I looked down the hill at the golden figure patrolling the fields ahead of me.
I rang the spirit calling bell and summoned my three wolves. Each one howled and got into formation around me, as if they could feel the impending battle. The Tree Sentinel turned and approached us.
I held my Finger Seal and channeled the fmes of the erdtree. I lobbed a sphere of fme towards the Tree Sentinel, only to watch the fmes sptter against the ground in front of it. The Tree Sentinel paused for a moment, as if wondering if that was just incompetence or if it was some kind of ploy. Then it charged forwards.
My wolves ran to meet and surround the Tree Sentinel. I followed and brought my sword up and struck the Tree Sentinel with a long sweep.
Only to recoil in pain as a rge golden halberd strikes across my armored chest, sending me flying a few feet back. I could feel the pain despite my armor. I had lost almost half my HP, though instead of feeling like I've been split apart, I felt like I was very badly bruised.
Getting up off the ground, my wolves leapt and struck and bit at the Tree Sentinel. Each attack delt noticeable damage, though not enough to be capable of killing the Tree Sentinel. I grabbed my Wonderous Physick, which I had filled with the Crimson Crystal Tear and the Greenspill Crystal Tear, and I drank it. My health restored, and my maximum stamina increased.
I turned back to the battle just in time to witness the Tree Sentinel rear up and strike one of my wolves. A single attack and my first wolf died.
With a roar I rushed forwards and struck the Tree Sentinel along its back. I managed another attack before I had to dodge to the right as a rge golden halberd passed through the pce I was standing just a moment ago. The Tree Sentinel then lunged to the side and attempted to stab me with the spiked tip of the halberd, an attack that I quickly rolled backwards to dodge. I then lunged forwards and stabbed the Tree Sentinel, my wolves then made another series of attacks, drawing the Sentinel's attention.
The Tree Sentinel lunged to its other side, smashing its shield into one of my wolves bringing it down to low health. The Sentinel then ran around the battlefield and stabbed the same wolf, killing it. I rushed forwards and made an overhead strike against the Tree Sentinel.
The Tree Sentinel then jumped into the air and came crashing down. I felt a shockwave rush through me, pain filling my being as I watched my health drop tremendously.
I looked over to see my final wolf dissipating as the magic holding the spirits physical form lost cohesion and the wolf died. The Tree Sentinel turned towards me, and I could almost see a look of derision in its eyes through the golden helmet it wore.
The Sentinel moved to make another swing with its halberd. I rolled away and ducked through the nearby trees for cover, taking a moment to drink from my fsk of crimson tears. I then screamed in pain as the sharp tip of a golden halberd speared through my left shoulder. I ducked and rolled through the trees, my sixth sense showing me how the Tree Sentinel simply knocked the nearby trees over in its attempts to strike me.
I drank from my fsk one st time. And turned to face the Sentinel.
I struck the Sentinel one st time as the Sentinel struck me in my right shoulder, and again on a returning strike. I felt the golden halberd cleave through my lungs and my heart slowly stopped beating. My vision grew dark as I watched the Tree Sentinel turn and continue its patrol.
"?? ?? ??! ????????! ??!"(???)
I awoke to the feeling of rain as small drops of water fell onto my face.
Ugh... Round two then?
I got up from the ground by the grace at the First Step and turned towards the Tree Sentinel who was patrolling below once more.
I walked down the hill and rang my spirit calling bell. My three wolves taking position for the battle.
As the Tree Sentinel approached, I brought out my glintstone staff and cast Glintstone Pebble three times. On the st cast the Tree Sentinel brought up its shield which glowed with a golden light, before unching a bst at me while I was still casting a fourth spell.
The golden bst strikes me in my chest, dealing a massive amount of damage. My wolves leap into action, rushing the Tree Sentinel and dealing many strikes.
I drink my Wonderous Physick once more and also a fsk of tears just to get back to full health.
I looked up in time to see the Tree Sentinel fall from the sky, causing a shockwave that left all three of my wolves dead and their spirits dissipating.
After that we engaged in another dance of bdes. I dodged nearly as many attacks as I took, and I dealt a lot of damage to the Tree Sentinel.
But inevitably, I used up all of my fsks. Without healing items, and with a Tree Sentinel that still had over ten percent HP left, it was only a matter of time before I died once more.
"??! ??! ????1?????! ??????!"(???)
I rang the spirit calling bell once more as I walked down the hill towards the Tree Sentinel.
Once more, I can win this, I just need to focus.
My wolves charged the Tree Sentinel once more, I prepared a sphere of fmes and unched it at the Sentinel. I watched the fmes strike true, burning the Tree Sentinel with more damage that my sorcery could accomplish. My wolves struck the Sentinel, drawing its attention for but a moment, but that was all I needed. I unched another blob of fmes at the Sentinel and burned off another portion of its HP.
The Tree Sentinel turned towards me and stabbed its golden halberd through my right shoulder.
I rolled back as my wolves cwed and bit the Sentinel. I downed my Wonderous Physick, healing myself and boosting my stamina.
I unched one more ball of fmes, striking the Sentinel in the back.
The Sentinel leapt up in the air and dropped down doing another shockwave attack. I saw one of my wolves dissipate with the attack, but I still had two more wolves to deal damage and draw attention.
I leapt into the air and brought my sword down on the Sentinel's unguarded back. The Tree Sentinel turned around and made a wide sweep at me, but I ducked under and rolled aside as an overhead strike came down where I was standing.
My wolves jumped at the Sentinel, digging their cws into its armor. The Sentinel shield bashed one of my wolves and struck the other, killing it.
I rushed up and made several quick sshes on the Sentinel. I quickly dashed back from the sideways lunge and rolled aside from an overhead strike. I then stabbed forwards into the Sentinel's front.
My wolf struck the Sentinel's back, which prompted it to turn and smack my final remaining wolf, causing it to dissipate and die.
I leapt up and made another overhead strike, attempting to use the weight of my body and sword to enhance the power of my strike. With a crash I see the Tree Sentinel stagger and slip. I don't let the opening go unpunished.
I make several quick sshes, emptying out my stamina in the process. As the Sentinel gets back up, I notice that it's only a few hits away from death. The Sentinel looks haggard, as if it is on its st legs.
The Sentinel sweeps its bde across my chest, knocking me a few feet away.
As the Tree Sentinel rushes forwards once more, I give a loud shout and stab the Tree Sentinel through the horse's neck and into the Sentinel's chest. I see the Tree Sentinel's HP bar empty, and I feel the power of runes flow into me.
I almost colpsed of exhaustion right there, but I managed to drag myself back to the site of grace and took a nap there.
When I wake up... I'm gonna do some more exploring... Gotta get much stronger than this if I'm gonna fight Agheel.
"????????????! ????????????! ????2?!"(???)
