I approached Yura after I defeated Agheel.
"Beautiful work, felling that dragon. And as such there's something you might like to know. That heart you brought back, its used in Dragon Communion. If you should find yourself overcome by hunger for the heart, yearning for its strength, then seek the decrepit church, on the little isnd off the western coast.
You must not forget though. Those who partake in Dragon Communion will one day shed their humanity. Their hunger for dragon, their yearning, only worsens. Until the floodgates burst, unleashing eternal torment. The strength of a mighty dragon. Magnificent, but deadly. It's no surprise that Dragon Communion is ruinous."(Yura)
I left Yura now that I had the lore. I made my way past Agheel's former standing pce and approached the entrance to the limgrave Tunnels. Once Inside I brought out a torch so that I could see where I was going. Instead of taking the elevator down the tunnel I approached the ledge and looked over, I saw several other ledges which made a path down that was more treacherous than the elevator, but I knew held extra items. Dropping from ledge to ledge I walked down several short side paths and managed to snag a single Golden Rune [4].
I reached the bottom and pulled the lever to bring the elevator down to the bottom. I then proceeded down the tunnel. I encountered several miners in the rge room. However, they were all focused on their mining and paid no attention to me. I snuck up behind the first one and stabbed it through the back. I then had to quickly stab it again as it didn't die with the first strike. Turning to the others in the room who didn't notice me, I put my sword away and took out my glintstone staff. A single cast of Glintstone Pebble was enough to instantly kill each miner I came across.
I went down a side path and killed a few giant rats who were guarding a smithing stone. I then went down the main path and found another elevator. At the bottom, was a room with a cabin in it. Inside the cabin were three dogs, it took me more effort to get rid of the dogs and the very alert miners accompanying them than it took to get through the other rooms. Once I was finished with this area I went back to the elevator and leapt off of it and onto a ledge with an entryway.
I proceeded through and encountered more miners, who all died in one shot. I then came upon yet another elevator. I dropped from ledge to ledge until I got to the ground. I pulled the lever to call the elevator down and turned towards the rge wooden doors that marked the boss rom of these tunnels. I could see through the pnks and knew that this boss was the Stone Digger Troll. I chugged a fsk of cerulean tears to recover my magic and prepared to summon my wolf spirits.
With a bit of effort, I pushed open the doors.
I quickly summoned my Wolves who immediately ran to attack the Troll. I cast several Fme Slings and kept away from the Troll. My wolves kept the Troll occupied, once I ran out of magic, I drew my sword and charged towards the Troll. Between my wolves and my sword, the Troll died quickly and without issue. I obtained the Roar Medallion by defeating this boss. Once I was done with this, I teleported to the Death Touched Catacombs.
These catacombs were quick, easy, and uninteresting. It would've been a lot more difficult if I hadn't acquired the Order's Bde incantation. With the spell active, my sword dealt additional Holy damage and prevented the undead from resurrecting. The boss was a bit more interesting. The Bck Knife Assassin had a lot of lore significance but was a very easy kill. I obtained the Uchigatana, the Assassins Crimson Dagger talisman, and some Deathroot.
I then traveled to the Murkwater Catacombs, which were equally uninteresting aside from the fact that there were traps everywhere. The Grave Warden Duelist was another chump, his attacks were telegraphed, and my attacks did a lot of damage to his unarmored form. I didn't even try to summon any spirits for him. I obtained the Banished Knight Engvall spirit ashes for this victory.
I then traveled down to the Murkwater Cave, where I killed a bunch of bandits and then entered the boss room. I knew how to progress this encounter, I opened the chest and then took the cloth clothes. Then A voice called out from above and behind.
"Well, well, well? Thought you'd just help yourself to a man's personal belongings? You scheming little thief. The gods demand repentance! Cough up your coin, all of it!"(Patches)
Patches, a scummy merchant but he does sell some good stuff. Some very, very good stuff. I just had to get him under fifty percent health. In other words, I needed to smack him around a bit. Once he dropped down and moved to engage, I simply swung my sword a few times and gave Patches a few cuts. Then he backed up and crouched down.
"Wait, wait, please! I surrender! White fg and all!"(Patches)
I waited for several seconds, my sword pointed towards Patches.
"Well, finally come around, have you? I knew you would. You're a man/dy of reason, through-and-through.Ha ha ha..."(Patches)
He hands me a pair of Golden Rune [1]'s, then he continues to speak.
"Ahhh... Well, what do you know? You're Tarnished, like me. Now, how did I get that wrong? I took you for a demi-human, or some such. An innocent mistake, I assure you. Well, water under the bridge. Now we're squared up, how about we py nice from now on?"(Patches)
I really didn't like his scummy attitude.
"Sure. Let's forgive and forget."(Alexis)
"A true dy of reason. Just what I like about you. I'm Patches. Patches the Untethered. Tarnished, like you, only, free-spirited. Nomadic, you might say. Only for now, those retired-soldiers-turned-bandits they're paying for my gruel. In exchange for my, well, showing them the ropes. But honestly... this looting racket is bloody terrifying. Frankly, I'm ready to wash my hands clean. Maybe set up a legitimate shop. So, don't be a stranger, eh? I'll be ready to wheel and deal, come next time. Ha ha ha..."(Patches)
I left the cave and went back to the site of grace. Once there, I rested and took a nap. Once I awoke, I went back into the cave. After killing the two bandits near the entrance, I walked into Patches room. I walked up to him.
"Well, nice of you to drop in, finally. It's a bit ad hoc, but I'm sure you'll find something. And welcome to Patches' Emporium. Where you won't need a refund, 'cause everything's top notch."(Patches)
I observed his wares and purchased a few items. A Stonesword Key, a Cookbook, a few Gold Pickled Fowl Feet, and the big prize, Margit's Shackle. An Item that binds Margit to the ground with divine chains. But its real use is in the release of magic that channels its effect, since that release can trigger certain contraptions in the hero's graves and reveal illusory walls.
"??? ??????????????... ??????!"(???)
I handed over the runes to finalize the purchase, then I turned and left.
"Cheers for that!"(Patches)
I didn't bother with the new chest in the cave, it was a trap made by Patches. Time to go somewhere else, maybe to find Bidd and deal with the Forlorn Hounds Evergaol. Yeah... Time to speak to Kale.
