A week had passed since Akihiro took control of Kuroya's body.During that time, he had not only adapted to the body, but had also been gathering information and getting used to Kuroya’s life: meeting his friends, spending time with his sister and Mikoto, and taking care of less important matters.
It was a bit annoying, though, because Kuroya had a very hostile attitude toward members of other cns, often getting into trouble with people from the Hyuga cn and the former Senju cn. Of course, this now brought Akihiro a lot of complications. The only positive thing was that, because of that attitude, Kuroya had many friends within the Uchiha cn.
While Kuroya was asleep, he immediately woke up upon sensing a presence entering his room. He didn’t make any sudden movements as he slowly reached for a kunai hidden in his clothes—only to realize it was a familiar presence. He put the kunai away and continued pretending to be asleep.
When the presence got close to him, Kuroya braced himself.—Wake up, Kuroya! —shouted Mikoto, yanking the bnket off along with Kuroya himself.
Kuroya fell to the floor but avoided any injury. He simply pretended to be hurt, gring at Mikoto.—That wasn’t necessary, you know —he said while getting up and checking himself.
—I wouldn’t have to do this if you got up earlier. We’re te —she said, sitting in a chair next to the desk. —Hurry up and get ready. I don’t want to be te.
Kuroya sighed.—Fine, but let me shower. Go talk to my sister in the meantime.
—Alright, but don’t take too long, or I’ll drag you out of the bathroom if I have to —Mikoto said as she walked out.
Kuroya rubbed his forehead, slightly irritated, grabbed a few things, and headed into the bathroom. He took a quick shower, since there wasn’t much time left.He came out and changed into some casual clothes Kuroya usually wore—common among Uchiha kids.
He headed straight to the main room, where Mikoto and his sister, Chiharu, were chatting cheerfully.—What are you two talking about so cheerfully? —Kuroya asked as he approached, drying his hair with a towel.
Mikoto looked at him with a smile.—Nothing important. Are you ready? Do you want to eat something first?
—I never miss one of my sister’s meals. We’re still within the safe window anyway —Kuroya replied as he sat down.
Chiharu smiled warmly as she pced a pte in front of him.—Don’t eat too fast, but don’t make Mikoto wait either.
—Yeah, yeah. I’ll keep that in mind next time —he said while eating, not too fast, but not too slowly either.
A few minutes ter, Mikoto grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the house.—See you ter, Sister Chiharu! —Mikoto called out.
—See you ter, sister. Have a good day —added Kuroya.
—Have fun at the Academy and don’t cause too much trouble —Chiharu said with a smile as she watched them leave.
Mikoto and Kuroya walked toward the Academy, chatting casually.—So, what do you pn to do once you graduate? Join the Military Police or become a ninja? —Kuroya asked.
Mikoto was in her final year at the Ninja Academy, just one step away from becoming a ninja, so she’d soon have to make her decision.
She pced her hand on her chin, thinking.—I don’t know. My parents say joining the Military Police is the best way to develop my Sharingan and learn Uchiha techniques. But most of the Police stay in the vilge and rarely go on missions, so I wouldn’t get much practical experience. It’s a hard choice —she said with a sigh.
—Besides, the Military Police have a bad reputation with the rest of the vilge, and there are always conflicts between them and the ninjas or civilians. I don’t want to be part of that.
Kuroya nodded. It wasn’t anything new or unknown—even now, the issues within the vilge were far from small.Although the conflict between the Uchiha and the rest of the vilge hadn’t fully erupted yet, it was clear that dissatisfaction was gradually building up. And that wouldn’t stop, especially not after the death of the Fourth Hokage and the Uchiha cn's subsequent isotion at the edge of the vilge.
Mikoto wasn’t stupid—she had noticed that the Uchiha weren’t well-liked, mostly due to their role in the Military Police. The Uchiha already knew this, but at this point, they couldn’t do anything about it. Nor were they willing to give up the little power they had left. So the dissatisfaction would only continue to grow.
Fortunately, with the arrival of two ninja wars, both the Uchiha and the vilge had been forced to focus on external enemies and make peace internally—at least for a while.
Kuroya and Mikoto split up once they arrived at the Academy.Kuroya made his way to his cssroom and, upon entering, was immediately surrounded by his fellow Uchiha friends.
—Am I hallucinating, or did Kuroya actually show up early?—I thought Mikoto would have to drag you here.—A kidnapping, and now the idiot Kuroya shows up early and doesn’t skip css... —they said, ughing.
Kuroya shook his head and replied:—None of that, idiots. Mikoto just woke me up early and forced me to come. I wanted to spend the rest of the day napping in the park —he said, imitating Kuroya’s usual carefree tone perfectly.
—That makes more sense. For a second, I thought you had turned into a model student —another one joked with a grin.
They kept chatting and joking until the teacher entered the room. At that moment, everyone went to their seats and fell silent.
