19 – Weeping Peninsula.

I teleported down to the Agheel Lake South site of grace and proceeded to mount Torrent and charge across the bridge of Sacrifice. On the other side of the bridge, I came across a dy sitting on a rock. I approached.

"Hello? Is somebody there? Might I bend your ear for a moment, please. My name is Irina. I've escaped from Castle Morne to the south. The servants there...have rebelled. I-I can't be sure what it is; my eyesight's been weak since birth you see... But I swear I heard frightful howling from all over. My good father secreted me out the castle but decided himself to stay. He says it's his duty, as commander. I... I fear for father's life. The servants are full wroth. Filled with hatred for every one of us. They've since come for every one of the companions I escaped with. They haven't spared a soul. I fear it's no different at Castle Morne... Please, I implore you. Would you mind taking a letter to my father, at the castle? My sole wish is that he escape, even if his honor should be the price. Please... I just want him to be safe..."(Irina)

  ""(Alexis)

"Thank you, dearly. Then please, take this."(Irina)

Irina handed me a silk handkerchief, with several bloodstains on it.

"Deliver it to my father, who remains in the castle, if you please. Please, if you wouldn't mind. Deliver the letter to my father at the castle. He can be stubborn, but I'm sure he'll come around."(Irina)

I wanted to help her, to move her to a safer pce. I Nodded and proceeded down the road. I killed several mobs on my way towards the rge wall. They were all very weak. Then I saw A bck knight riding on a cloaked steed trotting up the road towards ME. A Knights Cavalry. I swallowed some saliva and prepared myself.

The Knights Cavalry galloped towards me, swinging a three headed fil. It was well telegraphed and easy to dodge, but goSh dang was that knight fast. I could barely get an opening long enough for me to close distance and strike. This battle basically became a war of attrition. How many attacks could I nd compared to how many I could dodge. It took several minutes for me to nd a critical blow and kill the horse. From there it was a simple enough matter to kill the knight. Without his mobility he was A sitting duck. Once dead, I obtained his fil and a new ash of war, Barricade Shield.

Once the knight was dead, I approached a Nearby merchant and purchased a Cracked Pot, Crimson Amber Medallion, and several other items. I then mounted Torrent and used a nearby spirit spring to leap up to Oridys's RIse. A pque at the front read "Seek three wise beasts".

I turned around and saw a phantom turtle. I knew there was another right next to the stairs hiding in a bush, and one who was invisible in the small pond nearby. I systematically killed all three turtles and entered the rise. When I got to the top, I opened a chest and obtained a Memory Stone to increase my spell slots. Upon leaving the Rise I wandered around the pteau and killed an abaster lord. I then returned to the wall and decided to get the map first really Quickly.

I did indeed have to be really quick since as soon as I got the map and tUrned around to flee a rge crash sounded from right behind me. My sixth sense showed me A massive arrow the sizE of a small tower sticking out of the ground where I got the map from. I made my way back to the wall. I then teleported back up to the pteau with Oridys's Rise and I made my way over to the forest lookout tower, where I obtained the hand ballista. I theN went around a side path visible on the map to find the Impaler's Catacombs. The first room was interesting, A staircase that wrapped around an endlessly deep abyss.

The rest of the dungeon wasn't Really interesting aside from many spears lining the various walls, and theN I reached a room where the floor rose up to crush people against A spiked ceiling. I waited until the floor rose up and then I dropped down The gap that was revealed and nded in a pool of water. I followed this water through another room filled with fleshy zombies and I finally got up to a dder which led tO the lever that opeNed the boss doors.

The boss was an Erdtree Burial Watchdog, and It was accompanied by Several fanged imps. I prepared for the battle by casting Order's Bde and drinking my Wonderous Physick. I then quickly summoned my wolves as soon as I entered the room, and I focused hard on killing as many fanged imps as I could. Once the fanged imps were dead my wolves were killed by the boss. The Erdtree Burial Watchdog was a very telegraphed boss, it only performed very specific attacks in very specific patterns. Because I was very aware of those patterns, I could easily Dodge every attack made by the boss. My Own attacks actually did a surprising amount of damage. And the Erdtree Burial Watchdog died within several Minutes.

I teleported back to the wall and made my way into the forest. I found the Demi-humaN Ruins and killed the Demi-human queen to obtain the Demi-Human Queens Staff, as well as the Crystal Burst sorcery. I then found a basin which contained the Faith-Knot Crystal Tear. After which I followed A candlestand phantom to the Earthbore Cave.

Wandering around in the dark, fighting dozens of giant rats, and getting my shoes wet was a surprisingly awful experience. The Runebear boss was a tough opponent, but thanks to my wolves and my Fme Sling spell the Runebear died like all the others.

Afterwards I travelled down to the Morne Tunnel. It was almost exactly like the Limgrave Tunnel, aside from the boss at the end. The Scaly Misbegotten was a total chump. But at least I got a lot of smitHing stones.

I then travelled up onto a cliff, where I obtained the Lightning Strike Incantation and also fought the rgest group of giant bats in the whole game. They were very annoying, and loud.

I then teleported back to the wall and then went and explored the Ailing Vilge. The people and creatures here were infected with the fme of frenzy. Whenever I took a hit, I could feel something worming through my mind. It felt weird, like something was keeping my mind stable and intact, undefiled, but was allowing the sensation of something worming through it to afflict me. My thoughts were clear but tempered by the sensation of being muddled. It was So odd and was very distracting.

That said I did get my hands on a cup of Sacred Tears, and I obtained many Frenzy Fme reted items. I also obtained the Fme of Frenzy incantation.

I then travelled across a bridge and over to the Church of Pilgrimage to Obtain the cup of Sacred Tears. In front of the Church was a phantom.

" ... The mausoleum prowls. Cradling the soulless demigod. O Marika, Queen Eternal. He is your unwanted child."(Phantom)

That was a nice bit of lore right there. I travelled across the Road and went over to the Minor Erdtree. I knew that there was an Erdtree Avatar there, but that those creatures were weak to fire. I summoned the Soldiers of Godrick spirits and coated my sword in fire grease before unching a Fme Sling spell as an opening to the battle.

It didn't st long, the Erdtree Avatars are very weak to fire after all. I obtained the Crimson Burst Crystal Tear and the incredibly useful Opaline Bubble Tear. I then travelled down to the bottom of the map and found the Isoted Merchant. I then purchased a ntern and several other items.

I then went over to the fourth church of Marika and grabbed another cup of Sacred Tears. Then I went down into the Tombsward Cave. The poison was a breeze to get past since I had the Cure Poison spell, and also since the Miranda Blossom boss was extremely weak to fire.

The Ancient Hero of Zamor locked within the Weeping Evergaol was a Relentless opponent, but it only took one attempt. I got Radagon's Scarseal from them.

  "????????! ???????????????!"(???)

I then found a scarab and killed it to obtain the Divine Fortification incantation.

I then travelled over to the Tombsward Catacombs, which went about the same way it always goes. The boss was a Cemetary Shade, but my Order's Bde spell dealt massive damage to it.

I then teleported to the wall and wandered near to the wall so as to not trigger the archer golem. It was night at the time that I did this, and I encountered a Death Bird. Once again, Order's Bde came in clUtch, trivializing an encounter that would've been very difficult otherwise. I then walked the other way and found a teleporting scarab and after killing it with the Storm Bde skill I obtained the Poison Mist incantation.

I then teleported to Roundtable Hold. I was exhausted after the constant travelling and fighting. I needed to sleep. Knowing that the Roundtable was mostly safe, I walked down the stairs and used several stone sword keys to open a couple of rooms. I looted a pair of chests and obtained the Crepus's Bck Key Crossbow, and the Assassins Prayerbook. I then entered a room that looks like a kitchen. With a weary heart and Mind, I walked over to the far wall sat between several tables and counters, and I slumped against it.

My breathing slowed, and my vision darkens. Unlike the other times when I died, no pain accompanied this darkness. I welcomed a break from this and a part of me hoped that this dream would finally end. And so, I slept.

  "????????! ???????????!"(???)
