“Now, all you need to do is will the magic to flow through you, and speak the words. Of course, you can’t do it here,” her father said with pride and a gentle tone of voice, “yet you can do it on the sixth floor when your sisters are done with their schooling.”
Tanya nodded her head with a smile on her face. These smiles were genuine. The one thing she loved about her second life, was magic and the power over the world she had with it. it could be said to be her fixation other than her job.
There they were, in the library reading a book on magic. Her father Ainz Ooal Gown held her in his p as he read the book to her. she had been taught Japanese, or this world’s version, buy her mother. The book that they were reading together was in Japanese.
As she read along with him, she couldn’t help but feel as though she was being duped a little. After all, this world was more like Tolkien’s works than any alternate history earth. The world didn’t even have a name for crying out loud!
She also couldn’t help but feel satisfied though. After all, she had argued and fought the will of an entity that seemed like a god. She stood victorious and he y dead. This life was her vacation, no it was her retirement.
“There, now you know how to cast magic arrow,” her father said as they wrapped up their theoretic learning for the day, and moved onto the real stuff.
…
There they were, at the sixth floor yet again. Well, when she meant yet again she meant that in retion to the st time she learned in the makeshift school house that her father’s second wife made.
The building itself was at the edge of the forest on the sixth floor. All things considered, it was a rather nice pce. The only downside was, was that it was small. After all, it was modeled after the te 19th century American school houses.
The fake sun was shining, the birds that they had kidnaped were singing, and finally, the dragonoids were working. Tanya looked on at the massive servants. They were tall, scaly people with whitish scales. As they pced the targets in a line for her to fire upon, she looked to her father who was standing off to the side.
He had his robes that he usually wore put away, and was instead wearing a suit that all three of his wives thought looked utterly dashing on him. Tanya just thought he looked like a cards dealer, but that was her opinion.
Next to him were his three wives, her two sisters, Yuri Alpha, and finally Ninya. They were here to see her use her first spell as well. She herself was rather happy for the chance to show her family the progress she made. yet she couldn’t help but feel this was a bit much.
As she looked at her father, he walked to her. He kneeled next to her and put a hand and her shoulder. His aura of utter death tampering down on itself as he spoke. His power was truly terrifying.
“Ok Tanya,” he said in his deep and fatherly tone, “Just do as the book said to, and you’ll cast the spell,” he intoned with confidence that spread to her.
She nodded her head to him. He nodded his head as well and stood up as she readied her spell. She cast her arms forward and began the process of arcane casting that this world processed.
She felt the energy of mana flood filled, but overfill her limbs. Her mind’s attention peaked, and she focused all her will on this moment. She felt the magic circle form as she swirled the magic of her body correctly, and the spell was loosed as she said the words.
“Magic arrow,” she said, and a simple, yet oddly powerful magic arrow came to life and flew out of the circle she had made.
As it flew straight, it hit the bullseye of the target that had been set up and destroyed the center as it connected. The force was slightly surprising to her, yet she had expected the power to be a bit much as this was her first time using the spell.
Yet, when she looked behind herself, she couldn’t help but be confused by her own father’s confusion. Lady Aeskell, though, who had been watching the whole thing with a smile on her face was bouncing on her feet in joy.
Her own mother, Albedo, was also happy. After all, she could tell by the signature look of superiority on her face as she side-eyed Shalltear. The vampire didn’t seem to care at all. Which was out of character for her. she simply looked on with a happy smile at the little girl.
“Tanya, it seems that you were born with a slight talent for arcane magic,” Aeskell said, “now, normally that very fact that this magic arrow was so powerful could be expined away as your racial boosts and traits. Yet, this isn’t the only reason the spell was much stronger than the average,” she said with a motherly smile on her face.
Albedo pulled back her smile, and looked at Aeskell with a slight snarl.
“What do you ever mean,” was all she said.
Aeskell and Shalltear looked at her with equal shit eating grins on their faces. Aeskell made to expin, yet it was her father that spoke. This made the snarl that was on her mother’s face disappear, and was repced with a maiden’s smile.
“You knew of this talent, yet you kept it a surprise?” he said, “that could have ended badly for her. After all, she might have misjudged her strength and hurt herself,” he pointed out and Tanya leveled an oddly cute gre at her other mother.
“she’s resistant to such weak magics. After all, she has some really good racial traits,” Aeskell said clinically.
Her father just shook his head with exasperation as he usually did.
…
Wictoria looked at her older sister with glee. She had finally learned magic, she had finally started what she set out to do. The young girl had a barely concealed grin etched upon her face, her pointed teeth showing like she was a shark.
Erika seemed creeped out by this, yet Wictoria knew that that was simply what her sister looked like when she smiled truthfully. Though, she admitted to herself that her sister was scary to look at the first time she had met her in her first life. It had faded in time, however.
“Now, what other spells can I learn?” her sister spoke in a glee filled voice, after all why wouldn’t she?
Why wouldn’t she want to fly once more? To strike down her enemies from the sky?
