Perseus’s eyes honed in on the sniper as he dashed towards the man with extreme precision, his boots began to sprout wings like a bird as he began to glide through the sky like skating on ice.
A golden helmet materialized out of thin air within his hand.
The air resistance hit his face like a ten ton truck, as he kept flying through the air, the wings on his shoes began to flap, guiding him towards the sniper.
“I don’t like a drawn out battle”.
He gripped the helmet as he put it on his head, the moment it slipped on, his body slowly began to vanish and completely turn invisible.
The soldier pulled back the bolt handle, as he stared through the scope at what once was Perseus.
Darkness began to fog up around the soldier, as he heard slow and loud footsteps behind his back, a cold blade pressed up against his neck.
Blood began to gush out.
A bear trap laced with adamantite had pierced into Perseus’s foot, as the invisibility began to falter and he stumbled backwards with the trap still attached to his leg, blocking his winged boots.
Perseus gripped the bear trap as he pulled off the steel trap with his own leg, a dent formed in his foot as he looked straight at the soldier.
“Do you think something like that can stop me”?
Perseus dashed towards the soldier, as he immediately fired his sniper at point blank, a loud sonic boom pushed Perseus backwards as a bullet started fly towards him at impossible speeds, a weapon crafted by Hephaestus himself.
A distance this small wasn’t enough.
Perseus’s arm had a hole pierced through it, as blood dripped out from his arm.
Perseus kept walking forwards, he gripped the barrel of the sniper with his bare hands and bent the steel.
“Die”.
He clenched his other fist and pummeled the soldier until he was completely bloodied.
His hand gripped the soldier’s shirt as he continued throwing him around like a ragdoll as the soldier crashed into the wall, dust surrounded him bloodied body trying his best to continue to breathe heavily.
Perseus bent down, staring eye to eye with the soldier.
“Tell me, how many and where are the rest of your companions”?
“I-I”.
Perseus began to shake him rapidly like a bottle of juice.
“Speak quickly, I don’t have time for this”.
“There’s 3 Gods and 10 of us demons protecting lord Nakamura”.
His voice was shaky and his expression showed signs of fear, he began to breathe heavily.
Perseus pressed his blade into the soldier’s throat as blood gushed out, his eyes rolled into the back of his head as his body became slumped and his heart completely stopped.
“I’m sorry but I can’t leave you alive”.
He stared down at the floor as he lifted his foot.
“Nine left”.
He stomped on the floor as the ground beneath him rapidly crumbled, the entire building in itself began to collapse.
Within the rubble, he walked towards a human like figure collapsed under the pile of concrete.
“Come out so I can end your life quicker”.
Perseus walked towards the fallen man under the rubble.
With one wave of his hand, all of the rubble blew away.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Leaving away a single man standing in front of the ancient hero.
The man was hunched over, all he held up as a single handgun towards Perseus.
He wore steel across his body, around his arms and chest to protect himself.
The man held both hands together as the gun fired bullets like a machine gun.
Within Perseus’s hands appeared a steel shield covered in golden accents, he lifted it in front of him as the bullets bounced off.
Perseus quickly closed in the distance, launching an uppercut towards the man’s face, launching him into the air.
The handgun had dropped to the ground as the man turned into a pile of large rocks.
“Hmm”?
He heard footsteps rapidly approaching behind him as the same man appeared ran towards him with a small knife.
[Is it transformation? Could these just be clones then?]
Perseus threw the shield towards the man’s face, completely smashing the man’s nose as he turned into a pile of wood.
Perseus’s eyes darted around the empty landscape.
“It’s teleportation, you can teleport with materials that are made of carbon”.
A soldier stood in the corner with a bloodied nose and a pistol raised up towards Perseus.
A hand went through the soldier’s chest, coming out the other side bloody and greasy.
“You’re having trouble? With these mongrels”?
Phanes pulled out his hand from the man’s chest.
“There were seven others like him, I killed them as well, those annoying little fools”.
His hand was stained with blood but his long coat was completely clean, he was a completely neat freak.
“Putrid human blood”.
He stared down at the body beneath him as blood dripped from his hand into a puddle.
“I think you should stop with the villain dialogue, you can how fate can be like”.
“Hm”. Phanes took out a single cloth as he wiped away the blood from his hand.
“Who do you think I am? I came into this plane as a creator God, such things as fate is below me”.
“Fine fine, I apologize”.
Perseus stood there, leaning slightly to the left due to the injury on his leg.
“Tsk”. Phanes stared at Perseus’s bloody foot, as he began biting his nails.
“Your foot, it’s bleeding, are you not going to heal that”?
His body began to shake, trying to distract his mind from Perseus’s foot.
“I can’t, I don’t have any abilities that can heal myself”.
Perseus smiled as he stared at Phanes.
“What is that? Is that OCD? You can’t stand things not being the way you want”?
Phanes started tapping on the ground beneath him.
“Me? I would never be affected by such a human conditions, that would be ungodly of me”.
Phanes walked up to Perseus, looking down at his injury, his foot stepped onto Perseus’s injury as the blood began to settle and heal.
“Hey, Mr creator God”. Perseus waved his hand in front of Phanes. “What do you know about Erebus? Since you are the second God that came into existence after all”.
“Him? To be honest I really do not remember much about him”. A golden throne manifested in underneath Phanes as he sat down.
“He went quite wild after Kronos wiped Nyx from existence, that’s the reason we’re even here on your dimension, he’s here to collect more Khaos’s energy from you to bring her back, that’s the whole reason everyone on this planet isn’t dead yet, he’s farming you like crops”.
“Hmm so he isn’t just chaos for the sake of destruction, he’s mourning, I get that but why would you ever try to kill your own sibling? Your own blood”?
“We Gods don’t care for our blood as much as you humans do”. Phanes crossed his legs and leaned on his hand.
The throne beneath him began to crack as the entire ground shook rapidly, from the corner of Phanes’s eye a large group of smoke rose up into the sky.
Perseus quickly jumped up the wall of a nearby building as he began to scout the nearby area.
“Seems like a fight is going on over there, I think we should go”.
“Hm, so when is this important human going to come out”?
Phanes stood up from his seat as he walked towards the direction of the smoke.
“He should be there shouldn’t he”?
Beams of light shot through Phanes’s entire body. a burn tearing through his muscles and tendons as his eyes began to adjust to the intense feeling throughout his body.
Blood spurted out as he looked back at a man standing before him.
A man with long white hair and large broken angel wings, his neck had bloody hand prints from the fight with Shinji, he was hunched over and was breathing heavily, his finger pointing towards Phanes.
Phanes’s eyes widened as he saw the man.
“Aether? What is the God of Light doing here”?
His feet began to shake as golden ichor kept pooling underneath him.
Perseus hid behind a corner out of Aether’s vision as he whispered to Phanes.
“I thought you were a primordial, isn’t an attack like this supposed to barely graze you~”?
Phanes sighed as the holes in his body kept dripping golden ichor, he kept his mouth closed.
“There are two types of Gods, most gods are built for destruction, I am a creator god, more made to take attacks and deal damage slowly”.
His voice echoed in Perseus’s head due to Phanes’s telepathy.
“You don’t have to hide to launch a surprise attack, I can handle it”.
With one wave of his hand, Phanes’s injuries immediately healed.
“You’re a God, why are you helping them? The humans are pitiful, they’re destroying themselves, don’t you feel sorry for them? With Nakamura taking over, the humans will finally be free”.
Aether softly held his own neck, stopping the blood from seething any further.
“I don’t care”.
Phanes walked towards him slowly, a golden spear emerging in his hands, but the tip was unusually small and thin like a needle.
Every step he took created a patch of grass underneath him.
“I represent the beginning after the end”.
He dashed forwards, thrusting his spear into Aether’s chest.
The blood rushed out of the hole as the blood crystallized, transforming into flowers.
The surfaces of the building were reflective, thousands of thin beams of light bounced off the walls flying towards Phanes, piercing into every single part of his body.
Phanes kept holding onto his spear as Aether’s entire body began to glow, the spear in his chest began to rapidly shake as the spear rapidly gained heat.
“Explode”.
Phanes’s eyes immediately widened but his expression still cold and chilling.
Phanes bursted into an explosion of light.
Not a single cell of him was left.
Perseus looked around and peeked from his corner as he looked at the bloody and kneeling Aether.
“Human, don’t move”.
Phanes’s voice directly pierced through Perseus’s head, but there wasn’t any sign of him there.
A fly shot past Perseus as flesh began to emerge from the fly, flowers and grass built up as a semblance of a human like figure came out.
“As long as life exists, I cannot die”.
Phanes adjusted his long brown coat, his cold stare staring into Aether’s frightened face.
Aether raised his hand as a ball of light flew from his hand.
Phanes’s body started to glow white as he was pushed backwards, leaving a trail of grass and flowers underneath him.
With a single wave of his hand, he stood up and healed all of his injuries once more.
Aether grasped his own chest as he quickly created distance between them, as he snapped his hands creating a barrier in front of him.
“You think this can stop me”?
Phanes pierced through the barrier, grabbing apart the sides of the magical light barrier and tearing them apart with his bare hands.
“Kill yourself, Aether”.
A beam of light shot through Phanes’s leg, as flowers came out of Aether from within, bursting his body like a balloon.
