Hey Diary,
According to the map, we should get to Stoneford tomorrow. Our plan is to only stop for as long as it takes to tell everyone what’s up, but that might take a day or two.
Maeve said it was best to not tell anyone in the towns about the earthquakes. She said someone will be through here within a week to tell everyone about it, and they'll be more official. It’ll go better than if a group of teenagers just rolled through yelling about doom.
Maki pointed out that people who own animals will probably figure out that the earthquakes are regularly scaring those animals, and will try to find some way of calming them even before the official report gets here. And yeah, a good farm or pet owner would do that. But there's still all the wild animals to worry about.
Luke was kinda worried when I asked if it was possible to make my charm magic cover the whole country. Which, in retrospect, makes sense. It is kinda a suspicious question. I explained what I wanted to do, with all the wild animals, and he said that would require like Level 600 charm magic.
My charm magic is currently at Level 47, so I guess I need to try something else.
Well, there are runes that amplify magic. Not 543 levels, but there’s one that can boost it like 100 levels, or so I heard, so if I just got six of those… They are restricted, tho. But I have a permit to use charm magic, so I should be trusted with a big level booster, right?
463 levels. No, 553. I don't know math. I talk to animals, and let the person whose class is about doing math do all the math.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
I mean, at least I got the 3 right…
Luke has a book of all the runes. I don't want to bother him, so maybe I could borrow it for an hour tonight and copy the power-amplification rune onto a piece of paper here. Then I could buy a fancy stone with my money that I’ll get in Stoneford and copy it onto that, and see if I can trick the System into thinking I have Level 147 charm magic.
I wonder if it would boost my lightning magic, too. Or only my lightning magic.
Right.
I'll just wait until Luke is asleep and borrow his book for a little bit.
Signing off,
Cali

The Watcher sighed in annoyance, watching.
Jasmine, her Chosen from Broccoli, had only told her parents. The fairy’s parents were very impressed by her gold magic, and didn't believe her about the earthquakes at all. She didn't need help, she needed to be fired. Bonnie would have to call up a dozen people to mitigate Jasmine’s inaction.
Meanwhile, Jeff was turning himself into some kind of messiah. Bonnie was pretty sure he was going to own Raddish before he turned twenty-five. But hey, at least everyone in that country was preparing for the apocalypse.
Taz and Kate were doing fine in their countries, but they might need a little help. Bonnie had her eye on a few potential Chosens from those places, and would call them up soon.
Bonnie had given Echo a copy of Cali’s geo report, and it was being circulated by the people in Bestest who dealt with that kind of thing.
Luke and Maeve, mostly Maeve, were doing an excellent job of letting everyone in Owonyan know what was happening. Other than Raddish, Owonyan was setting up to be the most prepared country. Given it was a collection of city-states with independent kobold towns sprinkled throughout, that was impressive.
Goddess Bonnie watched Jasmine stand frozen in front of a church and sighed again. That poor little fairy…
