It hasn't even been a week, and I'm already fighting against the natives like a genocidal colonist...
...Am I a bad guy?
*Whoosh!* Oh well, I can't be thinking about something like that while dodging spears can I?
When I shot the first stone at the biggest of these strange beings I thought they would scatter, and run away before coming back with others in an attempt to kill me, not jump from step one directly to step two.
I pick another stone from my belt and aim, shooting at the first spear-wielding bastard I see (Not Purple, of course, she's right behind me throwing her needles at them.) The stone I've shot flies through the air towards one of the wide-eyed creatures.
Just when it reaches near it, a spear is accurately thrown into the stone by one of the smallest beings in the group, making it veer off course, while the thrown spear is hurriedly picked in the air by my target and thrown at my Purple friend.
My friend, seeing the spear flying towards her dives in my direction, dodging the spear but also making me lose my aim and miss completely another stone.
'Sigh, I wish I had a rifle or my bow, using stones isn't nearly as effective as shooting a piece of wood with a sharp metal end.' I think to myself while pushing my friend off me, the horned bastards keep throwing stones and spears at us so at least I have enough options to use against them.
Amidst the rain of spears and stones, I see one of the thieves 'walk' towards the bigger one before searching for something in a small pouch at its waist.
From the small pouch comes a small stone painted with a big red X.
The small-horned thief looks at me and soon starts running in my direction, one arm holding the red stone while the other is used as a shield to its face.
The other thieves, seeing their companion running at me and my friend, start backing away hurriedly, sometimes blindly throwing a stone or two.
My friend tries to throw one of her needles at it but is stunned by a stone hitting her in the head. (Once again, why does everything in this world always aim at the head?)
...Focusing back at the bastard running at us I take one of the stones in the ground and shoot it using the slingshot at its leg.
*Bang!* The stone hits its mark making the poor bastard fall face-first to the ground, releasing the small red stone in its hand, which is soon followed by a damned explosion turning it into gory bits scattered around...
...Yeah, forget the fmethrower, for now, I'm focusing on making an assault rifle to use against these bastards specifically.
The remaining strange monkeys start fleeing in fear after witnessing their companion being turned into a red mist.
"...Well, that was way more problematic than necessary huh?" I say while looking at my silent friend, who nods at me in response...
...Maybe it is learning the meaning of what I say the longer we stay together? Nah, very unlikely, maybe it is just smarter than I first thought.
Seeing the clear horizon I rush toward the wasp drone, as long as it is still capable of sending and receiving signals I should be able to connect it to the ship to get some REAL equipment, I'm not looking towards fighting explosive-wielding maniacs with stones.
The drone, feeling the familiar material of my vest stops its useless self-defense and instead gets up and wobbly walks towards me.
I pick up the drone and start analyzing the damage it sustained before looking up at my friend. "Well, that's good, you want the good or the bad news first bud?" I ask my friend who's gathering any spears and stones that she's able to find.
Hearing my question she stops for a second before lifting her left arm. "Bad news first?" I get a nod. "Well, the bad news is that somehow those scavengers stole the container I needed to complete my task." I say while checking the drone in my hands, looking for anything else that may be missing.
Thankfully, it seems that they only got the container and nothing else from it.
My friend lifts her right arm. "Good news?" Another nod. "Well, if I'm able to reach a tall spot I must be capable of sending a signal back to the pce I come from, with that they should either send better equipment or a good batch of materials through a drop-pod." I say while securing the drone on my back, this time, I'm not losing it.
My friend stops gathering before coming near me and pointing up.
"It's gonna rain already?" I ask Purple who gives me a nod. "Hey, how long does it take for the rain to stop?" I ask my friend while picking up the items she has gathered from the battlefield, she starts looking around before looking at me and rising shrugging her arms.
Along with a rge amount of stones, she also got five whole spears, six, if you count the shards of a broken one.
I hurriedly started cutting the spears with my Omni-tool to make them fit in my bag along with the stones before looking up, at the dark clouds that are starting to cover even the sunlight.
Purple starts walking and I soon start following her, hoping that wherever she's walking is safe enough for us to stay while it rains.
...
We're able to reach a 'safe pce' just as the rain starts and I must say—Why is so strong?! Where does the necessary water for such a torrent even come from?! I'm quite certain that I saw a lizard get turned into a pancake when it got stronger!
Well, at least it was a lizard and not another slugcat like me, or purple...
...Did the people who made me use DNA from this pnet or was it a simple cosmic coincidence?
I find a small spot to y in the safe room we are in and get ready to sleep, ying all my equipment in a small dry spot before gathering a small bunch of moss to use as a pillow and bnket.
Before slipping into the dream realm I see my purple friend getting near me with her eyes half open.
"Good Night buddy" is all I can say before sleeping, hopefully until the rain stops.
...
(A/N: Yup, that's it for this chapter, this one is slightly shorter because I couldn't wrap my head on how to make it good enough.)
(Once again, if you find any grammatical mistake tell me so that I may fix it.)
