Iko was now standing in front of the beast dead body wondering just how would she drink it’s blood, she had already tried biting the body, she broke her teeth, and dissecting the beast and pealing it from scales would be a pain, so she simply grabbed into one of the scales and took it off, now that the beast wasn’t coated in a barrier of corruption it was easier, and then she stabbed the exposed muscle with her tail, absorbing the blood of the beast, she had to give up the sweet taste of corrupted meat, but the blood was the only thing that really helped her, so she would have to accept that she will lose her tasty snack.
My sweet snacks…
As her tail absorbed all the blood, Iko started thinking how to get new clothes, after all her clothes were barely covering anything, and if it wasn’t because there was no humans nearby, she would have been more serious about it, but right now she was taking it calmly, she didn’t know how to craft anything, and even if she was a farmer before, her lose of memories already made her forget how to do anything not destruction or fighting related, so she won’t be able to create new clothes, but maybe when getting the third level of her bloodline she could unlock something?
She opened her status over at the bloodline part and checked if something would help her with that.
With the amount of blood and it’s purity Iko should be able to get to the tier 3 of her bloodline, but she had no idea what each ability would do, she couldn’t identify it until she unlocked it, and she had to drink the blood first, but before that she had to collect it, which was going to take some time by the sheer amount of blood.
By what Iko could see, none of the abilities were going to help her with the clothes problem, but it wasn’t a serious deal right now, there wasn’t any human in this place, so she could go butt naked for all she cared, which she cared a lot but that if her clothes do end up not covering anything anymore the monster couldn’t care less is their prey was butt naked or not.
After 10 minutes which Iko spent throwing scales she took from the body to the trees and eating some of the flesh, as she found that it was rather easy to grab. The beast finally became a dried husk with scales, signal of Iko absorbing all the blood.
“Finally… I almost run out of trees to shoot at…” said Iko with a yawn as she stretched her arms and legs before getting up from the corpse of the beast and moving her tail over to her mouth, she then opened her mouth and took her tongue out, trying to make it as dramatic as possible, and let a single drop of the blood enter her mouth.
As she expected, it was delicious and she felt so alive after a single drop, definitely worth the trouble, she then tasted the drop all she could, just then did she swallowed it but the moment the drop entered her throat, a sharp pain appeared in her heart, she clenched her heart as a system notice appeared.
Iko breath was heavy and cut short, her body was full of energy and her heart was hurting like hell, she felt as if it was being ripped apart by a storm.
Never drinking his blood again…
Then it stopped.
The pain disappeared and with it new notifications came, including the notification of defeating the beast.
Iko body and head started hurting, principally because of the sudden increase in her stats, her physical stat literally went from 61 to 100 in a few seconds, and her mental from 82 to 100 in the same way, the sudden increase of level… was unexpected, principally because just now she noticed she didn’t get notified of the beast death until she drunk the blood.
That means it was still alive.
Iko turned her head to the dried husk that was once the beast and could only imagine how it survived inside his own blood.
Really a sturdy lizard…
The dried husk got a kick as payment for his resilience.
Iko saw the notifications again and decided to check what was everything she got, after all, she had forgotten the look at the description of that quest, apparently, she wouldn’t be able to see it either way if it just now unlocked the description, but either way, better be safe than sorry.
“Let’s see… magic corruption first”
Iko didn’t need to be told twice, the rest of her abilities can wait, but she was going to do magic right here and now.
She inhaled and exhaled before saying the word that made Rainari laugh at her the last time she tried.
“Thunderbolt”
And instead of the lighting that Rainari had summoned, when she said it, her hand got covered in a black lighting instead of shooting where she was pointing at.
“How does this work again?”
That was all she could say before a black lighting shot from her arm over to the trees and incinerated the one it crashed into with a big boom, where before there was a tree, now there was a crater with black lighting jumping from the dirt to the rocks and from the rocks to the dirt.
“That was… Incredible! I can finally do magic!” Iko screamed while jumping around and wagging her tail, when she noticed, she made a bow to never let anyone know about that.
“Well, the next one…” she said while coughing in her hand as if someone would hear her.
“Oh… that good but… how would it work with my soul? Wasn’t my soul kinda broken?”
“Oh… thanks!” Iko was accustomed to the notes of admins already, she was happy because according to the bastard of Jaul, her soul was broken in thousands of pieces, so she could summon various things and that included clothing!
She tried to use it, but the moment she did, she felt weird, as if she was losing something precious, she knew it meant that the ability was working so she tried to concentrate even more, after relaxing her mind and muscles, it felt different, as to try to shape a ceramic, she supposed it meant she was giving it form.
She thought of clothes, a black leather jacket with a white shirt, she also wanted black shorts, she always felt that look was badass and with her dragon transformation, she was going to look cool as hell.
She failed horribly, what appeared was a disfigured piece of “clothing” if it could even be called that, Iko looked at it, thinking.
“W-well practice makes perfect doesn’t it?” she unsummoned the disfigured piece and tried again, and again, and again, 20 minutes in where a total of 5 monsters attacked her, or well, tried, she killed them all with a move of her tail as soon as they got in range, after all, this place only had level 30 monsters max, and she was level 25, she is going to have to go deeper into the jungle to continue leveling up, or she could go to another biome, but she’ll think about it later.
After 3 hours and the moon on the highest point, she finally created some acceptable clothing, she was tired as hell, but now that she was technically resting, the corruption should help her recover mentally, but first, she was going to try her new clothes on.
Emilia didn’t know what to ask about first, but she decided to ask about what wasn’t appearing.
What happened to my race? Am I… not human anymore?
I see… Emilia didn’t know how to react, if she was able to escape and go back, what would her father say? Would he kick her out? Try to kill her like a monster? Or she wouldn’t be able to escape the man in the first place?
She tried erasing those thoughts, but it was hard, she tried distracting herself asking another question.
And why my title, which I didn’t have, my class and my… unique skill. All say [Singularity].
Well, that’s one way to say I will kill everyone that touches me…
Good to know but I also wanted to ask about that, what do you mean about “core”? like the one the humanoid monster have?
To test it, Emilia moved her hands over to the wall of glass that trapped her inside, the moment her hand touched the crystal, cracks started to appear and it began shaking, 5 seconds later and the crystal exploded outwards, but the pieces didn’t fall to the ground, they stayed static in midair.
All the crystal fragments shot like cannons to Emilia’s body, but midway they changed and became glowing dust, when it got closer to Emilia, they started spinning around her and slowly being absorbed into her stomach, well, where her stomach used to go, she guessed her core was there now. As soon as all the fragments were absorbed, a notification appeared.
As much as Emilia wanted to experiment, right now she had to run, since as soon as her core ended absorbing the crystals an alarm popped off, she got up and started running, where? She didn’t know, but she hoped she was going to find an exit.
