School Pt.3

Classes passed like the flickering lights of a firefly In the cold night. Grand was chatting with Thea in the dining hall, listening to her. "My dad is on a trip again and I can't see him and my mom won't be around as she has a job to do too, so now I am all alone in my house."

Grand raised an eyebrow, the subject she brought up was quite...believable, honestly his parents sometimes do leave for business too, though he did not know what type of business but he was sure it was related to art.

Grand smiled at Thea. "Oh, are you inviting me to your house."

Thea pouted with a slight blush to her face. "It's not like that!!, I was just telling you...But that also isn't a bad idea."

Grand tilted his head slightly. "I mean I wouldn't really mind, but two teenagers being left alone could lead to disastrous scenarios, you never know what might happen–actually a lot of things can happen so I can't go, well not in the night but I can come on the weekends."

Thea blinked at him, mouth slightly open in disbelief, then laughed, swatting his arm lightly. "You're such a weirdo, you know that? You make it sound like you're some kind of protagonist in a drama or something."

Grand shrugged, his lips twitching into a crooked smile. "Aren't we all? Life’s just a badly drawn manga sometimes. Filled with clichés, awkward moments, and messy character arcs."

Thea leaned her chin into her hand, staring at him with a curious glint in her eyes. “You say weird things but somehow… they always sound cool coming from you. Even if they’re totally dumb.”

“Thanks?” Grand replied, unsure if it was a compliment or a gentle roast.

She giggled again, then looked down at the half-eaten sandwich on her tray. Her fingers toyed with the crust absentmindedly. “But seriously… I kinda don’t like being alone. It’s too quiet in that house when no one’s around. Makes me think too much. It’s stupid, but… I start imagining weird things.”

Grand’s gaze flicked to her for a moment, then back to his tray. "What kinds of things do you 'imagine'."

Grand...was worried, you don't 'Imagine' weird things, you 'hallucinate' there's a difference between those two.

Imagination is the act of willfully creating an object that can only be seen and described by you. It is the wilful use of the mind to envoke creativity.

Hallucinations is when the human minds starts to slowly fall into a state of fear and madness where you unintentionally fabricate nightmares.

Thea hesitated. "Well...I just feel the walls closing in on me, the lights flickering as the darkness slowly spreads around me...then I wake up to find everyone normal again."

Grand knew the problem...she was scared of her own home?. He grumbled and felt he had to cancel some plans today. "I guess I'll follow you home today, after I change to my normal clothes back at home."

Thea was stunned by his proclamation, though he still had that gloomy look, the smile on his face still made her heart flutter. "I-I don't know what to say now."

Grand didn't reply but he knew she wouldn't mind that, he could feel her joy slowly increasing to the point he could somehow taste it. Though metaphysically.

Pinnel who was struggling to find where to seat saw Grand and her eyes sparkled, there were only two people sitting at the table so she went over.

Velev and Eta followed her but they did not hold a tray as food is not necessary for their kind.

When Pinnel arrived Grand glanced at her for a moment before waving. "Hello, how are you enjoying Saint High."

Pinnel smiled as she kept the tray on the desk and sat. "It's an interesting place, nice to meet you again."

The other two sat beside her and Grand frowned as he felt a strange energy on them, it felt as the two only corresponding to one colour of the emotions. "Sure, why did you sit here?, me and Thea aren't alone because we don't really like too much people bothering us."

Pinnel continued smiling. "Well...you are the first person I met yesterday and you seemed nice."

Thea who was listening to their conversation couldn't help but feel something twisting deep within her 'heart'. "Uhh, you know the new students?."

"No, not really, I met Pinnel when i returned home last night, she was asking for directions." Grand casually said as he finished eating his sandwiches.

Thea let out a small breath. "So you're neighbours now?."

  Grand nodded.

Eta who was currently observing the flow of Inetia in Grand suddenly froze. Why did a human have Inetia, she glanced at Velev who only smiled.

Eta frowned, her orb glowed and a small crack appeared and from thay crack small bluish arms continously came out and then moved outside, slowly and Invisibly attached to Velev's orb.

[Eta:So...seeing your smile it seems you don't want me sealing him...why?.]

[Velev:Why should we seal him?, he isn't a corrupted nor can he actually use Inetia, at most he can see the flow of it moving through emotions and body.]

[Eta:You do realise Inetia is something that reveals the truest being of a person...right and you do realise only our race is sensitive to such things and the order given by the Great Blue to me was to Seal any being that can use it except for us.]

[Velev:...You have no right to do that..Eta, so I would advise you not to make a move, you don't want to harm the Princess do you?]

  *CRACK*

Another crack appeared on Eta's Orb.

《Don't Say such things you inferior?!!》

Velev rolled his eyes, his orb opened up and different shades of green coloured light dispersed the blue arms.

[That May be so...but...I have no reason to fight you at the moment Eta, I am a loyal follower of the Princess and I will remain so and as a follower it is right to make sure nothing ruins her vacation and if that means shattering you...%I wouldn't mind actually]

Eta glared at Velev and he merely smiled at her.

But what they do not realize was they were being observed by someone, in the world of black and white, Grand saw a battle between blue and green.

Slowly, he returned back to normal vision and immediately hid the slight discomfort he trained when he witnessed it.

He tapped his fingers on the table.
