Today was the m of the 31st, New Years Eve.
This meant that the whole family would be going to our Parents work for the nearty they threw. Since my parents were high ranking members of the association, and both Aria and Anthem were high ranking adventurers tracted with the association, we went every year.
I still remember the first time I actually made it to midnight to see the new year.
And thanks to this, I nning to go ht after breakfast, so I could get a full 6 hours in the dungeon.
Right away after getting up, I woke up Aria and Anthem right away to make sure I do not lose any time.
We had a good breakfast, with our still hungover parents.
They talked about how they went a little overboard the night before on their date night. This led me to actually helping my mother finish up breakfast.
With that done, Aria and Aold me that they were going to go out and buy some clothes for tonight.
I ended up asking them to buy me some clothes as well, remembering that it had been a while since I got new formal clothes.
The event isn’t a bck tie event, but you were expected to dress up a little for it.
Aria whined a little about me not ing with them, but Anthem did remind her about me wanting to tinue hunting whenever I got a ce.
After that they both agreed to buyihe clothes, they went off and I headed to the dungeon for the day.

Right when I get to the dungeon I get my equipment out and start my first run. I had a few goal on this run.
Firstly was to firm the 45 mi takes me.
But sedly is to try and find out how much EXP I get for speed boost during one run.
Speed Boost - Lv.1 250/1000
Currently I sit at an even 250/1000, but that is with a mix of me doing a lot of things. I know that if I do everything perfectly I will get nothing in defense and hp boost. My strength boost will be based on how many I kill during the first two floors, plus the 20 EXP I get during the boss fight. My light magid Intelligence boost will both get 5 during the boss fight, because of the 5 archers that spawn in the back of the hoard.
This leads me to my third goal of the day, find out an average amount of monsters I run into on each floor during a speed run.
I also decided to use the swords during the whole boss room to get practice with them.
And with all of that I start my first run of the day

And the boss room is done. I get both stones and from all of the hoblins I get away with 3 more. That plus the 15 I got during the main dungeon, I came away with 28 on this run.
My final time was 43 minutes, which is close enough tet range.
And cheg my speed boost.

I got 37 EXP for it.
I still got 95 strength boost EXP and the predicted 5 EXP in both intelligence boost and light magid stly I got 101 EXP in luck boost.
I was way less than one run away from getting luck boost to level 2. With this run as a baseline I would level up Strength boost, the most important skill right now, in a little over 15 runs. Light magic was way farther away at 93 runs. And intelligence boost was an enormous 193 runs away.
Thinking of those numbers is a little disheartening, but I move on to my run.

My sed run gave me new data. Speed gets a seemingly insistent amount of experience per run, sitting around the 35 amount. The first floor always had 25 goblins in my path seemingly. But I got a lot less during the sed floor.
The real ge happened with the amount of magic stones I got after the level up of luck boost. I started to get a lot more of them after that. Insead of getting one for every 5, I started getting one from about half of them.
The total amount I made during this run was 42.

When I finished my 8th run, I was right under my target 6 hours. I also made really goress in my speed boost and strength boost, both being over there half way to level up marks. I was getting into a rhythm with this duo the point where nothing really exg was happening inside. I could totally avoid any archers before the boss room. I now knew all of the behavior of the goblins now so none of the fights really ged in any different ways.
The only differeween each run was how many enemies I faced.
On the pulse side, I now had 10 copies of the horn that summons monsters. I also got another of the knives from the chest.
I retty tired from doing all of the runs back to back, so I walked home pretty casually today.
Online I was looking at the ces fic stones in the goblins dens. I found a post on a forum about someone who said that it was a guaranteed drop once you hit a luck of 50. So my guess at it being about a 50% e, with my luck at 21 is pretty close.
Items drop scale with luck, but also get a lot more uhe higher the level of the dungeon. So if a level one kills a dragon from an A rank dungeon, it will almost definitely drop nothing.
I also submitted another au for the khat was in one of the chests.
After today, I really do not o worry about spending money anymore. I made 359 today. This right here is why a lot of people at least try to be hunters.
Not everyone will do it for 6 hours straight. And most people would be far more reserved then I am during it. But very easily, and with only a little danger, you make a lot of money in very little time.
And it only gets more lucrative with higher rank dungeons.
A regur magic stone from a D rank dungeon sells for 5. One from a k sells for 15. A B rank one Sells for 25. A rank sells for 50. And any stone in an S rank dungeon sells for 250.
But the major selling ones are the S rank dungeon stohey don’t even have a set price. For the most part they are bought at a by major panies or sold through tracts with those pahe only known public au for one, and the price was somewhere in the 10 millie.
In the US there are currently 3 S rank dungeons. They are known as the Demon king's Castle, the temple of rebirth, and the mages sanctuary. It takes a full team of around 10 S ranks with a few A ranks backup to clear any of them. And it takes them over a week to do so.
That or a national rank huhose are the highest rank hunters in the world. And there are only 5 of them. Rumor has it that they are able to clear S ranks by themselves.
But all of them are very private people, so info on them is hard to find.
The only thing people know is that they are super rich, secretive and that all of them awakened during the first outbreak.
While I was scrolling on my phone, I finally made it home a io talk to my family and ge before the party.

After taking a shower and ging into the clothes that Aria and Anthem had bought for me, I made my way down stairs.
Aria had apparently picked out a nice bck shirt and dress pants for me. I then also had a white tie and a bck jacket over that.
Since I didn’t have to dress super fancy, the jacket was a kind of mix between a sports jacket and a hoodie. It still looked quite nid fit the somewhat casual feel the party had requested.
Dad and Anthem both wore something simir, just minus the hoodie jacket, theirs was a normal sport jacket.
But mom and Aria both had on dresses.
They weren’t super fancy dresses, like a wedding or prom dress. They probably fit the dress code eveer than the rest of us do.
“Well, my dear. You look amazing” dad says when he sees mom.
“Oh, so sweet” mom said, walking over and kissing dad.
“Alright you too, we o start heading over” Anthem said to them, with the three of us waiting by the door.
“Yeah , yeah. Lets go kids” dad said, pig up his car keys and leading the way out the door.

The association building we were going to is the same one I did my registration at. It is also the building where I was going to take the highschool exam ter this week.
The outside of the building seemed like a major skyscraper. It was one of the rgest buildings iy, having around 50 floors. The building had several different things for huo use. One of them was a state of the art training area, several areas with resources for huo learn about dungeons, and all of the testing for new hunters and the rank up exams.
But there were also a number of areas oop floors that tonight will be turned into the area for the party. This was a big party for a lot of the guilds, as well as the association.
Most guilds, instead of throwing their own, just use their io this one instead. The guest list had several hundred people ing to it. And because of my family all being invited indepely of each other, I was also on that list, as their guest.
As I ranked up as an advehere was a ce I would end up being invited without them. But I would o bee S rank for that. So, that was out of the question for at least the o year.
The fastest ever S rank, for those who did not participate in the first outbreak, was 1 and a half years. And one year is the minimum to be able to take the S rank exam.
We were currently waiting by the entrao the association building, so they could let us into the party.
Eventually we made it to the front of the line.
“Please show your Id” the person at the front said. Much like hunters, association staff are also given ID’s to use for hunter business. All of the invitations are lio these ID.
Once all of them are sed, the person askes “Wele, Bck Family. Are any of you using your plus 1?”
“Yeah, I am” Aria said, gesturing to me, who was standing behind her. Sihey ged how the invite was given to our family after Aria and Anthem became S rank, I o act as one of their plus ones, si was no longer ‘Andrea and Daniel Bck plus children’ and now 4 separate invites.
“Ok, I get a he person asked Aria and me.
“Zenith Bck. He’s my younger brother” Aria said.
“Oh, thank you. Ah, do you have a form of ID? Just in case you have to be let bato the party”
They had asked me this the st 4 years, but for the first time I did, so I no longer o get a wristband. I hand over my hunters ID, and they s it. This will act as them both knowing everyone who is at the party and so I get ba, just in case I leave during the party.
“Thank you. Please enjoy the party” they say a us into the building.
One elevator ride ter, we are let into the party.
Held oop floor of the association, the elevator opens to a big lobby area with several tables off to the side with food. The middle of the lobby was cleared out for people to da, but currently, sihe party was still starting, nobody was doing that yet.
Do to the size of this party, there were several different people scheduled to perform tonight. Currently though, it was only a little light music being pyed by a DJ.
And we finally made it to the party.
