“I’m sorry. I didn’t have any other choice. They’re coming after me and I didn’t want you to take risks. After all, you said to me that you wouldn’t want to live in fear from being hunted all along,”
Sven said in a low voice as he watched her enjoying his foods.
“And, I didn’t know whether you’re also arranged by them. If you’re not one of them, you will become someone on their list immediately once I showed my love for you. I really had no good choice,” he said sincerely.
Elizabeth put a chicken nugget into her mouth and looked at Sven in surprise.
“Didn’t you see that scene?” she asked in a low voice after eating the chicken nugget.
Sven tapped the table with his forefinger and tried hard to recall everything of that last moment.
Unfortunately, he didn’t recall anything useful nor anything strange.
“What scene? Can you describe me about it?” he asked helplessly.
Elizabeth drunk some coke to flush down the food residues and greasiness in her mouth.
“After the world collapsed into nothingness, I saw a big machine with a glowing yellow crystal floating in the middle and a man in white robe was sitting on the floor in front of it. All of a sudden, lights came out from the crystal and it slowly melted in the lights. Yes, strange marks also appeared on the machine. As for the man, he bled from his orifices and collapsed onto the floor. I think he likely died right away,” Elizabeth said calmly, “and, I think that things are not that simple.”
After telling him what she saw, she pushed the fries plate back to Sven and slowly drunk the coke in small sips elegantly.
Sven was now sure that he didn’t see any of what she just said and felt really complicated.
He also speculated various things based on his knowledge and tried hard to connect the dots.
That thing was definitely a certain type of sealed artifact of a base.
The man who died in front of it was clearly the user who was targeting him.

Back then when he was in the service, he even participated in several missions to escort some of them. He used to regard them as honorable sirs but not anymore now.
As for the yellow gem, he got no clue about it because he was just a low level combatant at that time.
Overall, the entire artifact seemed to be gone and it probably really hurt them.
He felt that it might be the reason why they didn't come after him as hard as it used to be.
Sven looked down at the empty food tray and got up to order some more food.
Of course, he was not in the mood to enjoy the food in the restaurant anymore so he simply ordered for takeout.
He then looked at Elizabeth and wondered a bit.
It seemed that Elizabeth was not one of them. Moreover, she seemed to have obtained something from the previous accident.
Yes, it was a fateful accident.
He couldn’t read her mind so he had no idea about what she exactly got.
But according to what she had just said, she really gained a somewhat buggy ability.
At least, he felt that it was really a god given ability and god had probably made a joke on him.
Granting the wife with the ability to sense the whereabouts of her husband?
Sven couldn’t help but felt somewhat irritable at this point.
What if she was lying? But what if it was all true?
A lot of complicated thoughts flashed on and on. However, he felt that she was not lying or rather he firmly believed that she would not lie.
All in all, Seven felt that he got screwed up.
As he accepted the bitter truth, he decided to follow the same old way which he did in that dreamy world again.
Sven rubbed his eyebrows and took off a ring from his left hand's ring finger.
It was the ring he used to propose Elizabeth in the dreamy world created by an unknown artifact.
“Dear Elizabeth Rosewood, my fateful maiden guided by the divine will, under the witness of holy spirits, his angels and his majesty Steller, are you willing to accept this ring and fulfill the obligation and the duties of a wife to me while being faithful to me, Sven Richard Smithson, forever?” he said.
At the end of his speech, Elizabeth immediately snatched away the ring and wear it on her ring finger without any hesitation. She then looked the familiar ring and smiled happily.
“Yes, I do,” she said as she looked at Sven with a sweet smile.
At this point, the other diners in the restaurant also noticed the couple in the corner who did a sudden proposal.
They didn’t ask anything, They immediately clapped, cheered and blessed them. The simple minded folks even felt that they should have noticed it early and witnesssed the whole process.
Under the cheers and clapping sounds from the diners, Sven leaned forward and put on a necklace with a sun emblem pendant on Elizabeth's fair neck.
“Under his grace, Sven Richard Smithson and Elizabeth Rosewood have married successfully. From now on, they shall fulfill the respective duties of a husband and a wife faithfully without cheating and betraying to this marriage. God bless,” Sven said in a calm voice as the conclusion.
He then stood up with a smile and thanked the other diners. Later, he called the waiter and bought beer for everyone.
