  Chapter 96: Winding Down.

  Thud!

Melta: “D-dammit!” She excimed, spitting out blood.

Like a forever blessed being, Celia stood above Melta. The woman had been hit down from the sky, crushing to the snowy nd below, thoroughly wounded.

Celia: “Do you concede?” She asked with a serious expression.

  Melta: “…”

While dirtied, bloodied, with her clothing mostly destroyed, Melta was greatly vexed. Celia’s clothes, like they were Magic (they were), showed not a single sign that she had been fighting this entire time.

Celia: “Melta, just surrender, and you will…” Her words stopped.

Melta: “You…” She said in shock.

The Audience And Celia’s Family: “…”

Celia was fine fighting Melta, not receiving a single injury, or any indication that Celia struggled. In the end, this fight was merely a workout, even for the weakened Highest Goddess, Celia.

But, Celia did have to use Divinity during it. If she didn’t, then the final part of the Game would have gone on for months, instead of the few hours, with Celia’s efforts. Though, the strain of this was now showing, as Celia, for the first time in this battle, was kneeling on the ground, spitting up countless coughs of blood.

Melta: “…” “This wasn’t from my efforts… How utterly fucking vexing!” She angrily thought.

During this fight, Melta was keenly aware of Celia’s weak body and soul. Though, despite this, Melta couldn’t even leave a scratch on Celia.

Melta: “What are you, Celia? A child of Destiny? Huh?… You are… it can’t be! How can you be so damn young, yet have such power?!” She yelled, vexed and shocked beyond belief, after checking out Celia’s Status.

Celia: “Perhaps… I am. But does any of that matter, Melta?” She replied with a weak smile, blood trailing down her mouth.

Melta: “…” “Should I really be thinking that… the woman who just pushed me to the closest to my death I’ve ever been… is amazingly attractive?” She thought, her mind now full of conflictions.

Celia’s group couldn’t hear her thoughts, nor even listen in on Melta’s and Celia’s talk. To the others, both were on the ground, clearly wounded.

Ria: “Zia…” She said in her mind.

Zia: “There is nothing more to be done, Ria. This is the fate that we’ve forced upon Celia…” She said with a defeated tone.

All here knew just how close to death Celia was. And her group, her family, felt like it was their fault. If only they had convinced, or even forced Celia to be selfish… then she’d have at least lived far longer.

Ria: “We can’t do anything? Not even… ease her pain?” She weakly asked.

Zia: “Faith and Maralia have done that already.” She expined.

Ria: “Then… shouldn’t we at least say goodbye to her?” She added, unwilling to leave it at this.

Zia: “We had a good time with her a while ago, didn’t we? That was our goodbye. Now, we must watch the end of Celia as we know her, as it is our duty to witness her finale.” She replied with a stern tone.

  Ria: “…”
