Volume 7. Chapter 91: Almost Done. (Chapter 692.)

  Chapter 91: Almost Done.

Before Melta and her group could get complacent, they unmistakingly noticed Celia’s aura quickly closing in on them.

Soon, Celia, along with Faith, arrived at Melta’s taken-over castle. The knights and guards… let them enter without resistance, fully aware that nothing they did would even slightly matter.

Celia: “Not really a warm welcoming…” She said with a sigh.

Faith: “Well, why would they bother? After all, the remaining Players… must think that we’re here to kill them, and win the Game.” She replied with a giggle. “Me, having massacred so many Players earlier… absolutely only added to their fear.” She secretly thought, still giggling.

As they walked, maids and the like, all parted for their way, Celia couldn’t help but ignore them, and overthink something that Faith just mentioned.

Celia: “Win the Game?” She repeated, with a raised eyebrow.

Faith: “That’s right! You see, our group has thoroughly destroyed the Game, and has all forfeited. Now, it is just us, and those in the castle, remaining in it.” She explained.

  Celia: “…”

She assumed that something like this happened, with strong race Higher Beings appearing in this dimension. But to hear it be the truth… Celia felt some happiness from it.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

For one, the nightmare was now almost over, with all of her family surviving. On top of that, her health only needed to hold up for a bit longer, and then Celia can rest.

A Walk To The Throne Room Later.

Melta: “So… you’ve come, huh?” She asked, trying her best to not seem afraid as can be.

Celia: “Yes, we’re, in fact, standing right before you.” She replied with a smile.

Melta: “Senra, do your best.” She ordered, with feigned cheeriness.

Senra: “…” “She betrayed me!” She exclaimed in her thoughts, now furious.

The others in Melta’s group were given similar orders. And, since Melta was quite the control freak, they were under Soul Contracts. Among other requirements, the SC they signed… dictates that they must follow all of Melta’s orders.

  Slash!

Senra: “If I am to die, then I’ll do so fighting until I no longer can!” She yelled with a righteous tone and expression, clashing swords with Celia.

Following her, the others had also attacked Celia at practically the same time. Faith didn’t intervene, which gave Melta some hope. “Maybe… their relationship… isn’t as good as I thought?” She thought with a relieved tone.

Celia: “…So weak.” She voiced with amazement.

Senra, Melta, And The Others: “( o_o).”

But this fleeting hope… fell away within the next second. Celia merely used a sword to block Senra’s attack, purely for the woman to save face.

With neither of them bothering to stay honorable, and stupidly fight her one-on-one, Celia didn’t give them any more respect. Unlike with Senra, Celia did not even bother to block the others.

Celia: “Is this all such power beings can do?” She asked, her tone genuine.

Though not blocking, not a single attack left any damage on Celia, leaving even her clothes undamaged and pure. Celia was… and is still poisoned by the System. That is because… Celia is literally the strongest Highest Goddess in existence. Something that Melta now realized…
