E-Naeurl, Re-Estize Kingdom (POV 3rd)Amanomahitotsu essentially ran the armored men over like a truck as he ran out of the alleyway, all bloodied and covered in gore. One of them had gotten stuck in between one of the ptes of armor that formed his carapace-his new name for his new armored body- and was screaming as he dragged him along the street, leaving bloody marks.
He stopped momentarily to untangle the poor guy from his carapace, setting the bloody man aside before gently patting him on the shoulder to reassure him that things would be okay before he continued to run.
Amanomahitotsu caught a few glimpses of himself in the gssware that made up the storefronts of many shops. He was right! He looked like a humanoid crab covered in thick armor ptes, although he did look goofy when he ran with his comparatively thin legs. His confusion deepened as he realized he looked very simir to his old YGGDRASIL character, a [Karkinosian] if he remembered correctly. Speaking of memory, he felt that his mind was sharper than before. He felt faster and stronger than when he had just woken up, and he could now recall details of forging weapons and the impurities of the town's many metallic objects.
Looking ahead, many soldiers had formed a shield wall to stop him. Bunching up the muscle in his thin legs, he jumped and soared over them . . . and onto some poor guy wearing more opulent armor than the rest. He barely had time to scream as Amanomahitotsu nded on his shoulders and folded him in half like a piece of paper, the bones of the officer crunching as he did so.
Strangely, the Karkinosian didn't feel disturbed at the sight of the now-dead man, unlike the many soldiers behind him who vomited at the sight of their superior's corpse. No matter, Amanomahitotsu stumbled on his nding and rolled into a store, crashing through its wall and nding in a heap on the floor.
He rolled onto his stomach and pushed himself up, seeing that the men who had previously formed the shield wall were only a few meters away from him and were closing fast!
Amanomahitotsu turned and bolted through the wall, it crumbling quickly under his strength. He was getting more convinced that he was his YGGDRASIL character; there were too many coincidences for it not to be.
But how? How does one get transported into their video game character?
The pyer was interrupted when he was bsted by a bolt of electricity, sending him tumbling again. It didn't hurt, but it allowed the guards to catch up with him as he recovered from his fall. They began to surround him, trying to cut off all his escape routes; he didn't want to hurt anyone else.
Looking up, he saw someone wearing an [Armor of Rienfrocement]; this one was retively low-quality, only boosting the wearer's stats equivalent to a level 50 [Ranger]. One of the suit's shoulder-mounted wings folded upwards, and a spell began to charge.
Amanomahitotsu wanted to run, but he needed to test something first. If he was his YGGDRASIL character, then he should be able to tank this shot.
(POV 3rd: Azuth)
Azuth was surprised that the creature didn't try to dodge his attack. He watched as the [Dragon Lightning] spell burst forth from his shoulder uncher and smmed into the monster's chest, sending dust and debris into the air.
The Adamantite pte adventure smiled under his suit as he could hear the coughing on the soldiers down below, not that he found glee with their dilemma, but rather it confirmed that the [5th Tier] spell worked with its intended effect.
'I've got to make sure it's dead. Job first, pleasure ter.' the adventurer reminded himself as he activated his suit's [Scan] function.
Could this creature be one of the Sorcerer King's weapons? It certainly would expin how it appeared randomly in the city. But it carried no markings and wasn't undead, so it could be possible that its appearance coincidentally coincided with the Sorcerer Kingdom assault on E-Naeurl.
However, you don't get to be an Adamantite css adventurer without some wisdom and common sense. Azuth knew that coincidences were very rare. His eyes widened as his [Scan] detected that this creature was alive and had just thrown something at him.
He barely had time to dodge before a piece of rubble was unched at him through the dust, clipping his shoulder. Checking his suit's integrity, the damage was minimal.
Maybe he should try to talk to it?
He chuckled to himself. That was a hirious thought. Talking to a monster? He'd probably get ripped to shreds before he could get out a "Hello."
"That wasn't nice," A voice that could only be described as "creaky" said.
Azuth's eyes opened even further. It could talk?!
"Now that you've gotten all that aggression out - Can you please point me to the exit?" the creature continued. For the first time in years, he felt fear of something other than the Ptinum Dragon Lord. The monster looked directly at him, its eyes boring a hole through his skull.
It was pissed.
The adventurer clutched his machine gun tighter, "Monster." he mumbled.
"I would like to set the record straight-I'm not a monster! I prefer the term: Heteromorph."
Azuth's heart skipped a beat. Intelligent monsters were rare but extremely powerful. He knew that the Sne Theocracy actively hunted them using their Scriptures, their special operations groups. If this one evaded extermination for so long, it must be extremely smart or powerful. It appeared that it may be both due to its ability to hear him mumble from so far away.
'It seems willing to talk'
Cleaning his throat, he said, "I apologize for any offense I may have caused." The suit's voice modutor scrambled his voice to make it sound more menacing. "You appeared in this city at an unfortunate time. We assumed that you were one of its attackers. I apologize on behalf of the guard." He flew lower and hovered 5 meters above the ground as a sign of trust.
The creature paused, thinking, " I should also apologize. I was unaware of what the city was going through, and I must admit that I was clumsy with how I moved about the city, destroying many things by accident."
Azuth narrowed his eyes, "If I may ask, Why are you here?"
"You see, I appeared to have gotten lost on my travels."
"Travels?" Azuth questioned, suspicion in his voice. He looked at the previously incapacitated guards, now attempting to fnk the creature.
It cpped its two frontal hands together, "Yes! Travels! I'm a traveling merchant who has journeyed worldwide to sell my wares."
This creature kept getting stranger and stranger, "If you are a merchant, then where do you hail from? Where are your wares?"
The "heteromorph" suddenly materialized a bde made of adamantium in his hands. "Trade Secret," it said smugly, or that was how Azuth perceived its response. Blinded by greed and a hint of curiosity, the adventurer nded and snatched the bde from its hands. This bde was a work of art!
(POV Amanomahitotsu)
I was so gd that I managed to figure out how to access my inventory while I distracted the suit user. I had forgotten how much random crap I had on me before I left YGGDRASIL, and I was even more gd that I only gave my usual gear to Momonga. I, like my guild master, was a loot hoarder, although not as much as Momonga, as he spent a lot of money on buying the "infinite pocket space." As the name suggests, it gives the owner infinite inventory space, a hoarder's dream.
Nevertheless, the bde I pulled was one of the random weapons I had made to gain the [Master Bcksmith] css. It allowed me to reroll the stats and rarity tier of all the items I constructed up to three times. It helped me make some of the best gear in the game!
I let the suit user grab the adamantium bde, which was only [Legacy] Tier, and admire it. I could tell he was amazed by the mid-tier bde, which hopefully would allow me to settle this misunderstanding peacefully.
"As my apology, I could give you some of the gear I have in stock free of charge!"
The suit user stabbed the bde into the ground, it easily plunging into the stone, before offering a handshake.
"I supposed there's no need to fight anymore. I'm Azuth." The helmet opened up. Inside was a middle-aged blonde man with a magician's beard. Despite his horrible taste in beards, the man was now retively friendly, although Amanomahitotsu could tell that Azuth still didn't trust him.
Shaking the man's hand, trying to be as gentle as possible, he returned the greeting, "I'm Amanomahitotsu. Once again, I apologize for all the destruction I have caused. I am willing to pay for all of the damages and compensate the families of the men I have injured."
Azuth was taken by surprise. "I suppose that wouldn't hurt," he said, smiling. "Why don't we find somewhere more comfortable to talk?"
I could tell he was looking behind me, most likely at the guards who had previously surrounded me—the same guards who were probably poised to strike me if Azuth failed.
"I would love that!" was my response.
