was open minded, adaptable and who could read minds, you ask?
Well, if she were paying attention, she would have known that the blue haven emperor brought forward a proposition, to which Matthew was declining.
“Then how about a time limit? You can already see the benefits to doing this! We can still continue to follow on with the golden heirs but this way we don’t have to rush, and we can return back to our respective havens earlier.”
Matilda looked at the blue haven emperor, who had just spoken that, and stayed back.
It didn’t take too long to figure out that they were actually talking about getting a golden emperor right now.
“I can see the advantages, but I did not ask for this!” Matthew stated firmly, “If I had wanted to be the golden emperor, I would have been on that list!” He pointed to the wall where all the golden heirs had their name upon it.
Matilda put her bottom lip in between her teeth and then inwardly sighed. She was going to get in trouble for this for sure but…
In no time at all, from where she was, she put Matthew’s name on the wall.
“Again, I agree with him. Since we are here to officially pick the golden emperor, why stop now? And he’s right, he did not even choose to be a part of the people willing to take the position as the emperor!”
The blue haven emperor humphed, “It is not like it is carved in stone! Matthew has helped us by calming us down, preparing and, after all, he is also the husband of the woman who…”
“Don’t you bring up that woman!” Nate stated through his teeth.
“That woman is why you are here! She is the reason why we are all here, together…For the first time in how long!?” The blue haven emperor said back to him in a clear and hard voice!
“His name…It’s on there…Look!”
Everyone turned to the wall and one in particur turned angrily towards Matilda…Who gave a little shrug and lightly smiled.
“Take it off!” Matthew stated to her…He cannot remember ever ordering her to do much at all, but that was indeed an order!
Matilda looked at the emperors and said, “If we agree to have Matthew pced as a temporary golden haven emperor, then when would the time limit finish?”
The blue haven emperor smiled.
“I don’t agree!” Nate yelled.
Matilda turned to Nate and said, “If the emperors can agree, then we can finish this…”
Don’t say race…
Matilda continued, “We can finish this at a ter date…”
“And when would this ‘ter date’ come!?” Another golden heir asked, also not happy! He was happy he had gotten a vote and felt pretty good, only to now not feel so good anymore…
Matilda tried to think of something…Anything! What about…What is it that they needed to do anyway!?
“Oh, what about when golden haven is…”
Is what…Ready? Clean? Homey?
Matthew, as much as he was mad at his beloved, he finished her sentence, “Is capable of being the main haven.”
Matilda pointed at Matthew and smiled, “That!”
That sorta just fit in everything that Matilda wanted to say! She had said something about bending space cultivators, she’d stated rebuilding golden haven and it was all stated in that one sentence!
Ah, I love that man!
Matthew sighed to her obvious look at him and looked away…
He did not know how long he was going to stay mad at her!
…Probably not for very long…
“Do the emperors agree then, to pce Matthew as the temporary golden haven emperor until golden haven is ready?”
Matilda felt like she could have said that better but really, if they didn’t get the idea on what she was saying then they’d be dumb!
The blue haven emperor stood up, “I agree!”
Emperor Seth also stood, nodding, “I also agree.”
Leonard eyed Matthew and stood up, knowing the advantages, “I concur.”
That was already three!
Was the golden bridge going to happen today!? Were we going to get a golden emperor…Today!?
Matilda wondered if it was ok that she gets excited!?
“Fine, I agree!” The Dusk emperor stated, but did not stand up.
Four! Four emperors in agreement! Only three…
“I agree…As long as we are true to the conditions.” The yellow haven emperor stated, clearly, they weren’t a fan of Matthew…
Two left!
“Then I am also in agreement.”
The only emperor left to agree then was the green emperor, who eyed everyone there, including that of the remaining golden heirs.
