Okay, back to the story.
-----
Ash downs an entire bottle of water as he stands in front of the windows in Ozpin's office, with General Ironwood and Glynda arguing, while Ozpin just sits at his desk.
"They where here..." Ironwood then raises his voice. "Ozpin, they were here!" He angrily sms his fist against Opzin's desk, Ash ribs his temples.
"We're very much aware of that!" Glynda shouts at Ironwood. "Thank you, James."
"Fantastic! You're aware! Now are we going to do something about it or should we stay the course and continue to ignore what's right in front of us?!"
"You act like you've never been in a war!" Ash grumbles at Ironwood.
Ironwood gnces at the super soldier. "You have something to say, Lieutenant?"
Ash crushes the bottle of water in his hand as he gres at the general.
An alert sound pys, signifying that someone has arrived on the elevator.
"Come in." Ozpin calls out.
Ruby Rose steps out and into the room.
"Sorry it took so long." Ruby apologies as she nervously rubs her arm. "Someone accidentally hit all the buttons on the elevator on the way up here." She pauses for a few seconds. "It wasn't me."
Ash walks over to the side of Ozpin's desk, throwing the bottle in a hidden trash can under the desk.
"Thank you for coming, Ruby." Ozpin greets. "How are you feeling?"
"Okay, I guess. I'd feel better if my bad-guy-catching record wasn't O-for-three." Everyone stares silently at the young student. "Okay, so that's the tone we're going for, got it."
Ironwood walks over to Ruby. "Ruby, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did st night is exactly what being a Huntress is all about. You recognized a threat. You took action. And you did the very best you could."
"Thank you, sir."
Ironwood walks back to the other adults side.
Ozpin then speaks. "Now, the general here has already informed us of the vents that... transpired st night, but now that you've rested, we were wondering if you had anything to add."
"Was anyone else with her?" Glynda asks "Did she look familiar to you at all?"
"What was her weapon like?" Ash asks as he sits on the edge of Ozpin's desk.
"I... I don't know." Ruby admits. "She was wearing a mask, and she never said anything to me. But I know she fought with gss. I don't think that was her Sembnce, though. Her clothing lit up whenever she attacked."
Glynda hums in thought as she puts a hand on her chin. "Save for the gss, that sounds like the woman I fight the night we met Ruby." She gnces at Ash and Ozpin.
"Embedding Dust into clothing is an age-old technique." Ironwood states. "It could have been anyone."
"Wait. You think this girl is connected to Torchwick and the White Fang?" Ruby asks.
"It's possible." Ozpin says. "But we still ck the required evidence to link the two together."
Ruby thinks for a second, before a small smirk forms on her face. "Actually, I... I think I remember her saying something about a hideout, or something, in the southeast. Just outside the Kingdom."
"Interesting." Ozpin understands what Ruby's pnning, Ash raises an eyebrow as he stares at the girl.
Glynda steps forward. "I thought you said the intruder never-"
Yet Ozpin interrupts. "Thank you for your cooperation, Ruby. Why don't you go and spend some time with your team? You have a big day ahead of you."
Ruby starts to leave. "Any time."
"And Miss Rose, please try and be... discreet about this matter."
Ruby nods. "Yes sir."
Ruby leaves the office and Ironwood immediately speaks up as he walks behind Ozpin's desk, where Glynda and Ash stand.
"Well there we have it. We send as many troops as we can to the southeast, find out exactly what's going on, and eradicate any forces that stand in our way.
Glynda growls in frustration. "Why must your answer to everything involve a triumphant dispy of military bravado?! You treat every situation like it's a contest of measure di--!"
"Sweety!" Ash puts a hand on her shoulder.
"Well, he does."
Ozpin spins around in his chair. "She's right. As much as I too would love to end this situation once and for all, we must remember that this may go beyond Vale. Beyond Beacon. And if this truly is part of some master pn for which we know not the final move, we mustn't be so bold. Nor can we risk the spread of panic."
Ironwood turns to Ozpin. "I have served you faithfully for years... but if you mean to tell me that your pn is to really hold the defenses, and wait--!"
Ozpin abruptly stands from his chair. "it is not! You're a general, James. So, tell me, when you prepare to go to war, which do you send in first? The fg bearers, or the scouts?"
Ironwood pinches the bridge of his nose and sighs. "Okay, we'll do it your way."
Ash scoffs. "You're in Vale, you have to do it his way."
Ironwood scowls at Ash, but Ozpin holds up a hand between the two. "But as of now, we do have a much more pressing matter."
"Which is?" Ironwood asks.
Ash slips his scroll out of his pocket and taps a few buttons, before sliding it on the desk. Glynda and Ironwood look at the scroll and see a picture of Wolf standing below a security camera, with her Grimm mask on and looking up at it.
"Is that...?" Glynda mutters.
"She's still alive?!" Ironwood says in disbelief. "I thought-"
Ash rolls his eye. "You really think we can kill her so easily, General? Wolf is the definition of a Good Soldier. She much more powerful then you give her credit, as if she's super natural."
"The report said-"
Ash loudly ughs, which causes Ironwood to quiet down. "Don't you understand, James! She's literally the best soldier the world has to offer. You really think someone, who was trained by Wolf, could take her down? Calico never stood a chance to kill Is. You should know how good she is, you've known her since you two were kids... Yet you tried to kill her."
Ironwood doesn't respond and just fixes his tie. Glynda gnces between her Husband and the General as the two gre at each other.
Ozpin breaks the tension. "We are currently investigating her presence. And if she's involved with the White Fang situation, we'll get all the help we need. But as of now, we can only investigate."
Ironwood starts to walk away. "You better figure this out, Ozpin. She's too dangerous to be left alive." He steps into the elevator.
"That's what you think." Ash mutters as he watches the General disappear.
Down in team AMBR's Byzan is still asleep as Ambré tries to wake him up. Maize is cleaning their study desk while Rose gres at her as she brushes her white hair.
"Byzan, it's time to wake up." Ambré crosses her arms.
Byzan groans and hides under his sheets. "No....."
Ambré reaches out to Byzan. "Byzan-" He swats at her a couple times, making her sigh. "Damn it, Byzan!"
Ambré grabs the bottom of Byzan's bed and flips it onto its side. The cat groans and then yawns and stretches out, in a cat-like way. Maize looks over to Byzan and sees his curvy ass in the air as he slightly wiggles it, making her blush and look away.
Rose walks over to check on Byzan, only for a little blood to fall down her nose as she gets a near face full of Byzan's rear.
Byzan then sits up and rubs his eyes. "Why, it's so early."
Ambré taps her foot on the ground, annoyed. "We slept in an extra hour, but now its time to get up and get ready for our mission."
Byzan whines and slumps his shoulders, his oversized shirt slightly falling down his shoulders. "But I'm so tired!"
"How?!" Ambré throws her arms up. "We had like nine hours of sleep!"
Maize then speaks up. "Well, cats do sleep around 12-18 hours a day."
"He's a Faunus, not a cat."
"Still, most of regur cat behaviors do transfer to Cat Faunus."
"That expins the water." Rose mutters as she wipes her nose with a tissue.
Ambré flips Byzan's bed back over and throws his bnkets on top of it. She then grabs Byzan's sides and sets him on his feet, and points to the bathroom. "Now, get ready!" She shoves his clothes onto his chest.
Byzan whines as his cat ears droop and he shuffles into the bathroom.
Ambré sighs and rubs her temples. "Gods, sometimes he gets on my nerves."
Maize and Rose both gnce at their team leader with a raised brow.
"What?" Ambré asks in confusion.
"Nothing." They respond and go back to what they were doing earlier.
In the bathroom Byzan finishes putting on his clothes and he brushes his bck hair. But then he sets it down and pinches his stomach.
"I think I've been putting on weight..." Byzan sighs. "Well, I haven't eaten this well in about five years I guess." He then pinches his thicc thighs. "And it seems to also be going to my thighs."
Byzan giggles to himself.
"Perfect."
Byzan licks his lips and winks at himself in the mirror... He then blushes slightly.
"Damn..."
Byzan goes to leave the bathroom, but he notices a bottle of dark purple lipstick on the counter. He swiftly zooms over to it and grabs it.
"Perfect~"
Outside the bathroom Ambré stretches her arms out, flexing her rge muscles as she does. She then does a downward stretch and lets out a moan.
"AH~ There we go..." Ambré sighs in relief.
the bathroom does opens and Byzan exits, wearing his regur outfit, but with dark purple lipstick on.
Ambré stares at Byzan, before pointing at his mouth. "Is that my lipstick?"
"Well, you weren't using it, so I thought I would." Byzan leans forward. "Don't I look good~"
"...No."
Byzan chuckles and blows a kiss towards Ambré, who remains unfazed as a heart bubble pops on her face from the kiss. But Maize grows a rge blush, and Rose gains another nose bleed.
"Let's go." Ambré heads out of the room and Byzan follows her with a confident stride.
"Oh..." Both Maize and Rose shiver slightly, before Rose gres at Maize.
Half an hour ter the team arrives at the amphitheater, all with their weapons on their backs. Byzan looks around and notices Ruby, with a rge backpack on, waving towards him with a rge smile.
Byzan smiles back and gives her a wave.
"Quiet!" Glynda shouts. "Quiet please. Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin."
Ozpin walks up to the microphone as Glynda walks off stage. "Today we stand together, united. Mistral. Ats. Vacuo. Vale. The four Kingdoms of Remnant. On this day, nearly eighty years ago, the rgest war in recorded history came to an end. It was a war of ignorance, of greed, and of oppression.
A war that was about much more than where borders fell or who traded with whom, but about the very idea of individualism itself. We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression. And as you are well aware, that was something many could not stand for.
As a result, those who opposed this tyranny began naming their children after one of the core aspects of art itself: color. It was their way to demonstrate that not only would they refuse to tolerate this oppression, but neither were the generations to come. And it was a trend that is held to this very day.
We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united. But this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it."
White boards start to rise at the edges of the room as Ozpin continues.
"As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsman or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the Kingdom for several days.Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best."
Ozpin steps away as the students all begin to file out of the amphitheater.
"Well, let's pick a mission." Ambré leads her team over to a board.
"Oh, let's do a Grimm hunt!" Byzan suggests.
"That seems a little scary, why not just help the police." Rose suggests.
"I'd think it'd be best to stay near Vale, with how team RWBY will be trying to find the White Fang hideout." Maize suggests.
"Man, I wanted to leave Vale for a little bit." Byzan deftes.
Ambré taps on a Grimm hunt mission. "I think we are due for a good Grimm extermination." She types her teams name in, but a message pops up.
Team Has Already Been Selected For A Mission
"Huh?" The Team questions.
"Well, I'm sorry Team AMBR." Professor Ash is heard behind them.
The team turns around to spot Professor Ash walking towards them.
Ash is wearing a crimson metal armor suit simir to his sisters. He has a red ōdachi on his back.
"But Professor Ozpin has other pns for you four." Ash smiles at the team.
Both Ambré and Rose smile in happiness, Maize looks rather intrigued, but Byzan is devastated.
"...Why?" Byzan's ears fold down.
