Volume 7. Chapter 90: Unsure Victory. (Chapter 691.)

  Chapter 90: Unsure Victory.

Senra: “M-Melta! One of them is… a Highest Goddess, while the other is… something far more powerful!!” She excimed, fear clear in her tone.

  Melta: “…”

Hearing this, Melta struggled to keep herself calm. If it was just Celia, Melta, also being a Highest Goddess, had a chance of winning.

Especially with her group. Oddly, she quickly noticed how the Game skipped an entire section, throwing literally almost every Pyer in just a small few Dimensions.

Luckily, Melta was the strongest one here, so she soon took up a comfortable position, acting as a true queen. Feeling happy about having so many mortals, and even Higher Beings, under her control.

Melta: “Did you… grasp their intentions?” She asked with a queenly tone.

Senra: “They… Gemi was told that they were Pyers, and they even asked for hidden Pyers, as well. Those two are… currently just resting at an inn.” She answered, sweating.

Before this, Melta was aware of Celia. But the woman couldn’t hide how weak she was, thus, Melta allowed the weaker Pyers to go kill her.

Faith, on the other hand, had completely concealed her presence and power. Since she allowed this to happen, Melta had indirectly insulted a being whose power… she couldn’t hope to gauge.

A weakened, or even full-strength Celia… would a be a challenge. In this room were five women in total. Each were Higher Goddesses, so Melta’s fighting strength wasn’t weak in the least. But, add Faith into the fight and… Melta knew that she barely had a chance of survival, let alone fighting those two.

Melta: “…” “If this wasn’t a Game… I’d have run away already!” She thought with a loud, upset tone.

At this moment, Melta’s only joy was… that she didn’t go after the weak Celia on her own, or with her group. If she did, then Melta and them would surely all be dead by now.

Senra: “W-what are we to do, Melta? We cannot win against those two… won’t this be the end of us?” She asked, still shaking like a leaf.

Melta: “It… shouldn’t be. The Game doesn’t have to end. Perhaps… we can convince them to just leave us alive, and rule over this dimension together?” She proposed.

Those words… were enough to calm down Senra and the others. But, in truth, Melta didn’t believe her own proposal in the least. After all, Faith had murdered the other Pyers with no remorse…

Though, in reality, Maralia did, in fact, trick Faith. A bloodbath was left, but Faith killed mere meat puppets, letting those she fought forfeit without her knowledge.

  Sneeze!

Faith: “?” “Is someone talking shit about me?” She jokingly expressed in her mind.

Uh… Faith wouldn’t get mad about me saying those things about her, right? Either way… there were female Pyers involved in that battle, and with the desire to not let anyone else in the Game die… Maralia secretly moved. She saved them all. Hopefully, Faith never learns of this…
