I watched as the Reds had dragged out some ragged men and women of different Anthro races. They were arranging the prisoners in a circle, dumping them down, kicking them until they shut up. I had seen things like this before this wasn’t going to end well for the scavengers.
I leaned up to Uwu and whispered urgently, “We need to do something, now.”
He nodded, back, “Echo, sneak up behind the metro station, get as close as you can. Vixie,” He pced his hand on my arm, “Back him up, does your cloaking still work?”
I nodded back, “It may be a bit glitchy, just don’t let me get butchered by these losers.”
Uwu turned to Noodle and Ash, “Gear up. We’ll use cover fire to take them out. There may be more inside. Be careful everyone. Try and keep the scavs alive. They’re our ticket into the prison.”
Noodle looked worried as she pulled out her submachine gun. This was her chance to get to see her parents again, if they were even alive. She wouldn’t do anything to jeopardized this moment.
I took off with Echo, moving around the back of the metro station, getting as close as I could before activating my cloaking. I would be lying if I wasn’t worried about my cloak dying off as I gto close to the Reds. The suit was still a bit finicky.
I stopped behind a dumpster covered in frost. Echo pointed up to the roof and waved me forward. I heard a whoosh and he disappeared up over the edge. I slowly edged up to the building, whispering “Ghost.” My suit went transparent, save for my vest. I carefully stripped the vest, wishing it was also going invisible. After all this, I would dump my paycheck into decking the thing out, but for now, I needed to rely on my stealth skills.
I crept around the building, my hand close to my knife as I closed in on the group of Reds surrounding the scavs. There were Anthro-Cats, Dogs, a Rat, and a few humans among their ranks, all wearing red skirts with red mohawks shaved and dyed into their heads.
My feet carefully dodged the rubble about as I took a gnce inside the metro station. There was a dozen or so outside, and another dozen inside. Whoever these guys were, they had some numbers on their side. To bad that they were on the wrong side.
I looked over to Uwu’s overwatch position, waiting for his signal. I could see him crouched by some rubble, barely visible to the eye.
My coms crackled slightly, “Alright, it’s a go.” Boom. His rifle popped off and one of the Reds dropped. They all flinched and began to run for cover. Boom. Boom. Another two dropped. As they pulled out some weapons of their own. These guys weren’t as primitive as the others at the cannibal feast. These guys were packing some heat.
They returned fire in the direction of the sound. Pummeling the rubble and buildings, firing at random windows, shouting at each other for some sort of visual.
Ratatatatata. Noodle’s submachine gun opened fire from elsewhere, peppering the rest of them with fire. Some dropped, screaming in pain, others just fell into the snowcapped ground. The rest of the crew began to emerge from the building, firing out into the ndscape. This was my cue.
As they group ran by, unaware of the invisible, sexy chick beside them, I whipped out my pistols, full auto, and sprayed them down until my guns ccked empty. Blood misted in the cold air, freezing before it hit the ground. They screamed and yelped as they dropped, getting blown away. Muzzle fshes lit up my invisible body.
The few remaining stragglers turned to fire at me. A certain Anthro-Bat didn’t let them. His shotguns tore them apart until a deafening silence overtook the air. Just the sounds of whimpering were left. It was a sad sight. All the blood staining them even more red. At this point in the war, if you weren’t with us, you’re against us.
The remaining scavs stood slowly, looking around the carnage, wide eyed and confused. My suit started to glitch out and the invisibility went with it. I aimed my guns at the scavs, not letting them to get the chance of grabbing a weapon.
A comforting whoosh sounded out behind me with a solid crunch. Echo held his twin shotguns at the ready. I gestured at the metro, “If I was you, I’d get my ass inside before more of them show up.” A gave a half-hearted smile as the scavs took off inside the metro station. I followed them in with Echo at my back.
It was as cold in here as it was outside, but the nagging breeze was gone for once. I gnced around the sad group, waiting for someone to speak up.
“Who’s in charge here? Hmm?” Just silence.
“I’ll ask once more.” I looked around the frozen group, nding my gaze on an older Anthro-Badger. “You.” I pointed with my gun to get the point across. “Who’s in charge here?”
He coughed and stuttered, “It was Mialphas, but the freaks gutted him on their attack.”
“And is the shipment to the prison still on?” I rose an eyebrow, shaking my gun.
He stammered again, “Uh, yes, I guess.”
“Great!” I smiled at him, holstering my pistol. “Then it looks like you’re the guys that are going to get us into that prison, whether you like it or not.”
The man gulped hard. I could hear the sound of Uwu, Noodle, and Ash coming in.
Ash stepped forward, clinging to her pistol with white knuckles. “Oh, Sergio, where is Mailphas? He owes me a cup of coffee.” Her smiled faded as she saw the bodies of more scavs inside, stripped of their goods. “Oh.” She whispered.
Uwu stepped forwards, gazing at the crates all about the metro entrance, “This stuff going to the prison.” Sergio nodded. “Then it looks like we are too, and seeing as we just saved your lives, you owe us a solid.” He grinned devilishly. “So, let’s get loading up!”
