“Show me…”
Seeing into Matthew, unable to stop herself, she saw that he tried not to refer to himself so much as a Prince anymore.
Kin raised his eyebrows and gave his father the letter.
Matthew frowned as he read it and looked past the letter to him, “Where did you find it?”
“It was right here.”
After showing his father where he had found it, he stared at his father, as his father stared at him.
Matthew took a sudden breath in and turned around, in a circle…
He did not see who he wanted…
Sahara was not there…
…Could she be close by?
As he was just about to go outside, he then found the letter addressed to him.
With a stare, he swallowed and couldn’t move towards it. He held onto Kin’s letter slightly tighter and took a deep breath in.
“Father, this is a good chance to talk to the emperor’s…We could ask them if they’ve seen her.”
Matthew took one step, then another, closer to the letter and picked it up.
Did you leave this here? Sahara? Are you…Who else would leave a letter from Golden Haven…Who else would be able to get a letter like this to everyone!?
“Sahara…”
“Father?”
Matilda felt herself grow weaker with want. She wanted to shake his despair away.
He had not told anyone that he actually felt like Sahara had died. He had never wanted to show that he ever would give up but…In a way…He had given up…
With blurry vision, Matilda stayed…She didn’t want to let go of her link there…
“What…What did you say?” Matthew asked, turning around to his son.
“I was just stating that perhaps we should go and once again ask both the Green and Blue Haven Emperor’s if they had seen my mother. Even the Purple Haven Emperor are good to us…”
A sob broke out from where she sat in Golden Haven.
Kin…Her beloved son still had hope!
Unable to stop herself, she once again patted Kin with spiritual essence, blurry vision and all!
“Father?”
Matthew had gone extremely quiet.
Not only was he thinking of what Kin had just said but…Much more in depth!
Once again, he thought of who could have done something like this…Who!?
And some of the words, even the writing…
How does he still remember my writing!? He had like a god memory or something!
But he was right, she had stated some ‘Sahara’ things in the letter…It wasn’t very revealing, but Matthew knew her, he knew how she had spoken…
Not only that, Matthew just felt like he knew…
The sudden change from his defeated thoughts from before were now changed to that of hope!
“Sahara? Come to me…”
Matilda wanted to go to them so badly!
She wanted to be with her family like she had never wanted anything else!
Perhaps she shouldn’t have stayed and just left the letters, never seeing their reaction or what they thought…Perhaps she should have just cruelly left them out of the Golden Emperor fiasco completely!
But no, she must have known deep down that she had wanted to see them, had wanted to watch and feel…And even now…She wanted more!
Blurry vision made things hard from her, as she knew she was crying but wasn’t in Golden Haven to see it…
“Come to me! Don’t make me wait any longer!” Matthew uttered.
Matilda took a deep breath and then teleported.
Being with her own eyes now, she whipped them, while sobbing.
She couldn’t see a thing…She whipped quickly, so that she could see!
In a swift and brief moment, she found herself being wrapped up in arms.
Putting her own arms around whomever was holding her she put her face against them and cried some more…
She knew then it that was Matthew.
Matthew…My Matthew…
Losing her strength in her legs, Matilda fell to the floor and found that Matthew came with her.
“Shh…”
His soft mumblings only made things worse! She knew that he was upset, that she had not come before him sooner. She knew that he was overwhelmed, but she couldn’t help feeling worse when all he did was try to console her.
Trying to suddenly look at him, whipping her eyes again, Matilda put her hands to his face. “It’s you…”
Matthew stared at her, she was then reminded upon her new look as he thought it, but then he smiled, “And it’s you.”
“Mother?”
Whipping her eyes again, Matilda nearly started to cry all over again, “Kin! Kin! I’m sorry I wasn’t here! I’m so sorry.”
No more could be heard as she sobbed again but put her arm out for her son to climb in them.
Now, on the floor, was a small woman surrounded by her two men, one being her son, the other her husband.
“Were you on the run?”
Matilda shook her head…
“Did someone make you lose your cultivation?”
Well, sort of…I mean, if you are dead, do you cultivate anymore?
Matthew pulled her away a bit, after getting no response from her. “What happened to you!?”
Should I tell him? But he will most likely want to kill him…
“Tell me! You owe me this!” Matthew implored her, shaking her slightly.
Touching both of their cheeks with both her hands, Matilda smiled. “It doesn’t matter anymore, I’m back.”
Matthew gred at her for a moment but couldn’t keep it. With almost a sob of his own, he brought her closer to him.
Never letting you go! Never!
Now patting both her men, Matilda finally felt a bit better. She had forgotten this feeling…Pieces of herself had been scattered but now, the puzzle was back together again…Home…
This was her home…
…How had she forgotten!? Why had she fought so much to detain this from happening? Why had she thought it was such a big deal!?
Once again, a silence fell on the three of them and it may have been a bit uncomfortable on the floor, but it didn’t matter! It was comfortable within!
Kissing Kin’s forehead, Matilda smiled at him, “You’re a man now!”
Kin looked at her and put her looks into consideration, so Matilda had to quickly state something before that went much further, “I looked different back when you were born…I didn’t have blonde hair and blue eyes like I do now.”
Kin went quiet and Matilda was reminded of her apprentice…
“Yes, why are you so different.”
Matilda sighed, “I was…I am here for a specific purpose! I wasn’t…”
“You weren’t going to show yourself to me!” Matthew stated, his voice clearly angry.
Matilda pulled away and looked at him, “…No, I wasn’t.”
She looked away then and closed her eyes.
“…What changed your mind?”
His gentle voice made her want to cry all over again.
Looking at him, she touched his face again and let out a noise, “Yeah, I’m really stupid aren’t I! Of course I’d want to be with you! I’m such an idiot for ever thinking that I could do it all without anyone knowing who I really was!”
Yeah…
Looking at him from the tops of her eyes, Matthew had troubles…She was…Different yet how could he already accept her new looks and want her so badly!?
“Kin, go to your quarters.” Matthew said, not looking away from Matilda.
Kin looked at his father like he was a mad man!
“Go! I will not say it again!” Matthew stated sternly.
Matilda turned to her son and smiled at him, “I will see you again, soon!”
Kin was unsure upon whether to trust her or not.
“I will, I promise!”
Matthew finally looked at his son, finally understanding him a little upon what he might be feeling, “I won’t let her go.”
Kin nodded at his father and left…
Matilda was a bit shocked, so quickly and…
Lips came crashing down on her and she found herself being pulled into another’s body even more.
“Matthew…”
She tried…She tried to get more than one word out for the next two minutes, but Matthew wouldn’t let her!
Finally, he stopped making her lips more swollen and started to kiss down her neck.
“I still don’t understand, my love…”
Feeling his finger wipe over her clothes in a particur area, Matilda cried out.
But just as she thought she would lose herself to his touch, even though they were still wearing clothes, a sudden feeling overcame her, and she looked at him in shock!
“Now you can’t leave me again…” Matthew stated. He wasn’t smiling, which only gave Matilda goosebumbs…
He had attempted to block her cultivation!
Well, attempted is the wrong word…He had achieved it!
Of course, Matilda would get the spiritual essence to unblock herself but…
Letting out a ugh, Matilda cuddled into him, “You are devious!”
“…I can’t live without you…”
Matilda put her forehead against his, “You were…”
Feeling him make her face look at him, she saw his despair and he shook his head. His eyes became watery, and he then hid himself…
Holding her tightly to him he refused to let her see his face for a while.
He was trembling slightly and so she stayed there, willingly…Stayed there and pat him, kissed him and told him that she was now here…
It was really unbelievable to him…He pinched himself and pinched her as well, just to make sure that she was real.
Matilda let out a yelp and hit him lightly, “I’m real ok!”
Then his lips were on hers again…Only this time they felt salty.
“I love you so much!”
“I know, I can feel it…” Matilda stated, but was stopped from further talk as he kissed her again.
He pulled back and looked at her, “Why are you different?”
Had he asked that before?
Matilda forgot what she had even said before!
Gaining her nerve, Matilda finally said, “I’m Matilda now. I got the spiritual essence to change me.”
“Are you going to change back?” Matthew asked.
Matilda looked down and shook her head.
“…Please…”
Tell me…
Looking up at him she kissed his cheeks, then his nose, “Are you really unable to let it go?”
“Why didn’t you come to me sooner?”
He’s getting very questionative!
“Are you sure you are ready to hear it?” Matilda asked him, looking at him dead in the face. “It’s not a nice story.”
Matthew flinched to hearing her say that but looked back at her and nodded. “I want to hear it.”
Matilda let out a small smile and sighed, “I did die…I was gone…”
Matthew let out a noise and hid his head again. He trembled all over again and Matilda once again pat him.
No…He hadn’t been ready…At least not ready to have heard that…
He had an idea, he had sorta felt it prior to today, but to hear it come for her lips herself!
Finally, Matthew moved and held her closer, tighter…Almost too tight!
“I’m sorry…I’m so sorry!” He stated, or pleaded…Or cried out…
Matilda moved some of his hair out of his face and kissed his forehead, “It’s not your fault…”
“I didn’t protect you!” Matthew growled out, “I am pathetic!”
“I don’t marry pathetic people!” Matilda stated in a more formal voice.
Matthew let out a small ugh and hugged her tightly, “I missed you so much!”
A silence once again entered the room and finally Matthew spoke again, “The spiritual essence helped you.”
Ah, the man is still got a bit of brains!
“Mmm, they want me to help them stop from condensing. They think it’s a lost cause.”
Feeling his hand creep in under her shirt and onto her back, Matilda eyed her man.
“When did you…” Going still with his hand, he stared back at her, unable to say more…
“Not long. Maybe a week…Not sure…”
Once again, his hand traveled higher, and Matilda arched.
“Sahara…”
In what felt like swift moves, her top was removed and then so was his.
Almost like it was the first time, Matilda touched him on his bare chest and saw that he flinched…
He hadn’t been with anyone…
That was why…
It was almost sad to how loyal he was for her…
But now, now that she had returned, she was gd…Which sort of made it sadder, as that was selfish of her. Shouldn’t she have wanted to see him happy?
All this time he hadn’t been happy…But surely if someone had come by that made him happy…
Matilda didn’t know though, she hadn’t gone through his time without her and so had no idea upon if he had passed by a certain future that might not have been in such despair as he was now…
There wasn’t time to think further though, as…
