The first blurb

Her eyes were the color of the earth that I loved so much. A deep brown with impenetrable depths that only grew darker the closer you looked. They spoke to me with every glare, squint, and wide expression; truly they were precious to me more than any jewel could ever be. Had I been given the chance I would have carved their very image into my own. However, it was for naught as I would come to realize that just as our hair withers with time so to do our eyes.

Eventually they lost the luster that I held so dear. Eventually they could see me no more. Eventually they closed for the last time. Eventually the very belief they ever existed would fade from my mind.

I cried for days at the realization that she would leave me. As she withered so would I. Returned to the ground that I once loved.

It lost the depth I once knew. It lost it’s unseen nature. It opened to me in warm embrace. It would never fade as long as I remained entombed.
